01:24mercedes suv the car behind her also a mercedes suv so i moved over thinking okay let him pass me
01:31he moved over and that made me uncomfortable so i drove a little faster and he drove a little faster
01:38so she called 9-1-1 while in the hills but got a recording all lines are busy you'll be answered in
01:43the car and the order in which you yeah and all i could think of was really really she went down
01:50the hill on golf things road she heard the same recording over and over again can i say it sure
01:56oh crap oh crap oh crap oh crap easy that's when i realized i'm on my own here by the way uh this
02:03isn't just a california problem uh a bunch of people chiming in here driving on 96 traffic stop people
02:10were turning around on an on-ramp one person was t-boned and flipped we called detroit 9-1-1
02:16and we were given a message that said all lines are busy try again later well okay i could see that
02:22i feel like there's one person in detroit answering the phone desperately i mean they always say if
02:29something goes down in detroit yeah uh someone in massachusetts my dad hit a deer called the cops no
02:36one answered called 9-1-1 was directed to the station voicemail oh yeah went to the station
02:43no one was there all the lights were off isn't there some something that shouldn't happen it
02:49shouldn't because i'll tell you once i know like the cops are closed yeah it's basically if you can
02:56do whatever you want when the cops are closed that's all that stuff yeah yeah talk to about that
03:01like seriously somebody needs to answer 9-1-1 how do you check emergency voicemails
03:05like that's just how bad those are oh god they're all bad they're all so bad
03:12hi hi oh yeah i'm trying to leave a message i just chopped my leg off
03:18i just i'm bleeding out terribly you get it hours later yeah i'm being chased

03:41sometimes you know
03:48next day you get a text message from 9-1-1 who dis
03:52yeah exactly
03:54and i was like oh there that person died
03:56like oh your mailbox is full
03:58let me imagine you get that message the mailbox is full
04:02yep yeah i'm glad i'm not in charge of it because it would be
04:05a 9-1-1 voicemail system is insane what kind of world are we living in
04:09i don't know that's the first i've heard of that
04:11jesus i just assume you call 9-1-1 you get help
04:16don't you assume though that that must mean so let's say i'm assuming
04:19you have more than one person there right like you have like a team let's say
04:24i'm hoping do you have a team i mean i guess it depends on how big the city is
04:29right and so like everybody's on the phone like six things maybe are happening at
04:35happening at one time and everybody's on the phone
04:38well in california it's out of control right it's like pretty much lawless
04:41especially in the san francisco area
04:43i would assume like that a california 9-1-1 center should look like like a telemarketing
04:49call center there should be that many people taking call that's what i thought those call
04:54centers were like i thought they had like hundreds and hundreds of operators i don't
04:57know like i mean i think they just have a like a team
05:00unless you cut budgets and you can't afford it
05:02yeah that's what happens right
05:04not the place how it goes cut the budget at the 9-1-1 call center no no you hope your tax
05:12dollars are going to help you when you need it right yeah
05:19you
