00:00All right, well, here we are hanging out backstage with the lovely ladies from Tiger Lily Gold.
00:05Welcome to Tampa, ladies.
00:06Thanks for having us here.
00:08All right, we've got Kendra and Krista, and you guys are real-life sisters.
00:13We are, both mom and dad.
00:14I mean, same genetics.
00:16It really happened.
00:17Yeah, I'm the oldest, middle, and then we have another sister.
00:20She's not a part of the band, though.
00:21Why not?
00:22She's going into the medical field.
00:23She's going to do great things for this world.
00:26But no, honestly, we love her so much.
00:28She can be, one day, maybe like the merch seller or something.
00:32Now, does she have a singing voice like the two of you do?
00:35She doesn't enjoy it as much as we do.
00:37That's Krista's nice way of saying no.
00:41I gotcha.
00:42So a lot of us don't know a whole lot about you.
00:45You guys are from the Midwest, North Dakota, right?
00:47North Dakota, which is...
00:49We're up in North Dakota, so there's not a lot of country music artists that move down to Nashville from there.
00:53So we're trying to represent the state well.
00:55It's very cold, very opposite of Florida.
00:57But I feel like Florida and North Dakota, they're just as country as each other, though.
01:01There's a lot of people from North Dakota that move down here in the winter.
01:06And I understand why.
01:07I'm from your neighboring state, Minnesota.
01:09Yes.
01:09But I do not hear the accents.
01:12I still have my Minnesota accent that, of course, J.R. and Kevin give me a lot of crap about all the time.
01:16Every time I say boat or coat or...
01:18Oh, I mean, if we drink enough tequila or we're back up in North Dakota for, like, a few hours, it'll start...
01:24It just...
01:24Oh, yeah.
01:25Like, it'll click right back in.
01:27But, no, we've been in Nashville now for six years, so we've lost...
01:31And we played down on Broadway for three years, so I feel like we just kind of evened out our accent.
01:37Like, it's neutral now, but every once in a while we still say, y'all.
01:40That's, like, the only Southern word we have, y'all.
01:43And then, bag.
01:44Oh, still, like, bag.
01:45Oh, yeah.
01:46Like, it's still...
01:47We still have our...
01:48I have a...
01:48I found a cute bag.
01:49Yeah, yeah.
01:50Bag.
01:50Bag.
01:50A trash bag.
01:51Okay.
01:52Yeah.
01:52All right.
01:52So, see, I'm not the only one.
01:54All right.
01:54So, you guys moved to Nashville, and you guys got a pretty good gig right away working for
01:59Dierks Bentley at his bar, right?
02:01Yeah.
02:01Tell us about that.
02:02We spent two years at Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row playing four-hour cover shifts three times a week,
02:08but we had to audition for it.
02:10So, we went in, and we were going to Belmont University at the time.
02:13We skipped school, went and auditioned, and they gave us a couple of those really late-night shifts,
02:18and then we worked our way up.
02:19But it was so much fun.
02:21We met so many people down there.
02:22We got to learn all these cover songs.
02:24We got to meet Dierks once or twice when he popped into the bar, but those were some fun times.
02:28Yeah, I can imagine.
02:29All right.
02:30So, let me ask you.
02:31A lot of sisters fight.
02:33They bicker, clothes, hair, makeup, all that kind of stuff.
02:37How do you guys do this, being sisters?
02:39Because that's tough.
02:40I mean, we spent a lot of time together.
02:42We're honestly best friends at the end of the day.
02:44We get along so well.
02:46Anyone on our team will tell you we actually do get along really well.
02:49But every once in a while, we'll, you know, we get annoyed with each other every once in a while.
02:53But we have a really good rebound rate.
02:55So, if we're yelling at each other, really mad at each other, it's like 10 seconds go by and we're back to normal.
03:00So, we're good.
03:01Wow.
03:01I love that.
03:01Well, we are excited to see.
03:03We haven't heard a whole lot from you guys.
03:05So, I'm excited to hear the ladies tonight from Tiger Lily Gold.
03:09Anything?
03:10Can you give us a hint about anything?
03:12Yeah, our whole goal is to bring some girl group energy to country music so you can expect a lot of energy, some new music, and yeah, it's going to be a fun partay.
03:21Well, their latest EP is called Blonde.
03:23So, if you need a third member, I could kind of fit in.
03:26Blonde.
03:27I love it.
03:27Tiger Lily Gold, everybody.
03:29Talk to me.
03:47In that sent I.
