00:00tonight is given the likelihood i mean given the ongoing uh influence that donald trump has over
00:05the republican party what's the likelihood that he may run for a third term although the
00:10constitution says that he cannot run and what should we be doing as democrats to prepare for
00:15that okay well that is your question is more apropos than than you might realize um you've got
00:30steve bannon already saying we're preparing for a third term you've got people saying that they're
00:38looking at ways to get around uh that constitutional prohibition um and you've got people who are
00:47actually saying i mean i've had more than one person to say to me um we got a supreme court
00:55that may interpret uh that constitutional amendment a little differently from what we
01:02uh we may uh see it uh and when we read it and so that is a very serious uh thing for us to keep in
01:12mind now i'm gonna tell you right now what more than anything else will impact that notion
01:24what happens the two things the first one is going to take place this year in virginia and new jersey
01:35those two elections this year and the midterm elections next year will have more impact
01:44on that question than anything else i say tonight and that's why uh we have to win these elections
01:53and that's why if you got friends and neighbors in new jersey and uh virginia spend a weekend with
02:03them and help knock on those um yeah so we got to nationalize this effort in a way that we never have
02:19said before and you've got more friends now we've got more friends in this question than you really
02:26realize and i wouldn't i wouldn't say this if i didn't believe it strongly and i i i take my a weekly poll
02:36not the way christian knows do polls when i step on an airplane i'm polling
02:46i'm in the airport i'm polling i watch the way people react to me and to each other
02:59and when people step on the airplane and they looking down or looking up and don't want to look at you
03:07that tells me one thing
03:10but when they look in your face or touch you on the shoulder or say keep fighting you got more friends in
03:19your life they're saying that over keep fighting so we've got to fight we cannot sit out of the thigh
03:29and just give up because the headlines in the local papers may be saying one thing there are more
03:36people out here than you realize so we've got to reach out to them and engage them and work with them
03:43and get to the polls i really believe uh the ingredients are there for us to win
03:50in the special elections but we cannot do it without really working it
03:59someone asked me i did the head start the head start meeting over in greenville i did their luncheon today
04:07uh and um i met with the community action agency directors uh spent about an hour and a half with
04:17them afterwards and i said to them i said now uh they had a real good invocation at their luncheon
04:25and that people were amening and everything else and so i told them at this meeting i said you know i enjoyed
04:35that invocation uh but you know
04:41they're sitting in the second chapter of the book of james there's a little thing that we have to keep in
04:47mind faith without works is dead
05:01so keep the faith
05:06or work your butt off
