00:00Commissionership. Question?
00:14Oh, let me just say that
00:16the planning for the
00:18trip to Rome
00:20for His Holiness'
00:22funeral is something that will be
00:24put forth by
00:26the leadership in Washington
00:28from a security standpoint and the rest
00:30of that. We're not really allowed to talk
00:32about that, but
00:34the
00:36there's a plan.
00:38Of course, as a devout Catholic
00:40I've been taught
00:42and I believe and my family
00:44believes that I grew up in
00:46that the Holy Ghost has an
00:48impact on the decision making
00:50of the Cardinals.
00:52There are 136
00:54Cardinals.
00:56108 of them
00:58were named by
01:00Francis. So hopefully
01:02there will be people who
01:04respect the values that
01:06Francis has proposed.
01:08But
01:10Francis was
01:12chosen by Cardinals who
01:14were selected by Benedict
01:16and John Paul. So you
01:18just don't know how it will
01:20turn out. But we'll be
01:22prayerful that the inspiration of
01:24the Holy Spirit will dominate
01:26the decision making
01:28and that will happen
01:30sometime after the burial
01:32then they'll go into that.
01:34So anyone who's seen
01:36Conclave or Two Popes or any of that
01:38we feel like we're experts in all of it now.
01:42But
01:44obviously it's something
01:46we'll all be studying because
01:48I had the privilege
01:50of meeting with this Holy
01:52on a number of occasions including
01:54the first day when he was
01:56inaugurated.
01:58That's what I think they call it.
02:00Inaugurated Pope
02:02around the feast of St. Joseph.
02:04And
02:06as you know he has
02:08the Holy Family is very important
02:10to him and that's why he wants to be
02:12buried in the church of St.
02:14Mary Maggiore, Maria Maggiore
02:16in Rome.
02:18And he went there before
02:20every trip. He went there for
02:22the blessing. After every trip
02:24he went there again.
02:26So that's what his plans
02:28are, what he wrote out that he wants
02:30to do. So it's a
02:32beautiful story.
02:34I'll just close by saying
02:36every time I saw him
02:38whether it was in a meeting just
02:40in his office or whatever
02:42he would always say pray for me.
02:44Pray for me.
02:46He had such humility.
02:48And he knew being Pope was a big
02:50major thing. Pray for me.
02:52And I'm like you pray for us.
02:54You got a channel there.
02:56Pray for me.
02:58But now that this saintly man
03:00has gone to heaven we pray
03:02we pray to him.
03:04One last thing is
03:06when I went to see him I had
03:08the privilege of this was
03:10you know I've seen him with my grandchildren.
03:12I've seen him with this. I've seen him in
03:14Capitol. You know different place.
03:16But when I had the actual meeting
03:18as a speaker of the house to go there
03:20and this or that it was
03:22something very serious
03:24and they told me as I was going in
03:26and now you will be obeying rules
03:28that are 400 years old.
03:30So you have to do exactly as we say
03:34as you go to see his holiness.
03:36And so you will go to the door.
03:38He will open the door.
03:40And you will then proceed.
03:42So I go to the door.
03:44He opens the door.
03:46And I birthed into tears
03:48all down my face just seeing him.
03:50Just seeing him.
03:52It was just so overwhelming.
03:54His reaction.
03:56I would burst into tears.
03:58He burst into laughter.
04:00He just laughed.
04:02He said why are you crying?
04:04I said why are you laughing?
04:06They're laughing at me crying.
04:08But it was quite this person
04:10this quite overwhelming
04:12just to be in his presence.
04:14So may he rest in peace.
04:16Thank you all so much.
04:20And thank you to our guests.
