South Eastern Trust's Unsung Heroes
Transcript
00:00Hi Matthew.
00:06Admin or LaGlula sticks everything together.
00:09Admin have played a part in every single step of a service user's journey,
00:14which can be a terrifying experience for some people.
00:17We have numerous clinics running throughout the day in different centres.
00:21We cover three centres within the Southeastern Trust,
00:25keeping on top of phone calls, getting all of our appointments sorted,
00:29and keeping on top of everything.
00:31Basically, making sure that whenever the clinics are taking place,
00:35that the clinicians who are doing the clinic have everything they need
00:39to complete their assessments and to make everything go as smoothly as possible.
00:45So everything comes through the admin.
00:47So I think it's good for the service users as well that they have that one point of contact.
00:52If there's no admin, there's no clinics, everything about the job is wide and varied,
00:58and speaking to parents every day, dealing with the clinicians.
01:01I mean, I feel sometimes it's more than just a secretarial job
01:04because you're doing a lot of the clinical rotation.
01:07It's a really good job in the sense of you know you're making a difference.
01:11You can feel proud of yourself, you know, that you're making a difference to people.
01:16A few doctors in the past have said, you know, without Admin, the Trust wouldn't run.
01:20Thank you for this.
01:21Thank you for joining us today.
