00:00I've been here so long that I truly thought it would never end.
00:03Bunny!
00:04So this has not only been really difficult for me to write,
00:07but also a really difficult decision to make.
00:09Leicester City has been my second home, my extended family,
00:12my life for 13 years.
00:14The club, the city, the people mean so much to me and my family.
00:18It's a place that's shaped the lives of our kids
00:20who've been so lucky to call Leicester home for so long.
00:22But for me, the time has come to say goodbye.
00:25Nine years ago, we did the impossible.
00:26We won the Premier League.
00:27Champions, 2060.
00:29Leicester City!
00:30We then went on to win the FA Cup.
00:32That was for you, Vishay.
00:33We reached the Champions League quarterfinals
00:34and before all that, we pulled off the greatest game.
00:37Those good memories will last a lifetime.
00:39The list of people to thank is long,
00:41starting with Kun Vishay, Kun Top and Nigel Pearson
00:44for giving me, a 25-year-old non-league striker,
00:47the opportunity to not just become a professional footballer,
00:50but to play for this great club.
00:52You believed in me and I hope I repaid your faith.
00:54A big thank you also to Susan Whelan for her constant support
00:57and, of course, my wife Becky and the children
00:59for being my rock each and every day.
01:01Thanks also to all the other managers, coaches and staff
01:04who have helped me and, in some cases, put up with me.
01:07To my teammates, it's been an absolute privilege
01:09to play alongside you, in particular,
01:11a band of brothers from 2016.
01:13As for the fans, you took me to your hearts,
01:16you stuck with me through the difficult times at the beginning
01:18and you inspired me to be the best that I could be.
01:20I've always felt your support and I can't begin to tell you
01:22how good that made me feel on the pitch.
01:24I will always be one of you.
01:26My only regret, and I'm devastated about this,
01:28is that I'm not saying farewell to you
01:30on the back of a much better season.
01:31This isn't the way I wanted my career here to finish.
01:34Finally, this isn't retirement.
01:36I want to keep playing and doing what I enjoy most,
01:38scoring goals.
01:39Hopefully there's one or two more for Leicester
01:41between now and the end of the season
01:42and many more in the future.
01:44I might be 38, but I've still got the desire and ambition
01:46to achieve so much more.
01:47Thank you forever.
01:49Thoughts.
