00:20as eight teams compete in Leg 1 of the 2025 Asian Tournament

00:24on the third day of hardcore action last Wednesday.

00:28This spotlight was on the match-up between the undefeated teams, Aces, and Kalmodo Islanders.

00:34After 40 minutes of play, the Aces emerged victorious with a commanding 103-84 win,

00:40led by Xavier Alexander's impressive triple-double performance,

00:44posting 12 points, 18 rebounds, 12 assists, adding 8 steals.

00:49In an interview with PTV Sports, Alexander expressed his joy over securing the team's third consecutive win

00:56which guarantees their spot in the semi-finals.

00:59However, he emphasized that this victory is not a reason for the Aces to become complacent.

01:04We feel good, you know, we feel like we can win any game as long as we stay together and play as a team.

01:11I also feel good here in Iloilo because I've never lost a game here.

01:16So, big 14-0 now.

01:18So, we try to just keep it going, keep the team goals in mind and have some fun with it, man.

01:24Like I said, we're confident, but, you know, we're not satisfied with just making the semi-finals

01:29or just playing one game or playing two games.

01:31You know, we want championships, so that's what we're going for.

01:33In the final showdown, the Grampy Joe Passive Titans failed to defend their home court

01:38after a strong comeback by the Macau Black Bears who secured an 89-75 victory.

01:44The Titans were leading by 9 points at halftime,

01:47but the Black Bears gradually erased the deficit and managed to tie the game, heading into the fourth quarter.

01:53In the last five minutes of the game, the momentum shifted completely in favor of the Black Bears

01:58who pulled away from the Titans with a hot streak outside shooting led by Jenning Liu, who drained six three-pointers.

02:05Liu finished the game with an impressive 25 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals.

02:12It was a fun game, but also I thought it was a little bit of a stupid game.

02:15Like, when it doesn't become real basketball and we're doing keep shots, it's not fun to play in.

02:19It's like, we don't play to get hurt, but it was a good win for us.

02:23We battled, I mean, we were down by a lot to start, and then we stayed together and won.
