00:30As a high school student, I'm often thinking about the future, about exams, careers, travels,
00:45dreams.
00:46Instead of me today, I'm thinking about the past, more specifically about the young men
00:51and women, many just like me, who never got the chance to think about their futures the
00:55way I can, because they chose, so they volunteered to protect something much bigger than themselves.
01:03One hundred and ten years ago, lives became intertwined and lives were lost on the shores
01:09of Polyphary.
01:10Yet from this struggle and dark period, something very powerful emerged.
01:16The Anzac spirit, a spirit that embodies courage, loyalty, mateship, and acknowledges that we
01:23are more powerful as a team, and it has always, and will always, be that way.
01:28...to the battle.
01:30They were young, straight of limbs, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
01:34They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted, they fell with their faces to the foe.
01:41They shall grow not old as we that left grow old.
01:45Age shall not worry them, nor the years condemn.
01:49At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them, lest we forget.
