00:00Oh, this is easy.
00:01Ka-ching!
00:02And then we have, aww!
00:04Rawr!
00:04Woo-hoo!
00:09Hey!
00:10Okay, the first one, oh, this is easy.
00:13I just wanna be part of your symphony.
00:15Will you hold me tight and not let go?
00:19Symphony!
00:21It was a good one because the title was in the card.
00:24I just wanna be part of your symphony!
00:29This is one of my absolute favorite songs with Clean Bandit.
00:33It's so amazing how it's gotten this like second life.
00:41My friends started sending me these videos and I was like,
00:44why do they have so many likes and engagement?
00:47And they had around like five to 10,000 in the beginning.
00:50And then it was everywhere.
00:53But the song is a good like seven years or something.
00:57I've always been here, obviously.
00:59Like in my world, I always exist.
01:01But for a lot of people, they're like, oh my gosh, that song.
01:06Like Zara Larsson, like, hey.
01:08It was also perfect timing because I am working on new music and like new stuff that makes me so excited for people to hear.
01:16So it was amazing timing that I got back into people's like consciousness.
01:20And then we have, I'mma dance my heart out till the dawn, but I won't be done when morning comes.
01:27Doing it all night, all summer.
01:30It's Lush Life!
01:31I'mma dance my heart out till the dawn, but I won't be done when morning comes.
01:37When Lush Life became really big and I was so young, I don't think anyone that knew me was surprised because I have always, always, always had this dream.
01:48And I've been very vocal about my dream.
01:50Like, I want to be an artist.
01:51Like, I want to perform whenever that success happened to me very young, I was not even really like excited for it because I was expecting it so much.
02:03But now when I'm 27, I feel like I have a lot more balance and like I can really enjoy and I try to be present.
02:12I used to be really shy when I would hear my songs in the club, but now I'm like, hey, turn it up.
02:20Obviously, there's nothing to be embarrassed about because all the collabs that I've done, I'm super proud of and I really like my songs.
02:28And I will never want much more.
02:31And in my heart, I will always be sure I will never forget you.
02:36Ka-ching!
02:42I feel like it was the first big song for me here in the U.S.
02:48And I did it with now my longtime collaborator, but when we wrote the song, me and MNEK, this was my first ever session that I ever had.
02:57I remember leaving the session thinking, writing songs is so easy and like, what?
03:06Like, is this an amazing song or am I just excited to have written a song?
03:09And then I found out that it's just so easy to do with MNEK because he's so talented.
03:15But the song is still one of my favorites and it's my firstborn, like my favorite child who like went to Harvard.
03:25Miss me with that, what's your name, your sign right now.
03:29Ain't my fault.
03:32I'm in such a serious.
03:34But it's for the girls.
03:35The signs are for the girls.
03:36If a guy would ask me, what's my sign, I'll be like, huh?
03:42It's very sassy.
03:43And we like de-sassed it.
03:44Because when me and MNEK, we wrote the song together, it was so rude.
03:50It was about like me stealing someone's man.
03:52And I just didn't feel like that resonated with me.
03:55It was like, it ain't my fault your man's calling my phone.
03:58It ain't my fault you can't keep him at home.
04:00It ain't my fault I give him what you don't.
04:01No, it ain't my fault your man's calling my phone.
04:03I was like, I can't say this because he brings out a very sassy side of me or he's very sassy himself.
04:09But I was just like, no, we got to step it back.
04:12So it still has the essence of sassiness, but it's not as like, whoa.
04:20Make your jaw drop.
04:21Make you say, oh my gosh.
04:23And you never felt this type of emotion.
04:26Wow.
04:33I love Sabrina and I've loved her for a long time.
04:36Before her espresso and before the Taylor Swift tour.
04:40We go way back.
04:42The song was in a movie that she was playing in.
04:46She was dancing to the song and I was like, oh, this is so cute.
04:50And then I was just like, do you want to jump on the remix?
04:52And she was like, yeah.
04:54So it was that easy.
04:56I miss you pushing me close to the edge.
04:59Ruin my life.
05:05I love this song.
05:06I got it sent to me through my A&R.
05:09It really resonated with it at the moment.
05:10And it was about like missing a bad relationship, basically.
05:16I know some people were maybe not upset with me, but they were like, why would you sing this?
05:20This is like toxic and you shouldn't promote this.
05:22But I think it's just life, isn't it?
05:24I think we've all been in like bad relationships.
05:26Like wanting to be with someone who isn't the best person for you, but you still miss it.
05:33Ooh.
05:37I don't want to mention commitment, but I feel it slipping.
05:41So please don't let me down.
05:42This is my collaboration with Alessio and it's words.
05:54This is me.
05:55I can't do casual.
05:57If I'm seeing someone and I feel like it's real, I want us to like communicate.
06:06And it's fine.
06:06We don't have to say I love you on the first date because that's weird.
06:10But I don't want to like play games, like pretend that it's like, oh, I don't care.
06:16Like, oh, this is so casual, like whatever.
06:19I'm very much like a one at a time.
06:22And if I like you and you like me, like, let's go for it.
06:25And if I don't feel it, then I'll say, thank you so much.
06:28And then I like have the next one person.
06:32It's so stressful how you guys date here in America.
06:35I know a lot of friends and they're like seeing five people at the same time.
06:38And I'm like, they tell me to be nice.
06:41I should know my place.
06:42Sometimes a girl don't want to be well behaved.
06:44I've been working on new music and my album throughout the year.
06:56I didn't want to wait too long to release new music because it took me four years from
07:01So Good to Poster Girl.
07:02And then a couple of years between Venus.
07:05But now I've been working so hard and I feel so satisfied with the music that's coming out.
07:10So it's like, why wait?
07:12It's ready.
07:13And it wants to enter the world.
07:15Pretty Ugly is one of the first songs that we ever did.
07:18And I don't even know how it happened or why, but it just appeared in front of us.
07:24And I feel like it was like that with every song that we wrote.
07:27It's also the first time where I'm like not working with the straight men.
07:32It's like for the girls and the gays.
07:34I'm so excited for this whole project.
07:37I really am.
07:38But this one was a good first song.
07:43You're so in love with him is tragic.
07:46Love who you love.
07:48That's right.
07:51I wrote this song to my friend.
07:55She's still seeing this guy.
07:57And they're getting married, which is, yeah.
08:01Anyways.
08:02I don't want my friends to get hurt.
08:04And I want them to be taken care of spiritually, emotionally, physically.
08:09And I will always be there for my friends.
08:11So for me, this was just like, oh my God, get up.
08:15Like, you're gorgeous.
08:16You're beautiful.
08:17You're generous.
08:17You're sweet.
08:18You're talented.
08:19You're motivated.
08:20You're hard work.
08:21Like, you can get whoever in the world.
08:26And you're with this man.
08:29And then we have, aww.
08:30Nobody sees.
08:32Nobody knows.
08:32We are a secret.
08:33Can't be exposed.
08:34This is my first song that I ever released.
08:43And I had just turned 15.
08:45This reminds me of going from school to the studio in my Uggs and my Abercrombie shirt.
08:52And just like, I was just like a teenager.
08:56But back then, I would never tell anyone I went to the studio.
09:00I would just be like, oh, I'm going home to study.
09:02Never did that.
09:03I don't know why.
09:04Maybe because of like, well, if something happens, you will know anyways.
09:08I'm super thankful for this song.
09:10I still think it's one of the most beautiful songs that I have.
09:14I love to dance.
09:15And I love to, like, bring a performance.
09:18But this first song, we actually took out all the drums.
09:21And we made it into a ballad.
09:23Releasing a ballad was like, this is the song.
09:27And I really, really believed in it.
09:29And my label, 10, at the time were very supportive of me.
09:33So we dropped it.
09:35And it did so well in Europe.
09:37Especially Scandinavia and, like, Sweden.
09:39People just welcomed me with open arms.
