00:00:00This was the largest nightclub beer joint speakeasy called the Western Connection,
00:00:20but many of the locals called it the Western Infection, and a few lucky people called it
00:00:26the Western Erection, and Mom just almost died when I suggested that we buy this devil's
00:00:33project and convert it to the Lord's work.
00:00:36Well, this is where the Queen Bee sat.
00:00:40Oh, God, I miss her so much.
00:00:42We were such a dynamite team.
00:00:45I'm a good mama's boy.
00:00:46I've always been a good mama's boy when I keeked into the oven.
00:00:51Came and got the removal van, and I embalmed my own mother.
00:00:55I didn't want anybody else to do it.
00:00:57This is where we prepare the bodies for burial.
00:01:00I am a freaking unbelievable embalmer.
00:01:04And you insert this into the body.
00:01:08Well, this is my office wall in the funeral home.
00:01:13Holland Funeral Director, Steve Holland.
00:01:15Yes, where do you want the service?
00:01:17We can have it here at a church.
00:01:18We can have it at a bar, a whorehouse.
00:01:21It really don't matter where you want to have it.
00:01:22Just make sure your undertaker's invited.
00:01:27I put the fun in funerals.
00:01:29That was the Tennessee Waltz.
00:01:31I'm claustrophobic, so that's the first reason I've never liked caskets.
00:01:36And beyond that, they go in the ground.
00:01:41Try disinterring one of these that's been in there 10 years.
00:01:46And you'll change your mind about spending $3,000 for one then.
00:01:51Oh, we've got a body?
00:01:53Three.
00:01:54Three?
00:01:56Yeah, we better get out of here.
00:01:58Oh, don't open that up.
00:02:01Oh, it's Gladys.
00:02:03I know she had the diabetes.
00:02:04When I was a child, I had a book, Connect the Dots, and this was my only game that I had.
00:02:28I was the master of connecting the dots.
00:02:35Connect the dots.
00:02:37And it was my groundbreaking research and my House Bill resolution that I tried to push through Congress that led me to Steve Collins.
00:02:47When I read Kevin's House Bill, first thing that I thought, another fool lives in my district.
00:02:57He's just frickin' totally insane.
00:03:01I mean, he's in outer space.
00:03:04My House Bill resolution.
00:03:08He never even looked at it.
00:03:10He never even acknowledged he received it.
00:03:13This man refuses to acknowledge my existence.
00:03:17Mr. Speaker, ladies and gentlemen of the House, House Bill 6331 is breathtakingly stupid.
00:03:24This bill is garbage.
00:03:25It's trash.
00:03:27I wrote letters.
00:03:28I faxed.
00:03:29I emailed.
00:03:30I sent smoke signals in an Indian fire.
00:03:32But it is safe to say, if Mr. Curtis's brain were for sale, it would be worthless.
00:03:41He will not call me back.
00:03:43He will not email me.
00:03:45I'm just wondering why.
00:03:47Why?
00:03:48I'll tell you why.
00:03:51I've established the first program ever for organ donation in the state of Mississippi.
00:04:01It's just one of the greatest things I did.
00:04:041988, I created body donations, organ donations, transplants in the state.
00:04:11Oh, my God, it saved so many people's lives.
00:04:14It's unbelievable.
00:04:16Be an organ donor.
00:04:18Life is great.
00:04:19Pass it on.
00:04:20It's time someone stood up for all our kids.
00:04:24So why would the author of an outstanding program introduce a bill to kill it?
00:04:31Don't make sense.
00:04:33Like he don't make sense.
00:04:35Now it's all making sense.
00:04:41Think about it.
00:04:43Steve Holland.
00:04:44Steve Holland.
00:04:45State representative.
00:04:46Funeral home director.
00:04:49Organ harvesting.
00:04:51Bodies.
00:04:52Ding, ding.
00:04:54Light bulb moment.
00:04:56Kevin started these conspiracy theories that the medical center and myself have been selling body cards.
00:05:04And I just almost choke on my own laughter of such silliness, you know?
00:05:11But no, Holland don't sell body parts.
00:05:14Holland's never sold a body part.
00:05:17I think Steve Holland fears what I know.
00:05:24And he's afraid I can bury him.
00:05:28I'm not scared of anything for anybody.
00:05:32I mean, when I see a beast, it needs to be slayed.
00:05:37It needs to be at least dissected.
00:05:43Ha, ha, ha, ha.
00:05:562003.
00:05:58A mysterious cabal of Washington DC elites hire Casey to perform at an exclusive wedding party.
00:06:06He dons the armor of the king once more.
00:06:11Oh, yeah.
00:06:39my wife and i sponsored an engagement party for a young couple that we had known for a long time
00:06:46and we thought an elvis impersonator would be good entertainment i remember driving down a long dirt
00:06:54road and entering beautiful gated community three-story mansion and all the politicians
00:07:03are there and um that's when we met kevin curtis he did the old uh pelvis steps
00:07:17and sang a bunch of elvis songs the ladies loved it
00:07:25after the show the senator walked up to me and with a twinkle in his eye says hey elvis
00:07:34got some websites out there that's pretty uh disturbing you know i'm kind of surprised i
00:07:42hadn't found you floating at the bottom of the mississippi river with cement boots on be careful
00:07:49but then i realized sometime later that this was going to be a bigger deal than i thought
00:07:56i can read between the lines okay and wicker just let me know i know about your campaign fighting for
00:08:07justice and and that gave me so much hope this is my once in a lifetime opportunity to finally get my
00:08:16house bill resolution passed so i overnighted that puppy to wicker
00:08:25you haven't had this body part scandal in this house bill what do you remember
00:08:29well now that you mention that i was aware of that but uh not until afterwards yeah and was this a little
00:08:37unusual i'll let you make a judgment there
00:08:41judge was there when i never heard back from wicker i'd reached out to a local politician
00:08:49j everett dusky he was connected to roger wicker mike huckabee and multiple politicians
00:08:59i'm advocating a return to common sense i'm j everett dusky and i approve this message dutch
00:09:06keep published his own political newspaper
00:09:09and when i started pouring out about the organ harvesting his eyes got kind of wild looking
00:09:19but at this point i have no idea he works for my brother no clue that he had that he even knows my
00:09:26brother dutchki had promised kevin he would publish kevin's story and for whatever reason dutchki
00:09:39reneged on the promise after months of emails wicker finally replied dude not by email i'm talking
00:09:50about hard copy letter in the first line wicker said i think you did a great job it's very impressive
00:09:59holy man it was an amazing feeling and then when i got to the end the last line read
00:10:08unfortunately i am not the person to sponsor the legislation however state representative steve holland
00:10:16is you got to be kidding me is this a joke there's something not right in this
00:10:27and then late one night the phone rings a mysterious voice says mr curtis
00:10:39it's gonna be a shame if something happens to one of them children years because you can't shut your
00:10:44fucking mouth about body parts
00:10:57every step is moving it's moving me up
00:11:03most of america wouldn't understand the way things go deep in the south
00:11:08every step is moving me up this place is cursed
00:11:18poverty it's everywhere in the mississippi it's all around you
00:11:23there's no escape
00:11:31so we need heroes
00:11:36every step is moving my dad likes being the hero of stories
00:11:46because then he wouldn't have to be kevin curtis
00:11:49which i don't think he liked very much
00:12:00the truth is he was the villain of his own damn movie
00:12:03movie of his own hero film
00:12:14so can you tell me what your dad was like growing up
00:12:16my dad made me hate two things growing up alcohol and computers once the internet
00:12:27existed he just closed himself off into this room on the computer from the time he woke up from the
00:12:33time he went to bed my earliest memory is kevin just sleep the whole day stay up all night long on the
00:12:42computer and it's like he stepped into a portal to hell filled with secret conspiracies
00:12:52if it was anything with a conspiracy involved he was the guy on it
00:12:57first there was body parts and then chemtrails there was 9 11 that was the next conspiracy that
00:13:03we heard about in our home all day every day it was just conspiracy after conspiracy and we lost
00:13:09the ability to connect with our with our dad he was there he was physically there but mentally man
00:13:17no he was uh he was somewhere else where were you
00:13:28i felt like a lot of this stuff he just could not deal with i mean look he lost his job his marriage
00:13:35went downhill his relationship with his family entire family not only his kids went downhill
00:13:41honestly i saw a man who was tortured mentally and um i i just always felt bad for him felt really bad
00:13:57act two scene two despite the deadly ultimatum threatening the lives of those he loves most
00:14:04casey charges forward wielding his sword of justice deeper into the shadowy depths of tupelo's body parts
00:14:11empire as he expected the empire would strike back
00:14:20right after my children were threatened weird things started happening in the night
00:14:26strangers that i'd never noticed before
00:14:28there were victims coming down to a corner blake
00:14:38and then there was multiple black people who wereouncer's fighting behind and their hospital
00:14:41they were there were there and they both were desperate and they were there for me
00:14:43but then there were some people who were there that he ever cared for me and they were there
00:14:45and they all came out of the night out of the night they were there and they told me that i did
00:14:48it's always bigger than what you or I would think it should be.
00:14:53Here is Kent, fourth time tonight in three hours.
00:14:57Out of nowhere, my brake lights knocked out,
00:15:00flat tires mysteriously in the night.
00:15:03My car getting keyed, my lights getting busted out,
00:15:06my tire getting slashed.
00:15:08A week later, there's bullets in the mailbox.
00:15:11There's just, there's an underlying threat.
00:15:15Kevin did not have a big grip on reality.
00:15:21Listen, I don't want to call him a pathological liar,
00:15:26but he takes a true story that's wild and crazy
00:15:30and he adds to it.
00:15:33What, what is that?
00:15:36What the fuck?
00:15:39Dark cell behind my house.
00:15:42I will find out who is harassing me.
00:15:45One day, Laura gets in the car with all my kids.
00:15:48She turns the key.
00:15:49Run, run, run, run, run, run, run.
00:15:51Boom!
00:15:52Something blows up under the hood.
00:15:53The hood buckles up and flies backwards.
00:15:55Everything in the car burns.
00:15:57And I'm supposed to buy faulty battery, I'm sure, by the police.
00:16:02My neighbor called and said, your house is burning down.
00:16:09And I'm like, what?
00:16:14Unfortunately, the house didn't burn down.
00:16:17The reason for the house burning down was what?
00:16:20Chicken.
00:16:21Chicken being left on the stove.
00:16:23I'm sorry.
00:16:24I'm sorry.
00:16:25I'm sorry.
00:16:26You know, y'all.
00:16:27That's true.
00:16:28For the car?
00:16:29The car, I don't know.
00:16:30I mean, there was no chicken on the car.
00:16:32I mean, I'm sorry.
00:16:33You gotta understand something.
00:16:34Mississippi is the most crooked place you'll ever be in your life.
00:16:38These high-up officials, there's a lot of stuff that they don't want to know.
00:16:59So cops and lawyers and judges, they all hate Kevin because of what Kevin knows.
00:17:06This shadowy organization clearly didn't understand.
00:17:11If you beat me down, I'd just get stronger.
00:17:14And I'd go at you harder.
00:17:17I became obsessed with exposing mass corruption in Tupelo.
00:17:23And the connections with illegal black market organ harvesting.
00:17:28I did street team activism.
00:17:31Walking down the streets, knocking on doors.
00:17:33Hello.
00:17:34Do you know anything about corruption in Mississippi?
00:17:36I'm doing everything in my power to get the word out there about this conspiracy just going
00:17:41on.
00:17:42I had an assistant district attorney.
00:17:44He grabbed a 9mm Beretta and he put it to my head with a smile on his face.
00:17:49And he put his left hand up like this.
00:17:51And he had every intention to blow my head off.
00:17:54And right at that moment...
00:17:55Kevin flashes out at anybody that crosses him.
00:17:59He was on social media saying, drunk gunslinging DA threatening me with a gun and this and that
00:18:06and the other, you know.
00:18:07And it wasn't like that at all.
00:18:09You're asking me is there anyone out there with something against me?
00:18:14The assistant DA in Tupelo pulled a gun on me while talking about body parts.
00:18:19And by this time, he's talking about the good old boy network in Tupelo.
00:18:24And the conspiracy going on at the hospital.
00:18:28And these people blew up his car and burned down his house.
00:18:33And he's intimating that I had something to do with it.
00:18:38I know there's a good old boy system in Tupelo.
00:18:41I can follow, threaten, harass strangers to come into my home.
00:18:47And I told Jack, look, if y'all will get him some help.
00:18:51If you'll get him on some medication or something, you know, I won't charge him with a saw.
00:18:57Jack says, family talked and we're not going to do that.
00:19:02I said, well, okay.
00:19:05The only thing wrong with Kevin is he's an activist.
00:19:12And they don't like that.
00:19:15If you dare speak out, they'll take you down.
00:19:27During this time, I would drive home from work.
00:19:31And it got to where I'd leave my car running.
00:19:34And if Kevin wasn't acting very stable, I would grab the kids and leave.
00:19:40So every night, I spent many hours at McDonald's.
00:19:46I didn't have a lot of money, but I could buy a cup of coffee and buy the kids French fries.
00:19:52And I talked to strangers because I was so lonely.
00:19:59I felt sorry for Laura.
00:20:03I mean, I've cried over what her kids were going through.
00:20:08Living in the situation that they're in, I just was sad.
00:20:15So I gave her a job as my secretary.
00:20:19And she did good at the job.
00:20:21Hey, Jack.
00:20:23Jack was just a kind individual.
00:20:26And he was the only person in the world that knew what I was going through because he was dealing with it too.
00:20:33She would call me and lean on me for support.
00:20:38Laura would say, you're a family man.
00:20:42You're a good husband.
00:20:43You're a good father.
00:20:44You run a good business.
00:20:46I just respect you.
00:20:49The kids not, I don't know what we would have done if it hadn't been for Jack.
00:20:55He supported us for years.
00:20:58He was my rock and my hero.
00:21:02My therapist says I did.
00:21:11Do you have any feelings for my brother Jack, Laura?
00:21:16No.
00:21:17Have you done anything to make me feel insecure and to build uncertainty between me and my brother?
00:21:23No.
00:21:26And I said, you love him, don't you?
00:21:29And she's like, I can depend on him for anything.
00:21:34Do you or do you not want to divorce Laura?
00:21:41She just simply said, I can't handle it anymore, Kevin.
00:21:45Being married to you is scary.
00:21:50And for $500, the marriage was over forever.
00:21:59Act 2, scene 6.
00:22:04In KC's darkest hour, he is cast aside by his wife and family.
00:22:10Meanwhile, his brother Jack looms large, poised to claim the throne of Tupelo as his own.
00:22:18Please put your hands together for the one, the only, Jack Curtis.
00:22:27And Jack's like, Kevin, it's just business.
00:22:28You understand.
00:22:29I just thought, wow, the show went on, but without me.
00:22:32With Jack, it was just so much fun.
00:22:33Everything he touches turns to gold.
00:22:34Jack took my band, took my wife, stole all of my gigs, and everyone loves him.
00:22:39Jack has just become a hero to Tupelo.
00:22:47I just get all worked up when there's this massive sweat rolling out there
00:22:49with this amazing spit from Johnny in KC's.
00:22:50Nice, and yeah.
00:22:51Now it's big.
00:22:52And I'm big for myself.
00:22:53And I think the goddamn consigo to see him.
00:22:55I just had this from터
00:23:14He's sweat rolling out of the black hair, and women are throwing him panties, and he's wiping his brow with him.
00:23:25He clogs the Tupelo completely.
00:23:29A special visit today from Tupelo's own Elvis, Jack Curtis.
00:23:36I tell you, it's good to be home, baby.
00:23:37It's been a long time since I've been back in Tupelo.
00:23:40I mean, that was what Jack was known for.
00:23:42Jack Curtis, Elvis Presley. Jack Curtis, Elvis Presley.
00:23:46He's also president of Elvis Presley Fan Club, which is a pretty big deal around here.
00:23:52We called him our Elvis, the fan club does. He's our Elvis.
00:23:57You know, Kevin started getting less bookings, and his brother started getting a lot of bookings.
00:24:02And I know Kevin was upset about all that.
00:24:06And just, they traveled all over, you know? And, yeah, that was uncomfortable.
00:24:12They went to Las Vegas, Puerto Rico, Jamaica.
00:24:20It was odd.
00:24:21When I stepped off that plane onto Jamaica's land, it hit me.
00:24:27I lost who I was, and I want me back.
00:24:36Jack and I sang on a big stage on Valentine's Day.
00:24:40I dressed like Marilyn Monroe, and I got to dance with Jack.
00:24:44Kevin would just, he would harass us the whole time.
00:24:53He called Jack every second.
00:24:54Where are you?
00:24:55What are you doing?
00:24:56Where's Laurie?
00:24:57Get her on the phone.
00:24:58I'm like, I don't want to talk to him.
00:25:01I didn't care anymore at this point.
00:25:03I just wanted to drink and party my heart out.
00:25:10Here we go!
00:25:11I was drunk.
00:25:13The day my mama got out of prison.
00:25:16Let me, let me!
00:25:18Cheers!
00:25:19So we partied at 5 in the morning, and then we get taken back in the Cheetah limousine.
00:25:24Just, I'm having the time of my life.
00:25:30Meanwhile, I'm back in fucking shithole Mississippi.
00:25:35You know, just being Mr. Mom.
00:25:38I change diapers, vacuum the floor, wash the dishes, load the dishwasher, make the bed, mow the lawn, re-roof the roof.
00:25:51And then I got a phone call from a hotel.
00:25:53You and your wife, you're Jack, right?
00:25:57You're the husband, you're Laura's husband.
00:25:59I go, no, my brother is Jack.
00:26:02I guess he's paying for the hotel.
00:26:04Well, I think your wife left her shoe in your brother's room or something, but we've got one of her shoes.
00:26:10She left like, I'm like, okay, this is not registering.
00:26:15And they're like, okay, well, we have Jack and Laura in the same hotel room.
00:26:18And I'm like, what?
00:26:20So, what was your place, Jack and Jack?
00:26:23Hmm, let's see.
00:26:24Um, we were, it was, hmm.
00:26:28Let's see.
00:26:29This was, um, how do I put this?
00:26:33Okay.
00:26:34Oh, we were close.
00:26:36I'll put that.
00:26:37We were close.
00:26:38Too close?
00:26:38Yes, yes.
00:26:40Maybe we crossed a line or two.
00:26:41Maybe, yes.
00:26:43Yes.
00:26:45I drove as fast as I could to Jack's church.
00:26:48I jumped over a six-foot bush, flat-footed, and I grabbed my brother by the throat, choking him in front of 50 people.
00:26:56I said, are you fucking my wife?
00:26:59Yes or no?
00:27:01If you're having an affair with Laura, I will kill you.
00:27:05Dead as fuck.
00:27:07And I meant it.
00:27:08When things couldn't possibly get any worse for KC, suddenly a loud bang, bang, bang thunders at his door.
00:27:22Outside is Tupelo's finest boys in blue, ready to haul KC's ass off to prison.
00:27:30More than 12 months after David Daniels pulled a gun on me, I was arrested while sitting home eating spaghetti at my house with no shirt on.
00:27:42David Daniels said Kevin attacked him with a beer bottle, but he had no proofs, no nothing.
00:27:52I called a dozen attorneys, and every single one of them said, I'm sorry, I have a conflict to interest.
00:28:00I know David Daniels, personally, I'm not going to be able to represent you.
00:28:06But here's the kicker.
00:28:08When I arrived for the first day of trial, guess who's my judge?
00:28:14Sadie Holland.
00:28:16Sadie fucking Holland.
00:28:19Co-owner of the three largest funeral homes with her son, Steve Holland.
00:28:26You can't make this shit up.
00:28:30Court starts, and Judge Holland forces me to stand trial and be my own legal representation.
00:28:40I testified that in Mississippi, everyone has a right of self-defense.
00:28:47And that Kevin came at me with the beer bottle.
00:28:50I said, this is bullshit.
00:28:54And they kept forcing me to sit down and shut up.
00:28:57I've never seen a grown man throw an angry, screaming fit like that.
00:29:03I was making a mockery right in front of their faces of the insanity of a fake kangaroo court hearing.
00:29:10And she says, if you say one more word, you're going to be in contempt of court, Mr. Curtis.
00:29:15Do you understand?
00:29:16Sit down.
00:29:16I said, overruled.
00:29:18Oh, ouch.
00:29:20That hurt.
00:29:20And then Judge Holland looked directly at me and sentenced me to six months at Parchman Prison.
00:29:28The whole thing turns into a bailay, and his family storms the bench where Judge Holland is sitting.
00:29:36And they had to get extra deputies to take Kevin into custody.
00:29:40I walked right up there in front of that court, and I looked David Daniels dead in the face.
00:29:49And I said, look here, buddy.
00:29:51I promise you, to my dying day, I'll work against you.
00:29:58And I will get you.
00:30:04I'm sitting in a prison cell.
00:30:07When I had this sudden moment of clarity.
00:30:09This is a conspiracy.
00:30:12This is a 100% conspiracy to shut Kevin Curtis up.
00:30:17It was orchestrated by the Tupelo Hospital and their connections with black market organ harvesting.
00:30:26It linked into funeral home owners, funeral home directors, law enforcement, sheriff's department, judges, the assistant DA, politicians, congressmen, senators, state representatives,
00:30:38you name it, they were all involved.
00:30:40The hospital has a monopoly on everyone and everything, and they know the sheriff.
00:30:48The sheriff, he's doing ads with the hospital.
00:30:51It reminds me of the simple things in life.
00:30:53Now, his friend David Daniels used to perform at the Western Connection.
00:30:58So that's when he first met Steve.
00:31:01Steve, what a coincidence.
00:31:04And guess who Steve's best friend is?
00:31:09Senator Roger Wicker, whose office is only two miles from the funeral home.
00:31:14And remember, the hospital's federally funded, courtesy of Senator Wicker.
00:31:21And then, not only was Sadie handpicked to be my judge, she's making money off of dead bodies from the hospital.
00:31:32And I'm like, how far does this go?
00:31:45Hello there.
00:31:46I can't really introduce myself and tell you who I am.
00:31:52I had a few run-ins with the law in the last couple of years, and, well, let's just say that the law enforcement and myself
00:32:01don't quite see eye-to-eye with things that are acceptable in society.
00:32:09Prison changes you.
00:32:11You are broken, beaten, and defeated.
00:32:16There was a darkness and an anger in me.
00:32:20I had started writing what first started off as a book, Missing Pieces, to expose this rogue, corrupt justice system.
00:32:29I named names with high-up, powerful people.
00:32:36And then I took the first chapters, and I blasted them all over the internet with one question.
00:32:43Tell me what you think.
00:32:47Kevin entered my life on Facebook.
00:32:50We both loved Tony Robbins.
00:32:51So there was a connection, like, right from the start.
00:32:54And then we would talk every day.
00:32:56But when Kevin put Missing Pieces online, I realized there was this really dark side.
00:33:04It was all about body parts.
00:33:07Stalking.
00:33:08Corrupt police.
00:33:09At first, I thought it was fiction.
00:33:13But then I realized too late.
00:33:15It was real life.
00:33:17And I just had no idea I was about to step into this monstrous soap opera.
00:33:25There's one thing that she don't need.
00:33:27There's another little hunger not to feed.
00:33:29In the ghetto.
00:33:31In the ghetto.
00:33:32Hey, poet.
00:33:34This is the infamous prison over here.
00:33:36All the guys in blue love me.
00:33:39Well, here's the army tanks.
00:33:42In case we turn it to a police state.
00:33:45When I put Missing Pieces on the internet, I became public enemy number one.
00:33:51Seven days a week, officers trolled down my dead-end street over and over.
00:33:57And just go around and around.
00:34:01Park their car and just watch.
00:34:05I'm just cruising down my street.
00:34:10No reason at all.
00:34:13Enjoy your night, Popo.
00:34:14I'm KC and I approve this video.
00:34:18Watch the government car.
00:34:20One mile an hour past my house.
00:34:24Yes, my dad is paranoid.
00:34:26But when it comes to the police, he was stalked.
00:34:30He was harassed.
00:34:31He was treated differently.
00:34:35Leave me alone.
00:34:37The police would show up every night.
00:34:39They would just drive around really, really slowly.
00:34:42And that frightened me.
00:34:45I'm being watched.
00:34:46I'm being followed.
00:34:47Police were stopping me and harassing me.
00:34:49Coming to my home, shining lights at me.
00:34:52Three different police officers showed up.
00:34:54He hit my camera with his flashlight.
00:35:00Police officers have been stalking me, terrorizing me.
00:35:05Why?
00:35:06My book, Missing Pieces, will tell.
00:35:10I remain KC and I do approve this message.
00:35:13The messed up part is the police who were targeting my dad.
00:35:19They ended up solidifying his reality of the conspiracies.
00:35:24I think mentally he was starting to break.
00:35:33He started posting some strange things.
00:35:36You talked me into a blank year.
00:35:39A year and a half later, I accidentally see something.
00:35:43I begin writing a tell-all story.
00:35:45The conspiracy thing, it overtook him.
00:35:51He kept telling us there was white vans that followed him everywhere.
00:35:58Got a little visitor.
00:36:01Got you on camera.
00:36:02And then he told us that helicopters were always following him.
00:36:10Kevin's always calling it, Jackie, there's three or four helicopters over my house.
00:36:16And I'd say, okay, so what?
00:36:19Something in the sky.
00:36:21Completely silent.
00:36:23White.
00:36:24No markings.
00:36:24My brother would challenge me about being a targeted individual.
00:36:29Helicopters hovering.
00:36:30He acted like he didn't believe it.
00:36:32Nah, you're just making that up.
00:36:34They don't care about you.
00:36:36I'm like, it is happening.
00:36:40I see you.
00:36:42Got you.
00:36:45Mm-hmm.
00:36:46The all C and I.
00:36:49The second time in one hour.
00:36:51Local police begin to harass.
00:36:57Black military helicopters release white powder substance all in my yard.
00:37:03I get a gas mask.
00:37:04Everyone in the world said, you're crazy and you're a liar.
00:37:09So that drove me to prove that I'm not crazy and I'm not lying.
00:37:13And I did find this.
00:37:16And I did get fired in van.
00:37:18And the house was burned down.
00:37:20And the car did blow up.
00:37:21And the wife did leave me.
00:37:23And my children were threatened.
00:37:25And my cat burned alive in my fucking house.
00:37:29I'm pissed.
00:37:31It is absolutely an injustice for a system to zero in or someone like me.
00:37:38Now I'm a fit.
00:37:40And I'm fine with it.
00:37:41Kevin started harassing a lot of people and fought about everything online.
00:37:48He drove Roger Wicker crazy.
00:37:50He drove Roger Wicker crazy.
00:37:50David Daniels.
00:37:52Everett Dusky.
00:37:53Sadie Holland.
00:37:54Steve Holland.
00:37:55He drives everybody insane.
00:37:58If you make him an angry, oh, you have an enemy that will never leave you to the end of time.
00:38:09I'm Casey.
00:38:10I'm tired of being stalked and harassed by all of you.
00:38:16Here you are.
00:38:16I'm asking me.
00:38:18And I go to jail.
00:38:19Not once.
00:38:21Not twice.
00:38:22I had been arrested about 25 fucking times.
00:38:25How do you like to prison, boy?
00:38:30I bet you wish you'd shut your mouth.
00:38:31Hey, Elvis.
00:38:33You and Mississippi now, boy.
00:38:35With a good old voice.
00:38:37Then my own family conspired secretly behind my back to have me committed.
00:38:45Psychiatric ward stuck a needle in my arm and I was like this.
00:38:51So my whole family saying, shut up.
00:38:54Society is saying, shut him down.
00:39:00I'm like, just seen, Kevin.
00:39:09I begin to research the U.S. government, past presidents, Watergate, New World Order, and
00:39:17Read Bible.
00:39:18It all begins making sense.
00:39:20These people who destroy his life, I just wish they'd know the hell that they put us through.
00:39:29Get up.
00:39:33Oh, I'm sorry.
00:39:34I lost it.
00:39:40Feel like the walls are closing in.
00:39:43The end.
00:39:45Origin.
00:39:46I'll never forget.
00:39:48He told me.
00:39:48I'm going to make everybody aware in the world that this has to stop.
00:39:52I walked into my music room, sat down at my computer.
00:40:05Dear Mr. President, I am writing to you in the hopes that you help me against mass corruption
00:40:10in northeast Mississippi.
00:40:11I believe because of what I know, my life is in danger.
00:40:16To see a wrong and not expose it is to become a silent partner to its continuance.
00:40:21I signed off.
00:40:23I am KC, and I approve this message.
00:40:31And Kevin finally reached the point where you have had enough.
00:40:37We're following developments in the case of an elephant for Ringling Brothers Circus
00:40:55that was shot in a drive-by shooting Tuesday morning in Tupelo.
00:41:00We had a circus here.
00:41:03The elephants were out in plain view of the public.
00:41:05There was a drive-by shooting shot at the elephant.
00:41:09The police in Tupelo have set up a tip line.
00:41:12They're hoping somebody will lead them to whoever did this.
00:41:16And of course, among the questions is motive.
00:41:19Police were looking for a white male who was driving a white Ford Explorer that night.
00:41:25This guy that shot the elephant was in a white Ford car.
00:41:30They're the same as Kevin drives.
00:41:32So my kids and I were freaked out.
00:41:35Because Kevin had been acting crazy for a week.
00:41:40Lee County, 911, 3rd Regents.
00:41:42This is Jen.
00:41:44Then the next day, we received a phone call about this letter that had been sent to our justice court.
00:41:51And there was this powdered substance that was in it addressed to Judge Holland.
00:41:57And she opened it.
00:41:58The sheriff called me and said, Steve, your mother has been involved in a situation and you need to come down here now.
00:42:12So we had gathered the evidence and sent it to Quantico for testing.
00:42:17If this is what we really think that this is, this is a threat on their life.
00:42:25There was a letter that was mailed to one of our justice court judges.
00:42:32Inside this letter was a suspicious content.
00:42:36The FBI sequestered Mama and rushed her to the emergency room.
00:42:41They would not let me talk to my own mother.
00:42:42I mean, who would do something like this?
00:42:46Has got to be pure evil.
00:42:51I got a call from a U.S. attorney.
00:42:55And he says, have you recently got any mail without a return address on it?
00:43:02I said, as a matter of fact, I do.
00:43:05He said, don't open it.
00:43:07And then Mr. Daniels contacted us that there was something sent to him that was suspicious.
00:43:13Okay.
00:43:14We realized then we've got a big problem.
00:43:22There is a very, very disturbing report coming out of Washington, D.C. right now.
00:43:29No one knows what it is.
00:43:30The Capitol is being evacuated.
00:43:32And evacuation is taking place across D.C.
00:43:35We do begin tonight with breaking news.
00:43:42The U.S. senator has been targeted.
00:43:44An envelope addressed to the office of Senator Roger Wickham.
00:43:48They're Republican from Mississippi.
00:43:50Roger Wicker has been sent what is believed to be a poisonous substance.
00:43:55My chief of staff called and said, the strangest thing happened.
00:44:03Someone sent rice in to me in an envelope.
00:44:06I was given Secret Service protection.
00:44:12So I knew it was very serious to the FBI people.
00:44:17I worked for the FBI doing counterterrorism.
00:44:21Late at night, I was awakened by a phone call from our weapons and mass destruction coordinator.
00:44:27He said, hey, we're tracking something.
00:44:31We're not sure right now.
00:44:32But one of our senators received a threat letter with the poison rice.
00:44:39And then this investigation elevated through the roof.
00:44:43When he followed up with another call that President Obama had also received a letter.
00:44:48We are getting our first look at urgent new warnings for the White House now.
00:44:57The FBI and Secret Service are now investigating two envelopes.
00:45:02The most recent letter intended for the hands of the President of the United States.
00:45:09Ryzen has been found on letters mailed to the President and at least one U.S. center.
00:45:15This is a really serious matter.
00:45:20Ryzen is a very deadly poison.
00:45:226,000 times more poisonous than cyanide.
00:45:25And a tiny drop of ryzen is enough to kill a human.
00:45:29There is certainly a heightened level of concern here.
00:45:33Pennsylvania Avenue outside of the White House has been closed off.
00:45:37Kristen, I'm going to have to interrupt you because Jay Kearney is taking the podium.
00:45:40Let's hear what he has to say.
00:45:42Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.
00:45:44Thank you for being here.
00:45:45There are a couple of issues that are under investigation by the FBI.
00:45:50And I thought I would start with that.
00:45:52The President has, of course, been briefed on these letters.
00:45:55He was briefed last night and again this morning.
00:45:57And as the President said, we will find out who did this.
00:46:01We will find out why.
00:46:03And we will bring those responsible to justice.
00:46:06There was an urgency to track down who did this.
00:46:10We needed to act.
00:46:11We needed to act quickly.
00:46:12We had FBI, Secret Service, U.S. Capitol Police, Postal Service, National Guard, Homeland Security.
00:46:18Let me tell you, if you send a deadly toxin to the U.S. President, there's a lot of folks going to start trying to figure out who you are.
00:46:26I really didn't know why this particular individual chose me.
00:46:34But sending the letter to the President was a grave, grave mistake on his part.
00:46:44The first step of the investigation, we needed to do some link analysis.
00:46:54The envelopes were all postmarked Memphis, Tennessee.
00:46:59But when they go through the Postal Service, they're stamped with a barcode.
00:47:04And the barcode indicated that the originating office was Tupelo, Mississippi.
00:47:13So Tupelo became ground zero for this operation.
00:47:21New information on that Rison case.
00:47:24The FBI is heading to Mississippi as agents work to find out who mailed poisoned letters to the President of the United States.
00:47:31The FBI came down here and said the two letters mailed to Senator Wicker and President Obama are exactly the same.
00:47:42And I would love to have had a picture on my face of what I looked like when they showed this.
00:47:49And I said, hold on a minute.
00:47:52John, this is just coming in.
00:47:54Both letters contain the following message.
00:47:58I told the FBI we have a strange individual that had this beef with his hospital and this conspiracy that took place.
00:48:22The sheriff said he's obsessed with hospitals and funeral homes, taking body parts and selling them on the black market.
00:48:31So we contacted Representative Holland, Senator Wicker's office.
00:48:37The staff told us he sends us letters all the time demanding we pass House Bill 6631.
00:48:45It's a guy we deal with that is not super stable.
00:48:48We learned this man had a past record of criminal activity.
00:49:01Several arrests, including an assault charge against a district attorney.
00:49:06The D.A. had to pull a gun on him out of fear for his safety.
00:49:10And then we start to find there's an issue between him and Sadie Holland, who had previously sentenced him.
00:49:17So our analyst scrubbed his social media, and there it was.
00:49:22Missing Pieces, a book about black market body parts.
00:49:26And I see Missing Pieces, and immediately you start seeing the phrases that are in the threat letters.
00:49:34The two letters, they are signed the same way, saying, I am KC, KC.
00:49:44And I approve this message.
00:49:47I am KC.
00:49:48I am KC.
00:49:49I am KC.
00:49:50And I approve this message.
00:49:51These letters are manifestos.
00:49:54And now he's willing to kill to bring attention to his cause.
00:49:59We're dealing with a madman.
00:50:03Maybe the biggest puzzle of all is who is KC?
00:50:06My phone rings, and it's the sheriff of Tupelo, Jim Johnson.
00:50:22He says, I want you to meet me behind the cracker barrel.
00:50:26When I drove up, I saw, like, four black SUVs full of special agents, FBI.
00:50:38And they said, Jack, well, the truth is, we need you to tell us where your brother lives.
00:50:46Breaking news out of Mississippi.
00:50:50There is a massive manhunt for a terrorist suspect.
00:50:53Sources are telling us that it was somebody from Mississippi, from Senator Wicker's home state.
00:51:00Putting on the WNBC for the first time for real was a very sobering experience.
00:51:09And we all prayed that none of us had leaks.
00:51:12Go, go, go, go, go, go.
00:51:16You're born in a poor little baby child.
00:51:19You're born in the camp.
00:51:24April the 17th, 2013.
00:51:28KC is finally ready for a relaxing night of peace and quiet.
00:51:32Just listening to his favorite Dolly Parton record, eating steak dinner with ranch dressing,
00:51:37when out of nowhere,
00:51:43the SWAT kicked my door down.
00:51:46At long last, this was my destiny.
00:51:52The FBI, the Secret Service, Capitol Police, Homeland Security,
00:51:58helicopters hovering with mounted machine guns.
00:52:01Fall to the ground.
00:52:02Do not resist.
00:52:04We will shoot you.
00:52:05This big muscle-bound, steroid-tankin' G-Man shot my dog with a tranquilizer.
00:52:11My sweet little chihuahua.
00:52:14Moo cat.
00:52:15Bill Cow, get back inside.
00:52:17And they just went in with their batons.
00:52:19People, don't you understand?
00:52:21Ha!
00:52:21Boom!
00:52:22Boom!
00:52:23Boom!
00:52:23Holy hell!
00:52:25Or he'll grow to be an angry young man someday.
00:52:28I've gotten shackled and chained running from my neck to my waist to my feet.
00:52:34And then they threw me into the van and locked the door and drove to a secret location.
00:52:40We have breaking news.
00:52:42The FBI has arrested a suspect in Mississippi in connection with suspicious letters addressed to President Obama.
00:52:49Now, just moments ago, members of this hazmat team arrived.
00:52:52They just breached the door.
00:52:53The first thing they did was take down a security camera.
00:52:56A lot of these men are heavily armed.
00:52:58Big question, Diane, what are they going to find inside?
00:53:01Strange new details emerging.
00:53:04He is said to be an Elvis impersonator, obsessed with conspiracy theories and with a personal link to his target.
00:53:11He talks about organ harvesting.
00:53:15He said on his Facebook he's been arrested 22 times and that he was going to keep fighting the fight, whatever that is.
00:53:22Paul Kevin Curtis claimed to have uncovered a conspiracy to traffic in body parts.
00:53:29A secret plot to sell human body parts in the black market.
00:53:32He wrote a novel called Missing Pieces about black market body parts.
00:53:38Jack came in about the same time it was on TV.
00:53:42And everything's a blur.
00:53:45Wham!
00:53:46It came down on me hard at one time.
00:53:49I kind of passed out for a while.
00:53:52And his mama cried.
00:54:03They take me into an interrogation room.
00:54:0712 hours.
00:54:09That it became a game.
00:54:11Cat and mouse.
00:54:13Mr. Curtis, do you recall sending a letter to Roger Wicker and Sadie Holland, President Obama?
00:54:23And I'm like, yes, I've sent letters to them numerous times.
00:54:28Everyone looked at me with utter fear.
00:54:32And I said, what is this about?
00:54:35Mr. Curtis, with all due respect, you know.
00:54:38You know what you've done.
00:54:39Don't toy with us.
00:54:41I said, this is about the body parts, right?
00:54:44Another man dressed in black gets right in my face.
00:54:49And he is hostile.
00:54:51We know you did it.
00:54:53Don't play dumb with us.
00:54:54Okay?
00:54:55Okay.
00:54:56Does this have something to do with Facebook?
00:54:57Cut the shit, Mr. Curtis.
00:54:59We're not going to sit here and fuck around with you.
00:55:02And a fourth interrogator gets right in my face and said,
00:55:07Mr. Curtis, you tried to kill the President of the United States, Barack Obama.
00:55:14And a tear come out of his eye.
00:55:18Such a shame, Mr. Curtis.
00:55:21You are never going to see your children again because of what you've done.
00:55:27You're going to prison for life.
00:55:30And at that moment, I just broke down crying.
00:55:33I literally just wanted to see my mom.
00:55:38I said to myself, you win.
00:55:41I'll shut up now.
00:55:43KC is down for the count.
00:55:45They got what they wanted.
00:55:48TKO, you know, just shut your mouth.
00:55:53John, good morning to you.
00:55:55We do know that Kevin Curtis is here at the Lafayette County Jail
00:55:58in Oxford, Mississippi.
00:56:00He could potentially face some various serious charges,
00:56:03including use of a weapon of mass destruction, terrorism,
00:56:06as well as an attempt to commit murder.
00:56:09I was sitting on my couch, watching TV,
00:56:12and I saw Kevin come up on the screen.
00:56:15I sat there, and I felt sick.
00:56:18He turned out to be a terrorist.
00:56:21His name is Paul Kevin Curtis.
00:56:23The Fed's describing this guy as a paranoid loner.
00:56:26He was a mad personality.
00:56:28He was a vicious kind of guy.
00:56:30He attacked me personally.
00:56:32I told the FBI, it's the only person that I knew of
00:56:35that was insane enough to do something like this.
00:56:38Senator Wicker actually hired him a few years back,
00:56:41but went on to say that since then,
00:56:43Paul Kevin Curtis' mental state has deteriorated.
00:56:46Clearly, he has some mental issues.
00:56:49Paranoia or paranoid schizophrenia.
00:56:51People that we've talked to will say outright
00:56:54that they believe he's mentally ill.
00:56:56I kept asking myself, how did we get to this point?
00:57:03And so I made a statement that he has a bipolar condition
00:57:09and that at times in the past,
00:57:12he has gotten off of his medication.
00:57:14As a family, we are concerned,
00:57:16and we hope that one day we can get my brother the help
00:57:20that he needs.
00:57:22His ex-wife is saying something went wrong.
00:57:25I was with the FBI for like 24 hours.
00:57:28I said, do you think he did this?
00:57:30And they said, we know he did it.
00:57:32We have the proof.
00:57:34And as they were leaving, they said,
00:57:37oh, last thing, is Kevin a Republican or a Democrat?
00:57:41And I said, he's a Democrat.
00:57:43He loves President Obama.
00:57:45As I'm sitting there being interrogated,
00:57:52and to the eighth hour,
00:57:54someone from the CIA sits down.
00:57:58Mr. Curtis, are you familiar with the poison ricin?
00:58:04I said, sir, I haven't bought rice in years.
00:58:09I never eat rice.
00:58:10It seems so surreal.
00:58:13And what is he talking about?
00:58:16Rice?
00:58:17I don't even like rice.
00:58:19That is the most odd response I've ever received
00:58:23from someone we have just arrested.
00:58:26You think, okay, it can't get any worse, and it does.
00:58:30The only time I eat rice is when I go to a Chinese restaurant.
00:58:33And I started to really believe
00:58:36that this guy may not know what ricin is.
00:58:41Six agents walk out of the room,
00:58:44and I see them through a glass, whisper.
00:58:48Kevin Curtis just did not seem to be a person
00:58:51that would have the intelligence of a chemist
00:58:55to create ricin.
00:58:57I thought, ricin?
00:58:58What is ricin, first of all?
00:58:59So I did research.
00:59:01It's a very complex poison.
00:59:03There would be a lot of lab equipment.
00:59:09You have to know what to order.
00:59:10You have to know how to prepare it.
00:59:12You'd have to know how it was going to be mixed.
00:59:14You have to wear gloves.
00:59:16You have to protect yourself.
00:59:18There's a lot of thought, detail, and chemistry.
00:59:21And I honestly didn't think that Kevin, you know,
00:59:23had the wherewithal.
00:59:24Kevin just did not fit the mold.
00:59:27I said, there is no way he pulled this off.
00:59:30He dropped out of high school.
00:59:32It was too complicated, you know,
00:59:34for him to be able to do all of that.
00:59:36I mean, this is Kevin.
00:59:38This is a Elvis impersonator.
00:59:40We walked out and said, there's no way this guy did this.
00:59:44Finally, they walked back in and point blank said,
00:59:49Mr. Curtis, do you have any enemies?
00:59:52They said, does Kevin have any enemies?
00:59:54And I said, well, I do know somebody that could pull this off.
00:59:59The number one enemy that has made my life a living hell
01:00:04for the last four or five years is James Everett Duskey,
01:00:07a karate instructor in Tupelo, Mississippi.
01:00:10God, I think it's James Everett Duskey.
01:00:12Everett Duskey.
01:00:13If anybody could mastermind something like this, it would be Duskey.
01:00:18Dutchkey?
01:00:19Dutchkey?
01:00:20My Dutchkey that works at my office, the insurance agent.
01:00:23Durskey?
01:00:24Dutchkey, excuse me.
01:00:25We called him douchebag.
01:00:27On Paul Kevin Curtis, the man who was arrested
01:00:31and accused of sending letters tainted with the deadly poison ricin.
01:00:35What I'm told by a law enforcement official today
01:00:38is that Duskey is a Wayne Newton impersonator.
01:00:41Uh-oh, trouble's back in town.
01:00:47This call is from a federal prison.
01:00:53You will not be charged for this call.
01:00:55To accept this call, press 5.
01:00:58This call is from Duskey.
01:01:05Uh-oh, uh-oh, trouble's back in town.
01:01:10Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh.
01:01:13I feel a sad old memory coming back to torture me.
01:01:23Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, trouble's back in town.
01:01:28Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh.
01:01:33Funny she still looks the same.
01:01:37Time has brought so little change.
01:01:42Why did she turn up again
01:01:46just when my heart was on the mend?
01:01:53Wish I didn't love her so
01:01:58Better hide until she goes
01:02:03Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, trouble's back in town.
01:02:09Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh
01:02:12Funny she still looks the same.
01:02:17Time has brought so little change.
01:02:22Why did she turn up again
01:02:26Just when my heart was on the mend?
01:02:34Wish I didn't love her so
01:02:39Better hide until she goes
01:02:44Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, trouble's back in town.
01:02:51For more than just a Bible study,
01:02:55Since she tried and saw her
01:02:56She didn't do nothing
01:02:57On human brain
01:02:59She did not know
01:03:00The one who was on the Mendel
01:03:03Now she let her know
01:03:04The one who was on the mend
01:03:05Is that the one who was on the mend?
01:03:07The one who was on the mend?
01:03:10The one who was on the mend?
01:03:11The one who was on the mend?
01:03:12It was a man who was on the mend
01:03:13I'll see you next time.
01:03:43Rick, move your head.
01:04:13I'll see you next time.
01:04:43I'll see you next time.
