Liberal Democrats leader Sir Ed Davey has expressed his support for the possibility of a youth mobility scheme with the EU. It comes as both the chancellor and home secretary confirmed they would be open to the idea, which would allow Europeans to temporarily live and work in the UK. Mr Davey said it's important to "rebuild the trust between the UK and Europe". Report by Kennedyl. 00:00Liberal Democrats have always argued for a youth mobility scheme. We think it's
00:03really important to rebuild the trust between the UK and Europe. The
00:08Conservatives badly broke that. It's damaged our economy, it's damaged our
00:12ability to work with others on our security of our country. So we absolutely
00:17need to rebuild that relationship and I think this is a first start. It would be very welcome.
