PM Wong called on leaders of all parties to state their positions clearly on foreign interference and the mixing of race and religion with politics in Singapore at a press conference on Saturday (April 26).
In response, Pritam Singh addressed the issue before concluding his rally speech, saying, “Singapore is our business, nobody else’s!”

00:00Before I end, I want to share some thoughts on the Prime Minister's press conference earlier this afternoon.
00:13The Prime Minister took a break from the political campaign to speak as a Singaporean.
00:19He said, and I quote,
00:21I'm not here to talk about my concerns about the party.
00:26I'm here to talk about my concerns for Singapore and our country, unquote.
00:32So let me give the Prime Minister the courtesy of doing the same for the next one minute.
00:37I'm a Singaporean.
00:39This is the only home I know.
00:42I don't have investment properties overseas.
00:46I entered politics to advance and champion a better Singapore than the one I was born in.
00:53One that is more just and fairer for all Singaporeans, including our minorities.
01:02I passionately believe in a race-neutral Singapore where we are judged not by our race or the colour of our skin,
01:11but by our deeds and our common humanity.
01:17My colleagues and I categorically reject the involvement of any foreign element whatsoever in our domestic politics.
01:28Singapore is our business, nobody else's.
01:31And if I can put on my party hat to any foreign element,
01:39the Workers' Party does not need your support.
01:42We only need the support of our people, our fellow Singaporeans.
01:49Thank you, Tempani.
01:51Thank you, Tempani Sankar.
01:54Have a good evening.
