Andrey Kagan, 36, narrowly escaped injury after his electric surfboard, a Waydoo Efoil, hit a submerged object while he was cruising on Lake Ray Hubbard in Dallas, Texas.

The impact catapulted him off the board into the water.

Dramatic footage of the incident, which Andrey shared online, led viewers to speculate that he might have hit a large fish or even an alligator.

However, Andrey believes he struck a submerged tree, a common feature of the lake. Miraculously, both he and the board were unharmed.

He quickly used his remote to retrieve the board and resumed surfing.
