00:00on the streets, running wild, was natural.
00:04It was the way it was.
00:06And it never ceased to amaze me.
00:08Why did dogs run after car wheels?
00:11You know, a car would go by and they would want to bite the wheel
00:14off the car and be killed doing it.
00:17Why did they do that?
00:19Actually, I remember as a youngster,
00:21a man in the first car, an old wreck, aged 17 or 18,
00:25and driving round and often being chased by dogs in certain parts.
00:28And the dog probably getting better off you at that stage.
00:32The story today, though, David, in the papers,
00:35is that the thing that irks people most of all are those,
00:39and it irks me, who don't pick up their dog poo at all.
00:44It annoys 97% of people.
00:47Yes, and I must stress always, it's the owner and not the dog,
00:52which is normally to blame.
00:53I don't have dogs, but my daughter has two.
00:56And sometimes we dog sit for her, you know, for an afternoon,
01:00and I take the dogs out for a walk in the park.
01:02I always take with me about a dozen of these little plastic bags.
01:07And, you know, it always annoys me and irks me
01:09when I see excrement on the parapet,
01:13because, you know, it's illegal.
01:15It's illegal and it's easily dealt with.
01:17Anna, one of the things, do you have dogs?
01:19I do.
01:20Yeah.
01:21Yeah, Lottie, yes.
01:22Oh, of course, Lottie.
01:22My little cavapuchon.
01:23Yeah.
01:24But the thing is, the bags that David's talking about,
01:28you know, it's one thing getting the bags,
01:30it's another thing then, those who tie it up in the bags
01:32and then throw the bags on trees.
01:35Have you seen that?
01:35Oh, that is that.
01:36They hang like a Christmas tree.
01:38That is the thing I hate the most,
01:40when you go to a lovely wood, a lovely park,
01:42and then you see all those bags.
01:45Which is going to last for years and years and years.
01:47Exactly.
01:47I mean, that is, yes, okay,
01:49maybe they've got it out of the way of a child.
01:51That's a good thing.
01:52But putting it there, it's a health hazard,
01:55it's an eyesore.
01:57Yeah.
01:57No, that's one of my bugbears.
01:58Yeah.
01:59And the other thing that irritates people is litter in general.
02:03And it may seem a somewhat old-fashioned thing
02:06to object to litter being thrown around.
02:09It just never ceases to amaze me why people do it.
02:14Why certain people do it.
02:15We should pick up young people.
02:18I mean, a lot of it is breeding.
02:19I mean, I was always taught not to litter,
02:22take your litter home.
02:23I did the same with my children.
02:25I never see my children now as adults throwing litter.
02:27No, of course not.
02:28Of course they don't.
02:28And their kids won't do it either.
02:31No.
02:31And these people who throw litter
02:32have never been taught not to do it.
02:34I can't stand these people who eat pizzas and takeaways.
02:37Especially, we see this in football matches.
02:40They eat whatever, whatever,
02:41and then they just toss it aside.
02:42That's it.
02:43Take it in the bin.
02:44And, you know, I always talk about Lyon Sea
02:47and our lovely beaches.
02:49People who come to our lovely beaches,
02:51and they're welcome, but their litter is not welcome.
02:54And they just leave their litter on the beach.
02:56I think it's absolutely disgusting.
02:58At the risk of angering ourselves even more,
03:01the other ones I must add are coughing and sneezing.
03:05I sat next to somebody on a train coming back from Liverpool
03:07the whole two and a half hours of the journey.
03:10He was coughing and sneezing.
03:13And I couldn't move anywhere because the train was packed.
03:15But what can he do?
03:16What can he do?
03:17Stop coughing or take something for it.
03:20Just go and die.
03:22The other one is spitting, playing loud music,
03:28loud chatting on the phone.
03:30Why do you need to chat on the phone on a train?
03:33What about the text message?
03:35Or a text message.
03:35The new craze is people always speaking on their phone now
03:40and not putting their phone to their ear a lot longer.
03:42Loud speaker, yeah.
03:43Yeah, I mean, why do we all want to hear
03:45everyone else's conversation?
03:46Well, I have a name for people like that
03:47and I can't really say it here on the programme.
03:51But usually with me, it's getting on aeroplanes
03:53or you say, or trains or whatever.
03:55And it's, yeah, well, I'll be there at 3.45.
03:58Yeah, what are you going to do?
03:59And they're chewing to find their seat.
04:02And this goes on.
04:03Yeah, now I'm on a plane at the moment.
04:04Yeah, yeah, yeah.
04:06And you just want to smack them.
