14 People died in massive fire break out in Rituraj Hotel in Kolkata

Kolkata (West Bengal), April 30, 2025(ANI): A massive fire broke out in Rituraj hotel in Eastern Kolkata on April 30. Officials said in this incident at least 14 people were killed. Rescuers were seen moving bodies into ambulances, after dousing the blaze. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.Many hotel guests attempted to escape. One of the individuals sustaining severe injuries after jumping from the building. Several others suffered from suffocation but were successfully rescued and taken for medical treatment.Meanwhile, some guests who had sought refuge on the terrace were safely evacuated to the rooftop of a neighboring building with the assistance of ladders provided by firefighters.
