00:00Hello wrestling fans, we are live here tonight.
00:05Grand Messe, Kumamoto, and Kumamoto, Japan.
00:08It is time for Night 7, The Road to Wrestling Tantaku 2025.
00:13My name is Walker Stewart.
00:14Yoroshiku, oragashimasu.
00:17And a wonderful,
00:22Yoroshiku, oragashimasu for these two Young Lions.
00:25It is Young Lion Daikinagai facing off against his counterpart.
00:29A man who he has never defeated before, in Katsuya Murashima.
00:40Well, we've seen this singles match a few times over this series,
00:45as well as our pit stop back in Hiroshima.
00:47There you're going to get a good shot of your wonderful Japanese broadcast team,
00:51Murata-san and Milano Collection AT, and here we go.
00:55Bell sounds, we are officially underway.
00:58It is a 5-0 record to get the numbers out of the way between Katsuya Murashima and Daikinagai.
01:02The five are going to go to the man who is just a wee bit the senior in Young Lion Murashima.
01:08A bit on the heavier side by comparison to his Young Lion compatriot in Daikinagai.
01:14And a guy yet to score a singles win over Murashima in their five pass singles encounters.
01:22First taking place back on the road to King of Pro Wrestling 2024.
01:25That was back in October of last year.
01:27Most recent, just four days ago, it was Wrestling Red Zone in Hiroshima.
01:32Saw a lot of change in championship opportunity, primarily the IWGP Tag Team Championship.
01:38Newly crowned as of still, Callum Newman and Great Okan.
01:42But as more things change, the more things stay the same for these Young Lions.
01:53And speaking of change, we have seen a few changes come.
01:56The official announcements for night one of Road to Wrestling Dantaku, or rather, Wrestling Dantaku 2025.
02:02We'll be kicking off on May 3rd, the newly crowned NJPW World Television Champion, El Phantasmo.
02:11We're going to have to put a pin in that one, as we could be seeing a sudden end to this matchup.
02:15We're going to change direction to Katia Morashima.
02:18The cross arm immediately brought to the bottom rope by Daikinagai.
02:25It is the newly crowned NJPW World Television Champion, El Phantasmo.
02:30He looks to issue his own challenge to a man that he's set to face off against May 9th.
02:35Resurgence tickets available right now, Ontario, California, USA, for the Never Openweight Championship on that night.
02:44And on May 3rd, the Cardi's now been changed from preview tag team action to a second championship match for Konosuke Takeshita to dig his teeth into.
02:54It is the World Television title which will be on the line when ELP goes one-on-one with Takeshita.
02:59For the World TV title.
03:01And of course, we're going to talk about it at length later on in the evening.
03:06But it was a 10-man tag team matchup that we saw just 24 hours ago for Wrestling Hisen no Kuni.
03:13We are deep in the week of Golden Week celebration here in Japan.
03:17And the Dog Pound Steel Cage match that we're set to see just coming up the next time we are live on NJPW World has now been made official.
03:26Dog Pound Cage match. Loser leaves Bullet Club.
03:30Evil and David Finley, the leader of these respective units, have made it tried, true, and clear.
03:36David Finley said himself, if you lose this matchup, you can no longer refer to yourself as Bullet Clubhouse of Torture.
03:44And David Finley taking on that same weight for the War Dogs as well.
03:49And it's going to be a very interesting time that we see.
03:53We'll be talking a lot more about those two matches coming up very, very soon as we head right back inside the ring for Young Lions, Katya Morishima and Daikinaga.
04:06I'm really appreciating a lot of what we're seeing out of Young Lion, Katya Morishima.
04:12It was what we saw as well out of fellow Young Lion, Masatora Yasuda in singles competition 24 hours ago.
04:18Finally received his Connection Final Road matchup with Hiroshi Tanahashi.
04:23And while Yasuda just lasting a little bit over seven minutes with the Ace of the Universe,
04:27the bottom of the pack when it comes to the promoted beat the clock concept to this Young Lion clash with Tanahashi.
04:36It was Tanahashi's own junior in Katya Morishima.
04:42His own A2, his own assistant in Katya Morishima that did last the longest out of those encounters.
04:47Eight minutes, 56 seconds.
04:48That is a crown to win, even in loss for Young Lion, Masatora Yasuda.
04:55And it is Daikinaga off the dropkick going to look to build momentum, build steam forward.
05:16We do have what is announced here today, Best of the Super Junior 32.
05:21Competitors already announced for this upcoming tournament kicking off on May 10th in Chiba, Japan.
05:27Covered here for Daikinaga.
05:30But there are indeed some unanswered questions as to what Best of the Super Junior 32 is going to be looking like.
05:37An entrant from CMLL yet to be announced, soon to be announced here tonight.
05:42As well as, what the hell is going on with Bushi and Best of the Super Junior this year.
05:48Originally announced, now it is to confirm Bushi's contract expiring with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
05:54And not to be renewed past Wrestling Dantaku 2025.
05:58A lot of answers to come for Best of the Super Junior 32 in the evening.
06:02And off the ropes here goes Banashima, who is going to send down the guy with a lot of force on that forearm.
06:18And watching onward with bated breath, you see the left knee taped heavily.
06:36For Young Lion, Katzia Morishima has been sporting that left knee tape for a little bit of time.
06:41And well, and it looks all fine and good off the base there.
06:45Here's the cover for Banashima.
06:47And it is not enough.
06:50Not just yet.
07:01Oh, and Daikinaga, heavily explosive out of that drop kick here.
07:06And just a little bit of separation created between these two men.
07:10Awfully necessary knowing the fact that the guy has never, and I mean never,
07:14pinned or submitted Banashima in singles competition before.
07:18And a change could come here tonight if the pendulum swings up, brought down Banashima.
07:24Oh, had control of that arm.
07:26That is a sloppy misstep for Banashima.
07:29Quickly recovered on with the arm control.
07:32And these are the things that, of course, you learn during your time in the OK Dojo.
07:38Yes, the arm slips away from Banashima.
07:40You learn how to recover.
07:41You learn how to take it back.
07:43And the recovery maintained right here.
07:45A lot of technicality out of Banashima.
07:47Fujiwara makes the tap.
07:55And it is a submission victory for Young Lion, Katzia Morishima.
08:00And while I don't have the records in front of me right now, from my memory,
08:05this is the first time I've seen Banashima victorious via submission with that particular maneuver.
08:12It's just one more match for Daikine guy to study back up on on the NJPW World archives.
08:18And when he does, he very well may be watching live in English.
08:23Thank you so much for watching us live in English here tonight on NJPW World.
08:29I guess he wouldn't be watching live in English particularly, hence the archive term.
08:33But Daikine guy, a student of the game, we're going to see what comes next for the guy in the future.
08:37You're going to want to stick around to those fiery top guy, Daikine guy post-match comments.
08:55Because certainly, this is not over between these two men.
09:02Coming up next, folks, six-man tag team action sees Hontai take on TMDK.
09:07And there is a lot of news coming out of the kickoff to Golden Week with wrestling, Hizen No Kuni.
09:12We will talk all about it ahead of junior tag action.
