00:00The spot where we did not see a series-clinching victory inside the world's most famous arena,
00:05the New York Knicks and the Detroit Pistons.
00:08The Knickerbockers, a five-and-a-half-point home favorite in Game 5
00:11to ice out the Pistons and advance to round number two.
00:16Detroit had other ideas, as New York really had nothing down the stretch
00:21to match what the Pistons presented.
00:23106-103, Detroit wins outright as a five-and-a-half-point road underdog
00:29inside the Garden in Game 5 to extend this series to a sixth game
00:35back in the Motor City later this week.
00:38A huge, huge victory for the Pistons, getting the better of the Knicks inside MSG.
00:44J.B. Bickerstaff, credit him right now because this is a team that is not built on
00:49we go deep into the playoffs year after year after year.
00:51We're built for this.
00:52This is a team that had a devastating Game 1, woke up and won a game in the Garden,
00:58went home, and things did not go their way, which included a late foul that they should
01:03have got credit for and should have won that.
01:05And the series, quite frankly, should be over here.
01:07Then they go back to the Garden, and I don't know what to anticipate.
01:10The Knicks looking to close it out, electric atmosphere, the better basketball team,
01:13the higher seed, and away we go with another victory for the Detroit Pistons.
01:17So impressive how this team is able to gather itself after gut punch, after gut punch, after
01:23gut punch, and still come back for more and force a game back in Detroit, which I do anticipate
01:27the Detroit Pistons winning that game and forcing a Game 7 in the Garden in round number
01:33one, which is everybody's worst nightmare if you are a New York Knicks backer at that point.
01:37But I can't talk enough about the medal of the Pistons last night knowing they said,
01:42you know what, should have won the last game, didn't do that, just the formality at this
01:46point, fought hard all the way through, loved what I saw last night with the win and the
01:50cover for the Pistons.
