Speaking to reporters outside the White House, President Trump was asked about tariff relief for automakers.

00:00They are calling, and I will be talking to them, yes.
00:02Do you have to do something with the tariffs in automobiles?
00:05Were you worried about the automobiles? Is that why?
00:07No, not at all. We're just giving them a little chance,
00:09because in some cases they can't get the parts fast enough.
00:12So this is just a little transition.
00:14It's 15% for one year and just 10% for another.
00:19It's a little bit.
00:21And it has to do, that's only the percentage of parts on the car.
00:24So it's a little bit of help for people that will be doing a great job.
00:30And these are all people, for the most part, that are building plants
00:32and will be working here.
00:34So it's a little transition.
00:45India is coming along great.
00:47I think we'll have a deal with India.
00:49The prime minister, as you know, was here three weeks ago,
00:52and they want to make a deal. We'll see what happens.
