00:00Scott, what do you think about what Jonathan's just said? Is Iran the aggressor?
00:05Well, I mean, first of all, Israel's not a state in the union.
00:09So I don't care about Israel or Israel's national security concerns whatsoever.
00:14I'm from Texas. I'm from the United States of America and I'm an American patriot.
00:19And Israel has their own problems.
00:21America could have normalized relations with Iran back in 1993,
00:26which, by the way, after the revolution, Israel kept getting along with Iran.
00:31Remember when Ronald Reagan sold the missiles?
00:32It was through Israel during Iran-Contra.
00:35And right when America was finally ready to start getting along with Iran in 1993
00:41was when Yitzhak Rabin, the Israeli prime minister,
00:44turned their policy around and started demonizing them instead.
00:48America, in fact, even Ronald Reagan's secretary of state, Alexander Haig,
00:52wanted to work on a deal to build an oil pipeline across Iran
00:55in the early 90s to begin to warm up American relations.
00:59That was 35 years ago.
01:01We could have normalized relations with Iran.
01:03Zbigniew Brzezinski, who had egg all over his face from the Iranian revolution,
01:07took place on his watch, the hostage crisis and the rest,
01:10when he worked for Jimmy Carter.
01:11By the early 90s, he said it's time to get along with the Iranians,
01:15build an oil pipeline across Iran and open up relations.
01:18And it was the Israel lobby who absolutely insisted that this could not happen
01:23and insisted instead on this ridiculous dual containment policy.
