00:00The Houthis said Britain should anticipate the consequences of its aggression.
00:05How concerning is the threat? And what actions could the Houthis take?
00:10Yes, I mean, I think what's interesting across the Arab world, whenever there are threats like this,
00:15certainly their first reaction is threatening rhetoric.
00:19The harsh reality is the Houthis do not have the military capability to present a threat to Western assets in the region.
00:25What they are being used, the Houthis quite overtly are being used by Iran as a proxy force.
00:32And all of this, unfortunately, is all linked to the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.
00:39The Houthis came out in support of Hamas.
00:42It's no coincidence that at the moment the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has broken down.
00:48The Hamas are now beleaguered. They're under attack again.
00:51And the Israelis have actually cut off all aid into Gaza as well.
00:55So I suspect what's happening behind the scenes is Iran is fueling the fire, trying to get the Houthis to react.
01:02And this time, rather than waiting for them to attack shipping, the West is doing an intelligence-led operation.
01:09In other words, it's intercepting communications.
01:12It's watching the movement of missiles from Iran.
01:15And it's hitting the Houthis before they can mount any devastating attack on shipping.
01:20So, yes, there'll always be a bit of rhetoric, Leanne, but the hard reality is until the Gaza conflict is resolved,
01:26I suspect we're going to see the Houthis continue to do all they can to harass shipping into the Red Sea.
01:32All right.
01:32All right.
01:37All right.
01:38All right.
