00:00I've noticed that it's a general level of positivity that people see that we're
00:06trying to deal with cost of living and I think they're really receptive to the
00:10message about investing in Medicare and the Medicare urgent care clinics have
00:14been really well received in the community. The other thing that I've been
00:17getting is people really worried about the risk of Peter Dutton, particularly
00:22his nuclear plan. I've had Liberal voters coming up to me saying I voted Liberal
00:26of my life but I can't vote for Mr Dutton because of his nuclear plan and they're
00:30also worried about where the cuts are going to come from. So that's different
00:34from last time obviously. Hi there, I'm Pat Conway, you're at Labour MP.
00:40What are the local priorities for people? Number one is health care, affordable access to affordable
00:49health care, right at that is cost of living but more generally people want a
00:53positive plan for the future. Everyone understands that it's been challenging
00:57over the last three years for the whole globe but they want to know how
01:00people's lives will get better and they've been responding to our plans for
01:04investing in health, helping with cost of living, bringing manufacturing jobs home
01:08and that's been well received and I think people I think a bit over the
01:13negativity that some people have been throwing out during his campaign they
01:16want to know how their life will be better in three years time.
01:20I'm taking nothing for granted. We'll find out in about 50 hours or probably 56
01:27hours time now but we'll see what the voters say but I think people can see
01:33that we've got a plan and we're working hard for them but ultimately they'll
01:37decide that and that's the beauty of democracy.
01:39So Emma, how have you found a campaign?
01:42Yeah, it's been excellent. What an experience. It's been really good. Obviously I've been doing it along with my son
01:47for the past couple of months but I've had a really, really good experience. Oh, thank you.
01:52Sorry, we've just found a sock.
01:54Yeah, so been going well?
01:56Yeah, it's been going really well. So lots of positivity on the ground obviously but
02:02just waiting to see what happens on Saturday night.
02:04Sure. What are the main issues that people have been raising with you?
02:08It's cost of living. It's energy. All of those things will come as no surprises to anybody.
02:12It's housing. I'm also seeing a lot of people want a different representation I think.
02:18So I'm receiving a lot of positivity towards my candidacy on the field which is really nice.
02:24And have you always feeling confident?
02:26Look, you never count your chickens before they hatch. I'm just waiting through to Saturday night.
02:31But you've got to have a little bit of optimism as you go through.
02:41Yeah.
