00:30πο been watching
00:38Nowawa Inoue's success
00:39has been
00:40incredible for Japan
00:42Right now Japanese
00:44has double-digit champions
00:46and at some point
00:49you just have to see
00:50someone who looks like you
00:52out there doing it
00:53to be inspired
00:54and Japan has always had
00:55excellent fighters
00:56fighters with a lot of heart
00:59ファイターズが来ると言うことができると言うことができる
01:02と言うことができると言うことができる
01:05ペンギーができると言うことができる
01:09I don't even think that you talk about Inouye in a division
01:12I think you talk about Inouye in a time
01:16His greatness, his attraction
01:19His ability to connect with a big audience
01:23It's not about what division he's in
01:25He transcends his sport
01:29Inouye is without any question
01:33Going to go down in boxing history
01:36As an all-time great
01:39The fact that Inouye is on the pound-for-pound rankings
01:43Just speaks to his prodigious power
01:45His all-around talent and his acumen
01:48And the accolades that he's accomplished
01:49Throughout his career so far
01:51And the monster has roared
01:54He's done it again
01:56He's already a four-division world champion
01:58That's a very, very rare group of people to be with
02:00He is a two-division undisputed champion
02:02So he is really stamping himself historically
02:05As one of the best fighters of a generation
02:07There's a lot to say about what is left in his career
02:10You are watching one of the greatest of all time
02:16Inouye has already made an incredible name for himself
02:19His legacy is secured
02:21Everything for Inouye is within reach
02:23It's whether or not it's interesting enough for him
02:26To actually go and get him
02:28A lot of people like to compare knockout artists
02:45As the mini Mike Tyson
02:46If there ever was a mini Mike Tyson
02:50It's Niohe Inouye
02:51Because every one of his fights
02:53Is almost guaranteed to end in a knockout
02:55Inouye has the whole package
03:00He has the speed
03:03He has the power
03:04He has the ring IQ
03:06The balance
03:07He's a fighter's dream fighter
03:10Inouye can put your lights out
03:12In a half a second
03:13Speed generates power
03:15Here it's speed and power
03:17It's different
03:18It's a special combination
03:19Nio Inouye has it all
03:21He's explosive
03:22He's quick
03:23He's powerful
03:24He'll hunt you down
03:26Every fight for him is must-see TV
03:28Inouye is everything that people say that he is
03:31And the scary part is he's still getting better
03:34Fighters tend to be either superb boxes
03:39Or dynamic punches
03:42Now Inouye combines both
03:46And he always is there with the gun
03:49He shot that off like a rock
03:51That's a lot to deal with
03:52Oh!
03:54Shot right there
03:55Down goes Maloney on a quick counter
03:56He's a search and destroy fighter
03:58He's gonna come at you right away and test you
04:01He's going for the knockout every fight
04:04Oh!
04:06It's a big right hand from Naoya Inouye
04:08It is over
04:10The fact that he has a prolific knockout ratio speaks for itself
04:14That knockout rate is incredible
04:18I don't know anybody that's even come close
04:22His power for sure is definitely like unique but not only that his conditioning he can do it throughout the entire fight
04:31What's really extraordinary about him is the overall precision how everything works in concert so it's not just about raw power
04:40It's about how his feet get him into a place where he can use that raw power
04:44Everything is technically perfect it makes him really the perfect predator
04:49Inouye is coming the monster is coming
04:54The monster Inouye
04:59He is a human highlight reel
05:01When you destroy guys in the ring and you can see that all over the world people just love that
05:07In a way if he wasn't the monster he'd be the body snatcher
05:12He does not give up on the body he's going to the body the entire fight
05:17He's going to the body the entire fight
05:19Knocked down scored by the monster
05:22Liver
05:23Lift hook to the liver
05:24Liver shot
05:25Puts down Desperanis
05:27This technique is close to flawless
05:30He's flawless he's sitting on his punches at the right time or he throws speed at the right time
05:35His balance is crazy
05:37Probably have the best balance in boxing
05:40Three punch combination
05:42Goes back to it again
05:44Oh!
05:45Big time shot to the body by Inouye
05:52It's a beautiful violent symphony the way he moves
05:56Destructive work from the monster
05:59There's no safe place in the ring when Naoya Inouye is a man looking across
06:18The thing about Naoya Inouye is he's a complete package
06:22He likes to entertain
06:23He likes to take risks
06:24He likes to exchange punches
06:26Like that's really a complete fighter for me
06:29I was really impressed in the Nunito Donair rematch
06:37Because I thought he looked undersized the first time they fought
06:39The second time he looked like the bigger man
06:41He was able to put on that muscle
06:43He was putting in the work in the gym
06:45On the road and in the weight room
06:47To actually grow into being a real bantamweight
06:49Nunito Donair and Naoya Inouye
06:51Naoya Inouye
06:53Two virtuosos in the ring present
06:56Poetry of violence
06:58There was dynamite in those punches
07:01And this fight is over
07:03What an impressive knockout victory for the marker
07:07Naoya Inouye a statement victory in his home country of Japan
07:13And wow
07:15Inouye being able to do that deal with a guy like Donair who's so dangerous and so dynamic really speaks to his resilience
07:25Right now Inouye in the boxing world
07:27He's that guy
07:28He's one of the pound for pound greats
07:30If not the number one pound for pound greatest fighter today
07:34And you always think that this performance can't be topped
07:37And that every single fight he does even better
07:40Inouye is one of those fighters that he wants to test himself
07:44And he loves the hardware
07:46He's one of those guys that just says
07:48You got the title
07:50I'm going to set my goals on that

09:25I mean, nowadays, everyone makes excuses after the fights.
09:31Well, he didn't come to fight.
09:32Well, guess what?
09:33Watch what Naoya Inoue did to Paul Butler.
09:36He opens up his third round with a combination.
09:40Butler's in that corner and desperately needs to get out.
09:44The Butler fight,Butler really didn't want to engage with Inoue.
09:50I'm not entirely sure I blame him.
09:52Butler,I don't think he's here to win tonight.
09:54I think he's just here to survive.
09:56That's it.
09:57He's here to survive.
09:58He's not letting his hands go.
09:59He fears the punching power from Inoue.
10:00Look at Inoue.He's having fun.
10:02I think he's one of the best body punchers in the world today.
10:04He's consistent with it.
10:05He has beautiful setups.
10:06He sets traps.
10:07And that's really what it was.
10:08He caught Butler along the ropes.
10:10And was able to dig that left hook to the liver to end the fight.
10:14Right hand to the play is a good one.
10:17And a big right hand that comes in.
10:19Great work for Naoya.
10:21That power of Naoya comes through.
10:23And he gets it done at 11.
10:26That's how you finish an opponent who doesn't want to engage.
10:29Who just wants to survive.
10:31But guess what?
10:32You can't do that against Inoue.
10:33He's a monster.
10:34Foxing's first undisputed bantamweight champion of the world.
10:40Naoya the monster.
10:46The Steven Fulton fight.
10:49That was really the fight that we all had the most questions about Naoya Inoue going in.
10:54Because we'd seen him get in with brawlers.
10:57We'd seen him get into firefights.
10:59But how's he gonna deal with a moving slick fighter who has a little bit of pop.
11:05This was a really interesting matchup.
11:07A lot of people were going into this fight thinking that Fulton could win.
11:12Myself included not saying that he was going to win.
11:14But I could see this style giving Inoue enough trouble where he could actually lose.
11:18Fulton's really good.
11:20He's skilled.
11:21He's tough.
11:22He's talented.
11:23He's a champion.
11:24Another right hand from Inoue backs up Fulton.
11:29He was able to allow Fulton to get his start and then make the correct adjustments.
11:36And once he did that's when Naoya Inoue really shined.
11:40Inoue's making this fight look easy right now against Fulton.
11:45This was the fight that really opened my eyes to how special Inoue is.
11:49Because yeah he's the puncher.
11:51Yes he's the knockout guy.
11:52Fulton's the boxer quote unquote.
11:54But Naoya Inoue was able to completely outbox, befuddle,
11:57and stay one step ahead of Stephen Fulton all night long.
12:00There was never a moment in which the fight seemed in doubt.
12:05Really hard to get in and out.
12:07Right hand hurts him.Oh a huge right hand from the monster.
12:11And then he chases him down.Fulton is laid out struggling to get to his feet.
12:17And he outjabbed Fulton. He outjabbed the boxer.
12:20And the way that he was able to finish him I think just speaks worlds to Inoue and his ability.
12:26That destructive decisive power does it again.
12:31The monster.
12:33A four division world champion.
12:37Stamp it in Tokyo.
12:39So for me that was the breakout moment for Inoue being a pound for pound guy.
12:44You are watching greatness in his absolute prime.
12:49The Marlon Topalas fight. It was about making history.
13:00About becoming a two time undisputed champion within less than a year.
13:11It's not to say it was a foregone conclusion that he was gonna beat Marlon Topalas.
13:15But we all knew that Topalas wasn't on Naoya Inoue's level.
13:19So when I look at that fight it's just grab your lunch pail.
13:24Go to work and do what you have to do.
13:28These are hard shots by Naoya Inoue.
13:31Big left hand to the head.
13:33Napalas was able to land the southpaw jab quite a bit early on.
13:36I wasn't used to Naoya Inoue getting hit so much.
13:38But eventually you could just tell he was starting to close the gap.
13:42Break down Topalas.
13:43I was figuring him out because he's just such a high boxing IQ.
13:47And that power is undeniable.
13:49Here comes Inoue.The monster.
13:53Left hand.Right hand. Topalas is down.
13:57And once he finally got to Topalas.
13:59It was just a matter of time.
14:01And he was able to put him away like he does with most opponents.
14:03Inoue would throw a shot and it hooked.
14:09Big right hand there backed up Topalas.
14:12He's not going to make it up.
14:14Naoya Inoue makes history.
14:18The legend of the monster continues to grow.
14:24Inoue becomes only the second man to be undisputed in multiple weight divisions in the modern era.
14:32History made here in Tokyo.
14:44I am so impressed with Inoue's cultural relevance in Japan.
14:49How he means so much to that country and he connects to a big audience there.
14:54The proof is in the pudding.
14:57He just sold out the Tokyo Dome.
15:00Over 50,000 fans flocked to the arena.
15:03The first boxing fight there since Mike Tyson was upset by Buster Douglas.
15:08So the fact that Naoya Inoue could bring a boxing fight to an arena
15:13That could only hold that magnitude of a fight.
15:16It really speaks to his drawing power.
15:19I couldn't wait to watch the Luis Neri fight because going into that fight,
15:35Neri was really playing up to his role as the villain.
15:39And he actually called Inoue overrated.
15:42And Inoue going into that fight kept it cool, kept it calm, said that it wasn't personal to him.
15:51And he proved it in the ring.
15:52For the Undisputed Junior Featherweight Championship, Luis Neri, Naoya Inoue.
16:00Naoya Inoue, Luis Neri fight, you know that was a super entertaining fight.
16:05Neri comes forward against the monster.
16:07I like that from Neri, it's dangerous.
16:09It was the first time that I had ever seen Inoue look so undersized.
16:16Neri right now doesn't seem spooked by the punching power.
16:19Oh!There it is!
16:22Inoue goes down!
16:24Who is Neri with a first round knockdown of the monster?
16:29Yeah, in that second round when Naoya got dropped.
16:32I mean, it was a massive shock.
16:34And he was hurt.
16:35He was very hurt when he went down.
16:36It wasn't just a flash knockdown.
16:38Oh, okay, yeah, that was footing.
16:39No, he was hurt.
16:40First knockdown suffered of Inoue's career.
16:43New adversity faced for Naoya Inoue.
16:47Once you get knocked down, that changes everything.
16:53Because the fight can go downhill really fast.
16:57Or you can do what Naoya Inoue was able to do and just weather the storm, regroup in the corner, come back and be himself.
17:08Once he knocked him down, it lighted a fire in Inoue.
17:11Every fighter needs that courage.
17:13And his nickname as well, like that monster, to come out of him and show everybody like, don't even play with me like that no more type of attitude.
17:22So, he showed that.
17:23What a shocking start to this undisputed championship fight.
17:29Now, how does the monster react?
17:31Oh, and Inoue returns the favor.
17:34Legend forward.
17:35Nierie came forward, overextended himself, and the monster caught him.
17:41Knockdown scored from Inoue.
17:44Nierie got up, fighting with that Japanese warrior spirit, and right back to the fundamentals.
17:49Went back to what Nierie is all about, and was able to break Neary down.
17:53To come back and drop Ligend ready and say, okay, now we're on even terms.
17:57How's the rest of the fight going to play out?
17:59Oh, look at this!
18:01Little Shoko trying to draw him in and then firing off.
18:04Oh, it's another one that splits the guard.
18:06Inoue on the attack!
18:08Left hook scores the knockdown again!
18:12Here comes the monster!
18:15There's somebody hit!
18:17And Neary has crumbled!
18:20And the monster has roared!
18:23He's done it again!
18:26I know his power is talked about all the time.
18:30He goes by the monster for a reason, but I don't think people understand how much power he truly has.
18:36When I look at the knockout, he put no torque in the punch.
18:40And it still knocked him out cold.
18:43So that shows you just how much power he packs in a solid punch that he's really not throwing with all his force.
18:50So he was blessed with that kind of power.
18:53I feel like that fight, if I want to rank all of them, I would give it to Neary fight.
18:58Just for the fact that he got clipped, dropped to the floor.
19:01First time, everybody's just like, wow.
19:03And then he got up and ended up stopping the dude.
19:05So I give him kudos for that one.
19:07His last fight showed me what is most impressive about him.
19:13And that's his resilience.
19:15He went to the canvas and he was able to get up and knock out his opponent.
19:19And that's what makes a true champion that everyone will remember far beyond after they retire.
19:25Nahoya Monster Inoue!
19:32You know, it's a beautiful thing.
19:37So I know I did not know if the score is truly a great character.
19:40And I told them to be the most impressive, but I tell them all the time.
19:42So a great match.
19:43this is the moment.
19:45and that's at the end.
19:46Yes, this was an excellent match for me.
19:47And I think that was just one of those.
19:49So it was all about what I took.
20:29Naoya the Monster Inoue
20:42Inoue has already made an incredible name for himself
20:48his legacy is secured
20:50the final chapter of his career will come down to whether or not
20:54he's interested in raising his profile even more
20:58and fight in the United States
21:00the money that Naoya Inoue is generating in Japan
21:04means he doesn't have to come to the United States
21:06people have to come to him to fight
21:10the economics of it make it difficult
21:15for Inoue to fight anywhere else but Japan
21:19in front of a sold-out Tokyo Dome
21:24pound for pound elite
21:26he's filling out stadiums in Japan and he's making eight figures in Japan
21:32as a 122 pound fighter so that's going to be his legacy
21:35for someone like Inoue what he's doing now and what he's accomplished
21:44legacy is the perfect word to describe him
21:47I think people don't understand that we're watching one of the greats
21:58one of the actual greats we're able to see it live
22:02Inoue is everything that people say that he is
22:05and the scary part is he's still getting better
22:09Naoya Inoue has planted himself along the likes of Alexander Usyk and Terence Crawford
22:14as the best fighter in the world
22:17you are watching greatness in his absolute prime
22:21I think he'll go down as the greatest ever Japanese fighter
22:25and the monster has roared
22:28there's just something about Naoya Inoue that captures the imagination
22:32not only of his own home country but beyond those borders
22:36the fact that people want to see him here in the United States and are clamoring for him
22:42but come over here I think that's probably the biggest legacy that he's going to leave
22:47for the rest of the Japanese champions who come behind him
22:50from now on just like with Mexican fighters it's he's the next Chavez
23:01with American fighters he's the next Mayweather
23:03with Japanese fighters the measuring stick is going to be he's the next Naoya Inoue
