00:00I had just discovered that echo plex, that when you play, a tape goes round, but once
00:26it goes around after a certain amount of time, you can add another guitar to it, and then
00:33you can add another guitar to it, and wow, that was amazing.
00:37I just made up a chord progression, and then I play, the loop goes around, a harmony, the
01:06harmony, and so on, and I went like, wow, this is great, it sounded so good.
01:13I recorded it on this cheap tape recorder I had, and on the way to Christmas with Phil,
01:20and the others, I remember at the Undercorn station on the escalator, I switched it on.
01:27Hey, listen to this.
01:29Oh, that sounds great.
01:30Hey, Michael, can we meet somewhere?
01:31Can we meet?
01:32And so, Phil came over to my place.
01:33I just moved in there basically, and he came into my place and said, hey, Michael, can we
01:36meet somewhere?
01:37Can we meet?
01:38And so, Phil came over to my place.
01:42I just moved in there basically, and he came into my place, and I remember like, you know,
01:49I had a table here, Phil's sitting over there, I'm sitting over here, so he wanted me to figure,
01:54you know, play the chords without the guitar, so that he had something to figure out the melody,
02:01for his vocals and stuff like that, and so that's what I did, and then he took it home, and then basically,
02:19we have done that with quite a few songs in general, you know, that was kind of our, I would come up,
02:25and Try Me was done exactly the same way.
02:27I wrote an instrumental, and it ended up so good that Phil wanted to take out the instrumental
02:35and just let him hear the chords and see what he can come up with, and he would come up with something
02:40really good, and then we just started him singing over the same chords until we got, you know,
02:45after two verses and choruses, we inserted the instrumental part of the song.
02:55I'm on the road, so far away from you and you and you, baby
03:01I'm on the road, so far away from you
03:07You know, to be honest, Dr. Doctor, I'm not really sure how well people took that song in the beginning,
03:30and I didn't focus on it either, I mean, you know, we were playing gigs, I wasn't there for Dr. Doctor,
03:36I was there because I enjoyed, you know, playing and playing lead guitar and so on, and, you know,
03:45took about ten years before Dr. Doctor did anything, really, because I think once it came,
03:51once it made it on the live album, I think that's when it took off.
03:55Living, I'm on the road, so far away from you, yeah
04:03all right
04:12and I'm on the road,都有
04:14and two
04:15I'm on the road, super cuckoo and big
04:18and incredible
04:31Yeah!
