RONJERA was shocked to learn she was having triplets… Then she found out she was having quadruplets. Ronjera and her husband Carlos had three sons Carlos Jr., 14, Christian, 8 and Cameron, 4 and wanted to try for a daughter. Ronjera said: “We had been hoping and praying for a little girl for about eight years now. I love my boys dearly but I truly wanted to know what it feels like to have a little girl. I surely did not expect quadruplets.” They became a family of nine when the now four-month-old quads Ariyah, Aniyah, Cayden and Carter arrived. When Ronjera shared she was expecting quadruplets online, a lot of people were shocked and questioned if they had gone through fertility treatments. But this was a very rare case of spontaneous conception quadruplets. She said: “Actually, the doctors were asking me if I did any fertility treatments. I’m like ‘wouldn’t it be in my file?’” The family describe day-to-day life as ‘unpredictable’ as they balance looking after their children, work and homeschooling. Ronjera added: “I do not want to have any more kids. I am done, that shop is closed. I wanted one girl, God gave me two and two more boys to love on so I am grateful.”

00:00We tried for a girl and four babies arrived.
00:03Going from three to seven was a huge change for us.
00:05Around seven weeks they told me triplets.
00:08We had already processed it,
00:10and they were like, you're actually having four.
00:12The doctors was asking me,
00:13did I do any fertility treatments?
00:15I'm like, wouldn't it be in my file?
00:16People were saying mean stuff,
00:18saying that we're on government assistance,
00:19just assuming that we're just out here,
00:21just wanna have a million babies.
00:22My friends and family were very shocked.
00:24I'm still shocked.
00:25Y'all got four babies.
00:27I didn't think y'all would have any more kids.
00:29I didn't think y'all would have any more children.
00:33Let me get you a pacifier,
00:34because you about to cut up.
00:35I see it.
00:36Hold back up.
00:37Where'd the pacifier go?
00:39Oh, here it goes.
00:40My name is Ronjara, and I am a mom of quadruplets.
00:46You're in a pacifier for you guys.
00:47Good.
00:49I'm Carla.
00:50That's my mom.
00:52That's my daddy.
00:53I'm gonna find four pieces.
00:55Hm?
00:56Go sit down.
00:57That's Chris and my brother.
00:59And that's my little brother.
01:02And that's all of my siblings.
01:04Did you always want a big family?
01:07I did not.
01:08I did not want a big family.
01:10I think, max, I wanted three kids,
01:12and my husband only wanted one.
01:13So you want chicken nuggets for breakfast?
01:15We got married at 18 and 19 years old.
01:21And so we've literally been raising kids since we got married.
01:24Going from three to seven was a huge change for us.
01:27How does the start of your day compare to before you had clients?
01:32We have to figure out balance, because before, of course,
01:36you know, all of our other kids are older.
01:38So we're able to kind of just get up and go.
01:40Now we've just figured out a method to where she just gets up a little bit earlier
01:44since I'm going to work.
01:45We have truly tried to really lean into each other.
01:48Communication is everything.
01:50When you're finishing your breakfast,
01:52we're gonna start homeschooling, okay?
01:54Well, I got to go to work, so I'll see y'all later.
01:56All right, see you, bitch.
01:58Christian, you are not about to eat all that food.
02:01Yeah.
02:03Day-to-day life is unpredictable,
02:06but I try to at least have a schedule sometimes.
02:10Can gladly take him.
02:11By the time it's time to start school,
02:13the quads have already eight,
02:15then I can go ahead and transition to starting homeschooling,
02:17and typically I'll have to have at least one baby.
02:20Right now, there isn't a, like, great balance between it,
02:24but I just make it work with the time that I have.
02:26Like, right now, they're quiet, they're chill, so let's do school.
02:29Okay.
02:3121 verse 8.
02:33I really enjoy homeschooling,
02:35and I feel like it helps them to be, um...
02:39I keep losing my focus.
02:44So, I remember Carlos just looked at me shocked.
02:47Like, he just looked at me.
02:49And then Christian, he's like,
02:51four plus three, that's seven.
02:53He's like,
02:54why am I gonna have seven babies?
02:56Tell us what your, uh,
02:58new brothers and sisters are like.
03:00Guys, so, they're, like, just sweet.
03:04The boys are amazing.
03:05They love their baby brothers and sisters.
03:06I don't feel like there's any jealousy.
03:08Be gentle.
03:09Be gentle, putting her down.
03:11They help me out a lot around the house.
03:13Most of the time, I don't have to ask.
03:14They truly love doing it.
03:17Good job, Carlos.
03:19How far along were you when you found out
03:25there were gonna be quads?
03:26Around seven weeks, they told me triplets.
03:29We had already processed it.
03:31We was okay with it.
03:32And they were like, um, no.
03:34Um, you're actually having four.
03:36I'm laughing because there's four.
03:38What?
03:39Yeah.
03:42I thought they said three.
03:43No, there's four.
03:45Are you gonna pass out?
03:46I can't handle it.
03:47No.
03:48As soon as they told me, I came home,
03:50and I walked two miles,
03:52and I cried going a mile down and a mile back.
03:55What's wrong?
03:57What's wrong, sweet pea?
03:59I believe it was my husband's response
04:02that truly helped comfort me in that moment.
04:04I was like, what are we gonna do?
04:05And he was like, we're gonna take care of them.
04:07And honestly, it still hasn't hit me yet.
04:09Like, every day, I still look at them,
04:11and I'm just like, I cannot believe I carry quads.
04:14Mr. Dimple Man.
04:15Mr. Dimple Man.
04:16Mr. Dimple Man.
04:17Oh, nice and nice, pretty girl.
04:20I love their outfits.
04:22Is that fun for you?
04:24Yeah, I love Courtney.
04:25Well, especially because I got girls.
04:28After having three boys, that's exciting.
04:30We have been hoping and praying for a little girl
04:33for about eight years now.
04:35I love my boys dearly,
04:36but I truly wanted to know what it feels like
04:39to have a little girl.
04:41I surely did not expect quadruplets.
04:44These are the girls' outfits.
04:45They have matching everything.
04:48And then the boys, I try to coordinate them as well,
04:52a matching shirt.
04:53We get a lot of release support from our online community.
04:57A lot of people help out with donating things.
05:01Before I got pregnant with the quads,
05:02I had an interior designer page,
05:05and I had a page that I would use for my salon doing hair.
05:09She can go in the front.
05:11And then when I got pregnant with the quads,
05:12I realized that I would no longer be able to do hair
05:15or do interior design.
05:17And so I branched off into being a content creator.
05:22When I shared online that I was having quads,
05:24a lot of people were shocked.
05:28I got a lot of people saying, like, no way.
05:30Like, and I'm like,
05:31I wouldn't lie about something like that.
05:33I have a lot of people that ask me,
05:35did I do any fertility treatments or anything like that?
05:40And it was all natural and spontaneous.
05:42The doctors shocked.
05:43Actually, the doctors was asking me,
05:45did I do any fertility treatments?
05:47I'm like, wouldn't it be in my file?
05:49A lot of people think that I'm lying and that I did IVF.
05:52They do not believe it's natural.
05:54People were saying mean stuff,
05:55saying that we're on government assistance
05:57and stop using the government.
05:58And just assuming that we're just out here,
05:59just want to have a million babies.
06:01And that wasn't the case.
06:02I had to be very careful
06:03with not internalizing how people felt towards it,
06:07the negative towards it, and put it on me.
06:08Like, oh, wow, yeah, I am having IVF.
06:10Like, oh, this is shocking.
06:12Like, can I do it?
06:14I'm so grateful that they're all healthy.
06:17I don't take it personally at all.
06:19It's a major change for us, for my family.
06:22Our support system is not that great.
06:25We don't really have much family here at all.
06:28Right now, my friend is able to come over
06:30and help when she can.
06:31We made it.
06:40Hey, sis.
06:42How are you?
06:43Good.
06:44Thank you for coming.
06:50Carter, you're looking real chunky today.
06:51What's up with it?
06:52Is it the brown?
06:55So, friend, remember when I first told you
06:59I was pregnant with quads?
07:00Remember when I called you on the phone?
07:02I didn't think y'all would have any more kids,
07:04so it's like, wow, they're about to have four more
07:07from the three.
07:09I remember you called me, and you was like,
07:11friend, you was like, I don't know.
07:12You was like, this is a blessing.
07:15And you was like, I know it's a lot.
07:17Y'all will be all right.
07:19I definitely have my days where I feel overwhelmed,
07:24and you always constantly send me encouraging words,
07:28and I definitely appreciate it because, yeah,
07:31the weight definitely gets heavy.
07:32It definitely gets heavy, for sure.
07:36But I see your strength, and I know how strong you are.
07:39Even before this, no matter what life throws at you,
07:41you've been powering through it.
07:44I think you are doing a better job
07:45than most people would handle it, you know?
07:47Some people would fall apart.
07:49But even now, you're still getting up,
07:50going for your walks, and taking care of you,
07:52and that's important, you know?
07:54How would you describe it as parents?
07:58Well, they're great parents, you know?
08:02They work well together.
08:04Having four newborns is, like, challenging.
08:07And no matter what, I don't care who you are,
08:09it can be tough, but I think they're amazing parents,
08:11and they're amazing together,
08:13and I wouldn't see a better team doing this,
08:15you know, together.
08:16Yeah, thank you.
08:17It's still unbelievable.
08:18I know.
08:19Y'all got four babies.
08:21It's insane.
08:23For the future, I see us on acres of land.
08:28I just see a lot of laughter and joy and connections.
08:32I like to just see them grow like it's four babies,
08:34and they all have their different milestones.
08:36I don't know, I just love them.
08:38Would you like to have any more children?
08:40No.
08:42I do not want to have any more kids.
08:45I am done.
08:46That shop is closed.
08:47I wanted one girl.
08:48God gave me two, and two more boys to love on,
08:51so I am grateful.
09:12With all my children.
09:20And theП came in, and it really fit over your energy plan.
09:23So that's how we made more families to enjoy those things.
09:28What we can do is please wait until we fix the table we fit on the table.
09:32For the people who put that family for the table,
09:34and care for you, near the table,
09:35it's lovely or you see at our table,
09:37so we'll sit on an acha of the table.
