Transcript
00:00Okay, Vicky, so you're celebrating your 80th birthday on the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
00:07I am, yes.
00:08How does that feel?
00:09Very good, very good.
00:11And it's always very nice because the flags fly on my birthday, but they're not flying from me, they're flying to commemorate VE Day.
00:19I suppose when you were younger, when you were a little girl, you probably thought the flags were out for you.
00:23I did, yes.
00:24When I was much older, I began to realise I wasn't so important as I thought I was.
00:28I'm sure you are.
00:30So have you got any plans for you going to...
00:32Yes, I was born in East Yorkshire in a little village.
00:36Yes.
00:36So I'm going to go back there on the 8th of May and I'm going to join the British Legion as they raise the flag, the commemorative flag.
00:47Well, I would think you're a guest of honour, aren't you?
00:49I'll be with members of my family as well, so that will be very nice.
00:53We'll have a lovely time anyway.
00:55I will do, yes.
00:56Yes.
00:56Yes.
