00:53:10okay so I want to start off this final thought of saying that Mrs. Smith Mrs. Mary Han Smith is the
00:53:19greatest principal but the one as I mean has has ever had okay I'm gonna say she was my principal for
00:53:28three years when I was going to Stuart R Bradley she started she started at at at at at Stuart R Bradley
00:53:38the the school year of 1994 1995 school year okay so I was in the fourth grade at the time you know
00:53:47yep I was at the fourth I was in the fourth grade at the time that that that's my third to the last year
00:53:53of of of me going to Stuart R Bradley okay I mean she she's a very fun principal you know her first year
00:54:03uh we we had a we had a birthday luncheon she entertained the parents and the students you know
00:54:10I'm saying having a second happy birthday and everything you know and you know the teachers that was there
00:54:18at the time like Ms. Gougies Ms. Derrizay uh and Ms. Fole Ms. Butler uh Ms. Barton Ms. Cager Ms. Sharlow and and and and and Ms. Clanton and and and and the former librarian
00:54:35Ms. Ms. Barbara Brooks was uh uh may she rest in peace you know and and Ms. Barbara Clanton may she rest in peace okay
00:54:44they did they did they really enjoyed her uh uh be being a principal you know and and and I had a teacher
00:54:51named Ms. Bowman you know she also enjoyed Mrs. Smith you know the whole staff including including
00:54:58the teachers that started there her first year enjoyed her you know and I am I am very grateful
00:55:07especially the the the teacher Ms. Walthall I don't know you well as a matter of fact
00:55:12Mrs. Smith do remember Ms. Walthall okay and Ms. Augustine and Ms. T. Williams and our
00:55:18guidance counselor Ms. C. Williams okay
00:55:23yep and uh and you know unfortunately to that they did they did they had some teachers some people
00:55:30that was there Mrs. Smith's first year that they've been there with Mrs. Cade left uh uh uh uh
00:55:36after her first year you know and uh and uh and some like two or three teachers that those that started
00:55:44her first year had also left you know all right so that's all I would like to say about that I mean
00:55:53Mrs. Smith well that's not all okay she she gave us what she gave the students now you know gave us candy
00:56:02candy here candy there and stuff like that like I'm talking about for Christmas and stuff like that
00:56:07there's Showtime at the Apollo hell I remember that okay a long show I I don't know if I'm pronouncing
00:56:15that right you know a a a nice show a long a long show or whatever well I I don't understand a long show
00:56:23you know yeah like like a get along show what I mean whatever she she meant you know I I mean I
00:56:31ain't understood what she's saying honestly I mean I thought she said alarm show or a long show or whatever

00:56:46y'all students are very smart I congratulate every last student at Bethune, Bethune Eagles you know I
00:56:57followed the page on on on on Instagram you know I really enjoy seeing all the activities that have
00:57:05been going on I'm very pleased of of the lessons and the learning that y'all students have done I'm
00:57:12proud of each and every one of y'all I don't know who y'all students are okay I don't know none of y'all
00:57:18but I'm proud of every last one of y'all okay okay and and I I hope and pray that y'all students
00:57:27become the best that y'all can be so I don't know if I remember the the pledge of respect when I was uh
00:57:34coming up okay so let me let let me see if I can remember okay pleasure respect I am the most important

01:00:29best that y'all can be y'all could be a doctor y'all could be a lawyer a politician okay if you if you keep
01:00:36your word all right you could be a mayor you could be a president you know it's possible you can be
01:00:42president of the United States you can you can work for the senate like like uh like Bill Cassidy is doing
01:00:49you know and be mayor like like Latoya Cantrell and and and like uh like Mitch Landrieux used to be you
01:00:57you know okay you could be whatever you set your mind to okay you you you could be you you could be
01:01:05president of mcdonald's whatever churches or whatever whatever you set your mind to okay
