00:00Yeah, of course, I think it was a really good performance, probably our best bowling and fielding performance of the tournament so far.
00:07And it's something that we really talked long and hard about in training and in the meetings.
00:11So to come out there and start so well, yeah, it was a very good performance.
00:21Obviously, it's disappointing.
00:23We came in with high hopes, but we just haven't been consistent enough with our performances.
00:28And I've spoken to you guys a number of times around just not being able to put complete performances together.
00:33And today was the start of a complete performance.
00:35So it's frustrating that we couldn't finish it.
00:37But that's cricket.
00:47I think if you look at his overall performance, he's been able to be a wicket taker.
00:52He's bowled a number of different roles for us.
00:54And he's been able to mix and match depending on who's selected in the team.
00:59And today, I think the first time he took the new ball, took the first over.
01:03And you can see why he's such a dominant test match bowler when he gets that opportunity.
01:07So pleasing for him to be able to turn up today and bowl so well and lead the team exceptionally well.
01:12So hopefully that carries on to the last three games of the season.
01:21It's obviously been a tough season so far for Shami, but he's working exceptionally hard in the background.
01:27And we just saw, particularly on this Hyderabad wicket, that this was the best makeup of the team for us.
01:33Thanks, guys.
01:41Just obviously Shami coming out of the team.
01:44Pat's a tremendous new ball bowler.
01:47Normally he sort of plays a bit of a Mr. Fix-It role for us in terms of being able to jump all over the power play, the middle, the depth.
01:54And today it was just a nice opportunity to give him the new ball and go at them.
01:59And he was fantastic tonight.
02:02My question is, after every match, you backed up your aggressive approach and said that you skipped away.
02:07Now that I started just over the playoffs, when you look back, do you think you could have agreed to approach somewhere in the course of the season?
02:14I definitely didn't say after every match.
02:16I was backing an aggressive approach.
02:17I said we're about assessing conditions.
02:20And I think this year the conditions weren't as we expected.
02:25I think if you look to last year, there were a number of high-scoring games here.
02:27And these surfaces in particular have been a little bit different.
02:31So it has been tricky.
02:32It hasn't been easy for the batters.
02:34And all we've talked about is just assessing conditions and trying to read the game and understand what to do in certain situations.
02:40So I think the guys are innately aggressive.
02:44But it's certainly this season has been about trying to establish what's required on the day.
02:48I think there's been two surfaces that have been the 250+, and then there's been another, how many games we played?
03:12I think four here that have been probably more conducive for the fast bowlers.
03:18Not so much the spinners, but new ball, been a little bit sticky, hard to hit, not coming onto the bat.
03:23And I think the bowlers you mentioned are some of the best new bowlers in the world, and they've been able to exploit those conditions.
03:30Thanks.
03:30What is his what?
03:39Yeah.
03:43Yeah, no, I've really enjoyed him.
03:46He's a natural leg spinner, understands his game, good aggressive bowler.
03:50Once again, conditions haven't suited him that often, but he always competes, always in and on the game.
03:55And so he's a real find for us this season.
