00:00As the countdown to May 12 intensifies, the final batches of ballots are now being dispatched across Metro Manila.

00:07With just six days to go, the Comlec ensures everything is on track,

00:11save for a twist in Laguna as three men posing as election officials are arrested for trying to tamper with sensitive election materials.

00:19Luisa Arispe has the full report.

00:23Before 8 in the morning, the Commission on Elections started pulling out ballots from the National Printing Office.

00:28This is the last batch of ballots to be deployed for the 2025 midterm elections and is bound to be distributed in Metro Manila.

00:37Kung sinisigurado ng komisyon na maaga ang distribution at may ilang araw pa bago pa mag-eleksyon,

00:44na naanjanay mga balota na naka-standby para lang masigurado na protectado, secure yung mga balota po natin.

00:52This last batch consists of 7.5 million ballots in total.

00:56For today, these will be deployed in Caloocan, Marikina, Pasig, Valenzuela among others.

01:02And for tomorrow, it is headed to reach Muntinlupa, Taguig, Pateros and all the remaining cities in NCR.

01:09According to the Comlec, this only means they are on track and on schedule in its deployment timetable of all election paraphernalia.

01:18Wala pong untoward incident, wala pong tayong naging problema sa deployment,

01:22hindi lamang na mga balota kung hindi nung iba pang eleksyon paraphernalia, katulad na mga ACM, mga bateriya at iba pang gamit.

01:30With just six days before the elections, the poll body is almost done with its preparations.

01:35The only thing remaining is final testing and sealing, which has been extended until May 8,

01:40and the enrollment of the overseas voting and counting system, which was also extended to May 10.

01:45Six days away, kung napansin nyo, hindi ganon kabigat na yung mga natin tira nating mga paghahanda.

01:55Ito, monitoring na lang, supervision, and then reporting na lang more or less ang hinihintay natin doon sa mga nagawa na natin.

02:03While preparations are in place, Comlec vows it will be after the perpetrators during elections.

02:08As a matter of fact, the police in Santa Cruz, Laguna, arrested three men who allegedly presented themselves as employees of the commission under Task Force Contrabigay.

02:20They were trying to inspect the automated counting machines.

02:23Ang ginagawa nila doon sa lugar, doon sa lugar mismo kung saan nakaimbak sa Santa Cruz, Laguna, yung mga machine.

02:32Anong-anong purpose nila doon? At tayo po kami papayag na basta-basta ganyan na lang.

02:36Ganon may mga nababalitan na nagbebenta sa buong bansa na mga nakaya daw nila, allegedly,

02:44na gawa ng paraan ang ating mga, ang ating mga, ang ating mga, ang ating eleksyon.

02:48Pwede nilang ipanalo basta magbabayad ng milyon na piso.

02:52The Kamelek assures to dig deeper on the incident and is all set to file charges against the three men in police custody.
