00:00:00Hello friends, welcome to Human RG 223 1.1. Happy Tuesday.
00:00:08Yes, so after taking a nap I drove to Point Mackenzie.
00:00:13Yes, for like basically running, walking, hiking.
00:00:17And then my car got stuck in the side of the dirt road and I called AAA.
00:00:25And they dispatched me, great towing company with very modern equipment.
00:00:34The personnel and great professional and he extracted my car from the dirt road.
00:00:40And it's very, very, very cool stuff.
00:00:43Like it's like two ways and the metallic cable, two ways to connect to the two wheels and then the extraction.
00:00:51Okay, very cool stuff. Okay.
00:00:53And the gentleman kindly also told me about good spot to fish, good lakes to fish.
00:01:04And also the fact that there are bears in the neighborhood in Point Mackenzie this time of year.
00:01:11So yeah, I'm very grateful. Thank you.

00:09:04You're going to leave their
00:09:05head a minute.
00:09:06Oh,
00:09:07店.
00:09:08You.
00:09:09You're going to...
00:09:10Good.
00:09:11You're going to...
00:09:12Looks good.
00:09:13You're probably good.
00:09:14I'm really rich.
00:09:15Looks good.
00:09:16You.
00:09:17Great.
00:09:17It's good.
00:14:48Yeah, I did explore the area a little bit, and I got something.
00:14:54Okay, I'll show you.
00:14:55You see, yeah, it's a cut wood, kind of like the stock trunk, right?
00:15:09Yeah.
00:15:10Yeah, I use it as some kind of like a carpentry desk, I guess.
00:15:17Yeah, yeah.
00:15:24Yeah, okay, yeah.
00:15:25Yeah.
00:15:26Yeah.
00:15:27Oh, yeah.
00:15:36Yeah, yeah.
00:15:37Yeah, yeah.
00:15:38Yeah, yeah.
00:15:40Yeah.
00:15:41Yeah, yeah, that's just what it looks like, okay.
00:15:51Yeah, yeah.
00:15:53Yeah.
00:15:54Yeah, yeah.
00:15:55Yeah.
00:15:56Yeah.
00:15:57Yeah.
00:15:58Yeah.
00:15:59Yeah.
00:16:00Yeah.
00:16:01Yeah.
00:16:02Yeah.
00:16:03Yeah.
00:16:0410, 10, 10, okay, so
00:16:0710
00:16:17I think it's about 100 years old
00:16:22About 80 to 100 years, okay, the annual rings, okay, nice
00:16:28All right
00:16:31Yeah, it's caught on both sides
00:16:34Okay
00:16:36Okay, yeah
00:16:38Main trunk
00:16:40Yeah, they left it there, okay, yeah, so
00:16:42I saw several, but this is size
00:16:44Not too big, not too small, it's about the right size, okay, so, yeah
00:16:48So I got something, okay, nice
00:16:53And this very tall cell phone tower, but
00:16:57It would be radio tower, I guess
00:16:59It could be both cell phone and radio tower, I don't know, okay
00:17:03Okay, but because of that, although it's very raw, the radio reception is actually better than here
00:17:14Yeah
00:17:16In my car, okay, yeah, radio reception
00:17:18So the way they
00:17:20Fixed it is
00:17:22To attach this
00:17:23Metallic cable
00:17:25Right?
00:17:26Tension
00:17:28So that it doesn't like swim, you know
00:17:30Yeah
00:17:34Yeah, nice pond
00:17:36Reflection, reflection of the sky, blue sky, some clouds
00:17:39Yeah
00:17:48Nice carvert
00:17:51That go beneath the asphalt road
00:17:55To let the water flow, you know
00:17:56Yeah, nice
00:17:57Nice
00:18:03Yeah, this point Mackenzie road, when there was nobody
00:18:06Okay, yeah
00:18:07Nice
00:18:11That's that
00:18:15Okay
00:18:17Now let me start cooking my dinner, okay
00:18:18Yeah, and I will take five minutes break, thank you
00:18:20Nice
00:18:22Yeah, spring
00:18:24Time
00:18:25Hiking
00:18:26Road trip
00:18:27How nice
00:18:28Okay
00:18:35Thanks
00:18:36Luke
00:18:37No sit
00:18:42I'm sorry
00:18:43No
00:18:44It's
00:18:45Yeah
00:18:46The
00:18:49Ito
00:18:52Okay, this was incidents
00:26:26When it comes to the Alaska University, there are a group of professionals there too, like the low professors there, like writing academic articles about like statistics, yeah, to helping out the legal parts of Alaska, okay?
00:26:44Yeah, yeah, I'll do that.
00:26:46Yeah, I read some papers, okay?
00:26:50Yeah, I read some of them.
00:26:51I read some of their papers.
00:26:52Current and former faculty members.
00:26:53Okay.
00:26:54yeah, I appreciate it. Okay, so I guess we can continue this question of law, case
00:27:09law, okay, common law, yeah, judge-made law, that's what they call it, but not
00:27:14exactly judge-made law, okay, it's more like, like, we're talking about like a
00:27:20Supreme Court level, both state and federal level, Supreme Courts, the precedence, okay,
00:27:26yeah, and it's not like judge-making those laws, actually, it's like parties in a lawsuit,
00:27:36also the attorneys, jurors, trial court judges, we are all making together, and then
00:27:45Supreme Court judges, justices, yeah, it's all collaboration, collective ideas crystallizing
00:27:52to case law, precedence, okay, yeah, it's collaboration, because when judges or
00:28:04justices write their opinions, rulings, it's based on attorney's arguments, both
00:28:11defendants' side, plaintiffs' side, okay, okay, they basically pick and choose the best
00:28:17arguments from both sides, and come up with a ruling, okay, yeah, hmm, but case law,
00:28:32judge-made law, common law, that's more flexible, because they, many times they
00:28:37overturned previous rulings, precedence, okay, yeah, for example, yeah, Roe vs. Wade,
00:28:44the use of abortion, it got overturned a couple years ago, right, yeah, and it can, it
00:28:52can get overturned again, okay, it's based on the, basically, the politics of the day,
00:28:59majority opinion of the people, okay, yeah, so judges, justices, they tend to respect people's
00:29:13opinions, mainstream, majority opinion of the people, which is kind of like democracy,
00:29:20but it's not necessarily a bad thing, okay, but it's not necessarily a good thing either,
00:29:25because sometimes in democracy, majority, mainstream opinion of the people, could be wrong, sometimes,
00:29:33okay, yeah, now, need some vocalist, okay, yeah, I wash my linen, like bad shit, blankets,
00:29:48so let me put them there, okay, yeah, five minutes break, okay, thank you, okay, okay, yeah,
00:29:56the, dry now, I have to tumble dry, okay,
00:30:18the ти chest按ers, okay, yeah, the thank you, okay, yeah, I have to tumble dry, okay,
00:30:30obviously, as well, all the last weeks again, it will look like for you, okay, yes,
00:30:35you, okay, yeah, it's on campus.
00:30:38You got tremendous debt, right, right, yeah, you should pay us off that low because you
00:30:41pay him as well as over, okay, yeah, I do need any short roz!!
00:39:16So, yeah, legislators, the elected officials, they come up with some bills.
00:39:22If the bill passes in the House and Senate, then it becomes, and if the governor or president
00:39:29sign it, they don't sign it, they don't sign it, they don't sign it, they don't sign it, they
00:39:31don't sign it, then unless they veto it, then it becomes a law, statute, state level, federal
00:39:36level, okay?
00:39:37So, yeah.
00:40:07categorize law is dualism, two subcategories, okay? Civil law versus criminal law, okay?
00:40:15So it's a different axis, y axis, x axis, okay? And judge-made law, common law, case law,
00:40:28two subcategories, civil law versus criminal law. Statutory law, same thing. In statutory law,
00:40:35there are civil laws and criminal laws, okay? So four quadrants, okay? Then what is civil law
00:40:52versus criminal law? Okay, criminal law is like this. In criminal law, crime, it could be bad
00:41:03crimes, a felony. It's like more than $1,000 fine and more than one year in jail time.
00:41:11Those are felonies, serious crimes, okay? Less, $1,000 or less, one year jail time or less,
00:41:19misdemeanors, okay? And below that is called infraction. It's like parking ticket,
00:41:31speed violation. Those are less serious than misdemeanors. It's called infractions. This is
00:41:41a violation of laws. Like in some states, some cities, yeah, jaywalking. Okay? Or parking ticket,
00:41:52parking violation, or like speed violation, those are infractions. Or not stopping at the start sign,
00:42:00by mistake running the red light, traffic light, those are infractions. Less serious than misdemeanors.
00:42:08Okay? Then, some examples.
00:42:16Uh, battery. Well, battery and assault, uh, okay, assault back in the days is like a thread of battery.
00:42:32What is battery? Uh, battery is, uh, in criminal setting, well, there's civil side of battery and criminal side battery.
00:42:39Uh, battery is basically hitting somebody. Unwanted, non-consensual. There are some exceptions,
00:42:49like, pugilism, boxing match. That's not battery. Why? Because it's consensual. Like, sparring martial arts.
00:42:59Like, sparring martial arts. They're consensual. They're consented to fight in a more controlled, regulated fashion.
00:43:10They have rules. Like jujitsu, boxing, taekwondo, karate. They have rules. Okay?
00:43:18Okay. Yeah. So that's, it's not battery. Battery is like, non-consensual hitting.
00:43:30Like, how about street fights? Well, in some states it's illegal, because street fights are too dangerous.
00:43:42In dojo, in martial setting, it is legal, because it's controlled environment. Boxing gloves, some pad, padded costume. Okay? Yeah.
00:43:58They need to get license. They are required to get license for it. Like grandmasters, black belts. Okay? Yeah. The masters. Okay? Yeah.
00:44:10Okay. Martial schools. Okay? Yeah. Very regulated.
00:44:19And, um, to be safe. Okay? Yeah.
00:44:30Uh-huh.
00:44:34So, on the criminal side, yeah, uh, battery or assault.
00:44:37Assault. Assault, back in the day, it used to mean threat of battery. Battery, actual heating.
00:44:44Assault, like threat of heating. Okay? Back in the day, that's how it was back in the day.
00:44:50But nowadays, battery, assault, these days mean the same thing.
00:44:55It means, like, basically, violence. Okay? Yeah.
00:44:58No consensual. Okay? So, there's criminal side, like, that kind of results in injury.
00:45:11Okay? Civil side, it's, um, less serious than that. Even if there's no injury, unwanted touching.
00:45:20Like, sexual in nature. It's called sexual assault.
00:45:32No consensual. Offensive touching. It doesn't have,
00:45:36not have to be sexual in nature. Okay? Just very unpleasant kind of touching, like,
00:45:41And, in civil side, it's called battery. Unwanted touching. Like,
00:45:52Like, some random stranger, doing, like, this, yeah, then it's, it's, like, uh, in civil side,
00:46:07it's called battery. Okay, so, criminal law versus civil law. Let's make some distinction there.
00:46:16Okay? Sure. After five minutes break. Okay? Let me make my bed some more. Okay?
00:46:27Because I have so many blankets, uh, tomorrow I wash some more blankets tomorrow. Okay?
00:46:33I'm doing steps, graduation. Okay? So, five minutes break. Okay? Thank you.
00:46:39Also, I cook some dinner, some more. I put some vegetables in there. Okay.
00:46:46Yeah, five minutes. Thank you. Let's get some ventilation.
00:47:16Okay?
00:47:21Okay.
00:47:22Thank you so much.
00:47:34Okay.
00:47:35Bye, bye.
00:47:38Okay.
01:01:09Yeah.
