00:00Yeah, come in.
00:03OK, fellas, if a cold break, I expect you to step back.
00:06Don't deliberately throw punches around the back of the head.
00:08Protect yourselves at all times. Touch gloves. Good luck, lads.
00:11But while Thomas Treiber was giving the introductions,
00:14Daniel Dubois turned up at ringside.
00:18Daniel's professional debut back in 2017 was in Manchester.
00:22He dispatched Marcus Kelly in a round.
00:26I wonder what we're going to get from Delicious Ore in this same city.
00:31The man born in Russia, but has lived in the Midlands for a long time.
00:36University student, former basketball player.
00:40He toyed with the idea of going into the WWE,
00:43but he's chosen boxing as a professional.
00:46And he cracks a right hand straight away on Milos Belich.
00:50And is he going to get this over in double quick time?
00:53Yeah, I think he might. He's got razor-sharp hands, really digs with that right hand.
00:59Quick feet, you can see, taking the step out.
01:01And Belich under big pressure already in this contest.
01:05I'm loving this for Mori, because as an amateur, he was really bouncy on his toes.
01:08And I thought he might struggle with getting Purgis on his punches.
01:12But look how wide his stance is, and look how positive he is.
01:15He's sliding in the distance, can put him with that right hand.
01:18That's a great spot, Barry, and he's planting his feet, trained by Grant Smith,
01:23one of the hottest in the business at the moment from the Steel City in Sheffield.
01:29And Delicious Ore finding the room and trying to deliver that technique.
01:35And there again is the right hand, and he's trying to take out Velich in this first round.
01:41Make a statement.
01:42Look how he's pressuring him with the front foot, but he's sitting on the back foot there.
01:47So he's trying to...
01:49Hard to hit there for Velich, so if he comes forward, there's nothing to hit.
01:52And also he can push off that back leg and get all the perches in that right hand.
01:55Yeah, and he takes a little step as well to his right, and it's just walking Velich onto that right hand.
02:01Velich looking very fleshy around the midriff, and he's having to cover up his body.
02:10Mati Harris took him out in a round.
02:13Will Delicious Ore do the same?
02:15Minute 15 left in this first round of Delicious Ore's professional career.
02:20This is a double jab to close the gap there, Ore.
02:23I grab a little jab up, jab down, and I just drop the hands in there.
02:26Then he can come up with that right hand.
02:28Fully turned right into the shot, and I think it might be good night.
02:31It's tough, though.
02:32Desperate to impress in front of Frank Warren.
02:35I think he's been nice and calm.
02:36I think he's been a good approach here.
02:38Has he got too carried away?
02:41Yeah, he's going to want to look good.
02:42He's going to want to impress.
02:44You only get one debut, but I think he's settled down now.
02:47After the first couple of minutes, you can see now he's just not rushing his work at all.
02:50He's not getting desperate with that right hand.
02:54Still plenty of time here.
02:55So he's just getting the rhythm behind that jab, and everything will follow.
02:59And just edging close.
03:01Delicious Ore had a chat with him a couple of hours ago.
03:03He was so relaxed and really excited about getting this going.
03:08What a time to be a heavyweight in the world of boxing at the moment.
03:13Just got to be careful.
03:14He doesn't go right hand too happy here.
03:16Use that jab a little bit more.
03:17Heavy shot.
03:18You can bust him up with that left hand.
03:21It's been a good first round here for Ori.
03:24Chop to his shoulder.
03:25Chop to his shoulder.
03:26Chop to his shoulder.
03:27Yeah, just pouring with a jab, and it's an Ori.
03:29Oh, no.
03:30Oh, no.
03:31All done, Ash?
03:32Yep.
03:33And not just with the playground.
03:34With the help of Xero accounting software, I can keep my cash flow flowing.
03:44Woo!
03:45By giving my customers more ways to pay.
03:48Thanks, Ash!
03:49Plus, I can see what's coming in and going out.
03:53Woo!
03:54So I can focus on growing my business.
03:58It's business supercharged!
04:04So it's zero with an X!
04:07Yes!
04:08Yeah, Pete.
04:09What do I do?
04:10What?
04:11Leg strength.
04:12Break the guard with the legs like we've been doing it.
04:1410 decades to this!
04:16Boom!
04:17Boom!
04:18Boom!
04:19Yeah, come here.
04:20All right?
04:21Yeah?
04:22Good.
04:23Break the guard.
04:24And then chop the man's in.
04:25The new partnership of Grant Smith, the Delicious Ore.
04:28He was just telling Grant that he was overreaching a bit in that first round,
04:32and I think that is probably that wish to impress Daniel Dubois turns up.
04:38So many heavyweights in Frank Warren's stable,
04:42and Delicious wants to make that impact.
04:45Of course he does.
04:46He wants to be the next star of this division.
04:49Yeah, started this round well, behind the jab.
04:52Like I say, everyone can follow.
04:54That right hand will follow.
04:55Grant's obviously pointed out.
04:56Velocity is moving always to his left-hand side.
04:59He's walking onto that right hand, and I mentioned that little step of the right.
05:03He can exaggerate that movement a little, then throw the right hand,
05:06and I'm sure he'll have more success.
05:08Lovely little fake with the front foot there from R.A. before he threw that jab.
05:12And again, see, in this division more than any other, the jab is not just a range fight,
05:16it's a weapon.
05:17You can use that to set every attacker behind that left hand.
05:21That's better.
05:22Absolutely.
05:23Lennox Lewis, what a jab he had.
05:25And you think of other British heavyweights.
05:27This one-step opposite of Daniel Dubois, his left hand is a weapon of its own runs.
05:31Phenomenal jab, doesn't he?
05:32Dubois, Tyson Fury, A.J. not bad either.
05:35Right to the body there from Delicious Oray, who is a really good amateur,
05:41and he's worked hard to get into the sort of condition he needs.
05:48Looks the right size, as Adi was saying, for a heavyweight in this era.
05:52Yeah, and he's quick as well.
05:54Decent size, as you say.
05:55The feet are really, really quick, and that's important in this division.
05:58I like to see him step in twice.
06:00Let's see Velocity leans back, he takes a step back.
06:03That's where you can bring your feet in and mount another attack.
06:08Just a bit wild, and a wry smile through the gum shield from Delicious Oray.
06:14That's okay, if you miss with that right hand, just come back with the left hook.
06:17You've got a guy here who's very negative, so he's not going to be looking at the counter.
06:22So you can come back with that left hook, you can be a bit more adventurous.
06:24Don't worry, you won't be afraid to miss.
06:28He's gone the distance with a couple of prospects.
06:30Florian shorts, Peter Naylor has Velotic.
06:34So when he gets into a fight, he can sometimes survive.
06:39He's just got to bring his feet in, Oray.
06:41Step him, double jab right hand, then let the right go.
06:45And as you say, Barry, the left hook on the end, he can finish up with a right hand again.
06:48I just think it's another attack.
06:50Don't look for just the one single right hand.
06:53And I think that jab up and down is going to work a treat if he gets into play.
07:01For Velotic to read his rhythm, see, that's all he'll do.
07:03And all he'll think is like, just ride the shots.
07:05And that's it with that professional experience of the ten fights he's had.
07:12The man from Bosnia, Herzegovia, Miloš Velotic.
07:20Just trying to frustrate Deliziozori here at the end of the second.
07:23.
07:33.
07:38.
07:45.
07:46.
07:49.
08:51So, you know, for a world-class amateur, every mistake you make, you get paid.
08:55You pay for it.
08:56Even if it's not loads of power, they score off it.
08:59So, that's ingrained in him.
09:01So, you've got to almost not get that out of him, but you've got to realise they're technically
09:05not as good as they were as an amateur at this stage.
09:07So, you can be a bit more adventurous and use that physical advantage you have and your
09:11strength and your power to intimidate your opponent.
09:13Because he still used to thinking, if I miss with the jab here, I'm going to get caught
09:16so I can't throw it.
09:18Everything doesn't have to be perfect at this stage of his career.
09:20You can make mistakes, just not silly things.
09:22This feels so alien as well.
09:25Even though he's had, you know, lots and lots of, like, tons and tons of fights, he's
09:29travelled the world.
09:30When you make your debut, there's a big crowd.
09:32The lights are on you, the cameras.
09:34It feels strange.
09:35So, every single round that he has will be a learning experience.
09:41He's definitely increased the pace here.
09:44Delicious, all right.
09:45Good jab there, Favardi.
09:46Just missed with the right hand, but there's a right idea.
09:50Don't be afraid to throw it.
09:53Just like the same step with the jab.
09:54So, that front foot and the jab work together.
09:56So, it's really step with it.
09:58You've got the range to be a bit more adventurous with that shot.
10:01DJ, move the middle of your legs.
10:03Yeah, just go and go again.
10:05Now, you throw another one-two.
10:06Lovely, that's good work.
10:08Just bring the feet in, yeah.
10:10You know that, you felt that, because he threw some punches back.
10:14You can throw them all day.
10:17You can throw them all day, since Grant Smith, who's shouting out instructions from the blue court.
10:23He might get told off by Steve Gray, the ref.
10:25Yeah, another thing with Velocic, he's leaning back on that right hand every single time.
10:29The body stays where it is.
10:30He's headhunting a lot.
10:32I'd like to see him just target that body.
10:34Really whip the right in, round that left elbow.
10:37And that's where Oro needs to just change the rhythm.
10:39And he's one-two to change the rhythm, so give a little bit more of a gap.
10:41It sounds silly to say, but when you throw the jab, Velocic steps back a bit.
10:45Just wait a half a second, then throw the right hand.
10:49Trying to double the jab, and there's the right from Oro.
10:52Grant Smith really wants him to turn through the shot, punch through the target.
11:06In doing that, he's just telegraphing the shot a little.
11:09You can see Velocic just knows how to take the sting out of the shot.
11:12He leans back.
11:13He turns the shoulder, the head.
11:16Get behind the jab.
11:18Yep, that's that little bit of experience from the visitor.
11:25Frustrating, Oro's.
11:27Desperate to get that jab flowing.
11:30Meanwhile, Ali has caught up with Khalil Majid, the winner from earlier.
11:35Khalil, what a performance.
11:39What a fight to open the show tonight.
11:41How are you feeling about that 10-round walk?
11:43Yeah, honestly, I first and foremost want to thank the Almighty for the victory.
11:46I want to thank Queen's Bion, Frank and George for giving me the opportunity.
11:49And most importantly, my supporters.
11:50I had over 1,000 people coming tonight.
11:52And, you know, when it got hard in there, it spurred me out and it kept me going.
11:55So, big thank you for that.
11:57Just talk us through the fight.
11:59It was back and forth throughout, and the first time you've gone the 10-round distance.
12:02Yeah, it's my first time.
12:03I mean, I just listened to my coach buddy, and we had to change the plan in the fight
12:07because we didn't expect him to come forward, but he came forward.
12:09And it's good, it made for an exciting fight.
12:11Yeah, it certainly did.
12:12Fan-favourite fight.
12:14What is next for you?
12:15Now you've had that, what are you looking at?
12:17Frank Warren just walked past you, looking for maybe more bigger fights on this platform.
12:21We have Uncle Frank and my team, I've planned.
12:23And that's what I'll do.
12:24But last but not least, I want to say as well, one of the reasons why it was so important
12:27with the Celtic today was, I want to give a big thanks to Christie's Hospital
12:30who supported my mother the last year, and many families, you know.
12:34I said in one of my previous posts that my ticket commission, I'll donate it all to Christie's
12:38charities, and a massive thank you to them because they're the real heroes.
12:41Well, well done.
12:42And well done in the ring tonight.
12:44Thank you, appreciate that.
12:45Yeah, lovely words there, and a really good fight to start us off on this heavy impact night.
12:52And it's delicious, Oré, into the final session of the short sprint distance.
12:57It's tough four-rounders, aren't they, Darren?
12:59Yeah, they are.
13:00It's what he's used to, you know, the shorter form at the three rounds.
13:03But, you know, when you've got his kind of pedigree behind him, they usually start on six,
13:08but he'll be desperate to get the finish here.
13:13But more importantly, just get the win and crack on and be busy.
13:16That's the most important thing with Delicious, Oré.
13:19And to be fair, they didn't pick an opponent to fall over,
13:21and they didn't pick an opponent to beat him either, like they shouldn't.
13:25But this is a guy here who knows how to survive, but he is quite negative,
13:28so he sits back on that back foot.
13:30So it makes it quite difficult for you.
13:32Nice right hand from Oré. Caught him there.
13:35Can he go through the combinations here?
13:38Velozic.
13:39There was stopped by Matty Harris, who I saw last night in a round,
13:44so he could fall under pressure.
13:48Just headhunting far too much.
13:50And again, we'll forgive him. It is his debut.
13:53You want to look good, you want to get that show real knockout.
13:56But that body is a big target of Velozic.
13:58It actually leans back. It stays exactly where it is.
14:00Just sink those body shots in.
14:03He's boxing fine. He's doing all right.
14:05He hasn't been around with that big shot yet that we all want to see.
14:07But that's going to come. Don't worry about that.
14:10He's boxing okay. He hasn't been in any trouble.
14:12He's had to find his range here a little bit more now,
14:14and that'll be a positive thing going forward.
14:16Yep, there's the right hand, and looking a bit more relaxed as well.
14:20Delicious Jorge.
14:21Might be a good sign that as the rounds are going on,
14:25and this is professional debut,
14:28so that would have been nerves and butterflies
14:31and worries beforehand about how he'd look.
14:35And it is a good shot.
14:37And it is just, well, don't be afraid to miss too much.
14:39You know, you can always throw a shot back to put you back on shape.
14:42I would throw one, two, three straight shots for him
14:44to get him closer to the target,
14:45or double the jabber.
14:48And just there's little adjustments that would make a big difference,
14:50but you've got to be in there and do it to learn.
14:52And that's what these fights are for.
14:58And by the way, he's an amateur.
14:59He was never a KO artist either.
15:01Let's not forget that.
15:02No, he wasn't.
15:03A good boxer.
15:04Very good boxer to win the Commonwealth in 2022
15:07and the Europeans a couple of years ago.
15:14Shame about Paris, but he's put that behind him.
15:16And he's about to go the distance as a professional for the first time.
15:26No big knockout to impress Frank Warren,
15:30but he does get a good workout there against Milos Felicic
15:35and a first victory.
15:38What will he be thinking?
15:39What will Grant Smith be thinking?
15:41And what will Frank Warren be thinking?
15:42If I'm deadly honest,
15:44they'll probably be a little bit disappointed.
15:46It won't be the debut that Delish has already would have dreamt of.
15:50No doubt he would have dreamt this a million times over,
15:53but that dream would have ended in a knockout.
15:55But we'll forgive him because he did show eagerness.
15:59I don't mind that.
16:00He showed a real desire to close the show,
16:03but look, he got the job done.
16:05That's all that matters.
16:09Well, stand back for this.
16:11A huge unification clash.
16:13Next weekend, April the 12th,
16:15the undefeated Boots Ennis.
16:18Really good fighting with the WBA welterweight holder,
16:22Emelantis Stanionis.
16:24It's an important call in Atlantic City,
16:27that famous old venue.
16:28Live on DAZN,
16:29part of your subscription.
16:31And a great night to look forward to.
16:38Thomas Traber will make it official.
16:41Ladies and gentlemen,
16:47after four rounds of boxing,
16:50our referee in charge,
16:51Steve Gray,
16:52scores the contest 40 to 36
16:56for your winner.
16:59And successful tonight
17:00in his professional boxing debut,
17:03delicious O-W.
17:13I guess that's the most important thing, right, Carl?
17:15Getting a W.
17:16That's what he would have wanted tonight,
17:17but ultimately with heavyweights,
17:19I always want to knock down
17:20or knock out as well, don't they?
17:21Yeah, look,
17:22the big man probably going to be
17:23a little bit disappointed,
17:24but a win was the most important thing.
17:26He got that.
17:26I think he was trying too hard.
