00:00I think photography and music are both setting out to accomplish the same thing
00:07with photography and with music you're trying to capture a moment the best way you possibly can
00:12so that you can look back and remember it later
00:14whether you're writing lyrics about how you felt in a certain moment
00:18or you're taking a picture of itso that you can see exactly how it looked
00:22you're trying to capture how it looked and how it felt to be in that moment
00:27these days it's become so easy to take a beautiful photograph
00:31taking a gorgeous picture of what you're seeing
00:34posting it online showing your friends showing everyone what you're seeing
00:38it's become one of the most standard ways we communicate now
00:41and it's become something that is such a part of my life
00:45and it's really such an amazing way to show people where you are
00:49and what you're feeling and what you're doing
00:52you know we have these incredibly compact easy small affordable cameras
00:59that can take pictures that will blow your mind and then it's so easy to upload them
01:04and send them to people or to post them and blog them
01:07it's really defined my age group my generation and how we think of pictures
01:14I have this picture that was taken at the CMA Awards when I was 19
01:20and I had just won the Entertainer of the Year award
01:25and all of my band I called them up on stage with me
01:29and we are all immersed in the biggest group hug
01:32and every single look on all of our faces is just shock
01:35and disbelief and happiness and pure joy
01:38and I always look back at that picture and think about
01:41how unbelievable it was to be in that moment
01:44and how I'm so happy I know what every single one of their suits look like
01:48and what we were all wearing and the way that our hair looked
01:52and every detail about that moment
01:54I get to remember because it was captured in a photograph
01:57I don't go anywhere without a camera
01:59I never leave the house without thinking in the back of my mind
02:02what if something amazing happens that I want to take a picture of
02:05that's what's so amazing about cameras that are small and compact
02:08and you can take them with you
02:09because you never know when something cool is about to happen
