00:00so the 75th anniversary show is called the heroes who made us and it looks to do two things the
00:27first of which is celebrate 75 years of heroes who have made 75 years of shows so we're talking
00:31about the military musicians our volunteers and tattoo performers our audiences our international
00:36guests the scottish weather edinburgh castle and and to kind of do a collected hit of 75 years in
00:44a way that hopefully will be refreshing for audiences but the second thing it looks to
00:47do the second type of heroes is those that touch our lives every day those who turn our societies
00:53into communities the people who volunteer the people who set the example through their behavior
00:56we're looking to celebrate them as well
01:14it's a tremendous honor to be part of the tattoo it's been a part of my childhood for quite a long
01:19time spending a lot of time watching on the telly with my parents and so to be able to be here in
01:23person is phenomenal i trust alan blaine completely the artistic director of the tattoo and i trust
01:29that he will create such a phenomenal show when he talked it through with me it was incredible so yeah
01:35i was just i'm excited to be able to take part and be a small cog within this huge machine that is the
01:42edinburgh tattoo i start this job firstly as a fan i loved this show when i was a kid and i've loved it
01:48ever since and so this for me is an act of homage you want to come and you want to make a show that
01:54if you've seen every single show for 75 years and some people have then you go oh yeah of course that's
01:59what they were going to do in the 75th year but also something that if you've never seen the show
02:03before is really exciting and that's the challenge that's what makes a job really exciting you've got
02:07to honor the past you've got to understand where it come from you've got to understand what makes the
02:11edinburgh tattoo the best show in the world and then you've got to do something the audience didn't know to
02:16ask for and that's the challenge i think we're there we're going to find out in august
