00:00The Syrian interim president, Ahmad al-Sharah, met on Wednesday with his French counterpart,

00:07Ahmad said that his country is holding indirect talks with Israel to prevent further escalations.

00:14The two leaders called for sanctions to be lifted on Syria to enable its growth.

00:21It is in everyone's interest, including that of the Americans, today to reflect on helping

00:27lift the sanctions on the Syrian people, to enable them to reclaim their country more

00:33quickly, to rebuild more quickly, and to welcome refugees back to their soil, and to delay

01:05The talks comes after Israel carried out a series of airstrikes on part of Syria last week,
