Sirens blared in Lahore as residents fled their homes following loud explosions. This chaos erupted a day after India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’, targeting terror camps in Pakistan in retaliation for the deadly Pahalgam attack that killed 26 people. The situation has heightened tensions between the two nations.

00:00I have news coming in from Lahore in Pakistan.
00:03Series of loud explosions have been heard in the city of Lahore.
00:07Loud explosions heard on a key road, a street in the city.
00:12Residents have gone into panic.
00:15After these explosions have been heard, several residents were seen rushing up.
00:20Cops revealed that there have been drone explosions.
00:24Remember, there's also been a certain panic uncertainty mode.
00:27India targeted the terror hubs in Bahawalpur, in Muridke.
00:32Muridke, in fact, is close to the city of Lahore.
00:35Lahore police says a large drone has been shot down.
00:39This is a developing story.
00:41So we are putting out what is confirmed information.
00:43That a series of loud explosions were heard on the Walton Road in Lahore.
00:48Police officials have said multiple blasts were heard.
00:51This was on the Walton Road in the Gopal Nagar and Nasirabad areas of Lahore.
00:56People have been reported to be coming out in panic.
01:00There have been clouds of smoke reported.
01:03Now, we do not know the source of these explosions.
01:06It's a developing story.
01:07We'll continue to get you updates as and when more confirmations come in on this.
01:11A drone measuring 5 to 6 feet was shot down is what the cops are claiming.
01:15A foreign affairs editor, Geeta Mohan, has details on that.
01:18Geeta, tell me more.
01:19It's the city of Lahore after all.
01:21What are you picking up about details?
01:22Well, these are just details that are coming from Pakistani media and there is no confirmation
01:31as to where this has come from, whether the drone, the possible drone blasts that were
01:41heard or explosions that were heard were because of a drill gone wrong.
01:48We do not really know, but yes, a report suggesting that there were multiple blasts that were heard
01:54on Walton Road.
01:55This is in Lahore and the heart of Lahore in many ways than one.
02:00And so, yes, people are in panic mode.
02:03According to police sources that the Pakistani media is reporting, these are drone explosions.
02:09But again, we do not know what the nature of this entire incident is, whether it has to
02:17do with India and Pakistan or particularly their own mock drills and war drills that they're
02:23working on where the jamming systems were activated.
02:28And then the drones that, according to reports measuring 5 to 6 feet, were shot down.
02:34This is also because there would be an understandable panic, even though, of course, there's no clarity
02:38what is the source of these explosions.
02:40But because Muridke Terror Hub was targeted in a precision strike by India, which is Lashkar-e-Taiba
02:46Hafiz Saeed's hub, that possibly they believe that Lahore could also be on the target.
02:51But at a juncture like this, remember, it is this panic of Pakistan that is reflecting,
02:57not what India is doing.
02:58Geetha, tell me what is the sentiment that you're picking up from the ground, from Pakistan
03:02media, when it comes to even threats from, right now also, their ministers, a nuke threat
03:08that India will have to pay, says Shehbaz Sharif.
03:12Well, the Pakistani Premier yesterday addressed the nation, has made it very clear that there
03:19is no de-escalation.
03:20India has said that India was going to respond and respond in full measure.
03:25is because it was about two weeks, and yet Pakistan had not acted against terrorists and terror
03:32networks within Pakistan, who were responsible for the Pahalgam terror attack.
03:37And therefore, India had to take the action that India did.
03:40The onus now lies on Pakistan to de-escalate tensions.
03:44But Pakistani Premier had made it very clear that he is, that Pakistan is going to respond
03:50to the actions taken by India, which means hardly any de-escalation over here.
03:56Pooja, India preparing itself for any action from the Pakistani end, there already have been
04:02seized by violations leading to deaths of civilians, innocent lives in Jammu and Kashmir.
04:10And one has to wait and see what more is Pakistan going to do.
04:15So, preparedness in India, various cities are preparing, various schools are being told
04:22how children should learn to handle a situation wherein there are going to be sirens and an
04:30emergency situation.
04:31Colonies are preparing themselves.
04:34But yes, again, we have to wait and see what Pakistan...
04:37And Geeta, I just want to reiterate for the viewer what you are telling us.
04:40We are quoting from Pakistan media.
04:43These are, remember, reports that have no clarity right now.
04:47What is the source of the explosions?
04:49What exactly has happened?
04:51Look at this.
04:52The panic on the streets of Lahore.
04:54One of the prominent cities.
04:56Remember, we do not have clarity about what is the source of the explosion.
05:00What was that sound that they heard?
05:01What was the blast?
05:03So, we are waiting for that clarity and confirmation.
05:05Shivani Sharma also joins us.
05:06Shivani, these visuals coming in from Lahore right now.
05:11And close to Lahore was Mureed Kedah, Lashkar-e-Taiba Hafiz Saeed's terror hub that was in a
05:16precision strike targeted by India.
05:18But what are you picking up from the city of Lahore?
05:21What happened?
05:22Pooja, what we are given to understand from the sources is that Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force,
05:32they are conducting some demonstration and drills.
05:34That's what they've given out a message about in Lahore, where the explosions are being reported about.
05:40And perhaps these drills have gone wrong or they are testing some kind of defense response.
05:47But there is no big damage that's also being told through the sources that these are the blasts that are happening in Lahore
05:55and they are being conducted as a part of the drill that the Pakistan Army and the Pakistan Air Force are taking ahead.
06:02They are not keeping people in confidence like India has been doing.
06:06So the people in Lahore are quite in panic.
06:09And we also cannot confirm that whether these blasts were planned or something went wrong while the drills were on
06:17or some mishap or a flaw that has occurred during these drills.
06:22So these are all unconfirmed reports that are coming in and being floating in Pakistan's media
06:27that has been running a fake narrative since yesterday, Operation Sindhuur.
06:30And we earlier had a lot of inputs about CR code, Gujarawala and blasts out there, drones being downed out there.
06:39But nothing has been confirmed. No action has been confirmed from Indian side.
06:43These are as we wait for further clarity.
06:44Shivani, stay on with me as we look at this visual coming in from the streets of Lahore.
06:48Complete panic.
06:49Now, there could be different options here.
06:51Remember, these are sounds that have been heard of explosions and blasts.
06:55Was it a drill, a mock drill, so to say, that went wrong?
06:58Was it explosion of some kind or some explosion that possibly Pakistan was attempting that has gone wrong
07:04or any other reason or a source of explosion?
07:07But because of the sound that loud, it has got the people of Lahore, especially from certain streets,
07:14especially we are told from, this is near the Walton Airport in the Gopalnagar and Asirabad
07:19that people have rushed out on the streets.
07:21Developing story, I bring in managing editor Gaurav Sawant for the latest on that.
07:26Gaurav, it's after all the city of Lahore.
07:27What are you picking up?
07:28One or two streets, a loud noise is heard.
07:32What is the clarity that you think is coming in right now from the streets?
07:35Go ahead, Gaurav.
07:36Pooja, there was tremendous tension on the streets of Lahore, especially in areas like Gulburg and also the Defense Housing Authority area.
07:46Now, these are areas where multiple blasts were heard.
07:49There were drones that were seen overhead.
07:52There were rumors that a drone was downed.
07:54But we are now being told that there is a Pakistani military exercise that's currently underway.
08:00Both the Pakistani Air Force and the Lahore Corps, which is situated, you know, very close to this locality,
08:07they are carrying out a military exercise, some kind of drills in the skies over Lahore.
08:14And perhaps the loud explosions or the multiple explosions that were heard may have been related to that.
08:21But, you know, one, there is no clarity just as yet.
08:25And two, after India's nine precision, you know, strikes at nine different locations across Pakistan,
08:32including in Muridke, very close to Lahore, there is panic in Lahore, in Bahawalpur.
08:39There's panic across Pakistan.
08:41And questions are being asked of the Pakistani army.
08:44What were they doing?
08:45What was their air defense system doing?
08:47So, in all of this, the armed forces are trying to restore their nation that blast being heard is not any action by an adversary.
08:54It's a military exercise that's underway.
08:57How are you looking at, Gaurav, the kind of sentiment on the ground?
09:02Because perhaps the panic is also resulting from the fact that if Indian armed forces can hit terror targets in Bahawalpur,
09:10in areas, for example, like Muridke, which is closer to Lahore, is that one of the reasons of the panic?
09:16Because there's no clarity right now about the source of the explosion.
09:18But Pakistan clearly realizes India can go ahead and venture.
09:24Is that the reason you believe this is happening?
09:27Pooja, you've hit the nail on its head because this is a very, very critical aspect.
09:31I mean, if you look at Muridke, for example, it's just on the outskirts or it's practically Lahore.
09:39And if Muridke can be targeted, the Pakistan army would also realize that its four core headquarters,
09:45the Lahore core headquarters is less than 20 kilometers away.
09:49You know, if Muridke can be targeted and if Pakistan were to target any military installation in India,
09:57then the Lahore core is also, you know, equally targetable by the scalp and hammer missiles and kits.
10:05Similarly, if Bahawalpur can be targeted, then the 31 core of the Pakistan army, which is in Bahawalpur,
10:11and barely 20 kilometers from this side, it can be targeted with Indian aircraft well within Indian territory.
10:20Pakistan is such a narrow country.
10:22Any part of Pakistan, all the way up to Khaybat, Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan,
10:27can easily be targeted either by rockets, missiles or air-to-ground systems in India.
10:34Not that India desires that, but in case Pakistan were to escalate.
10:39And now Pakistani civil society, their leadership to an extent,
10:44they are realizing that the Pakistan army that pocketed crores and crores in the name of fighting India
10:52is unable to defend Pakistan when, you know, there is an act of retribution to punish Pakistan army-backed terrorism.
11:02So, that message is also going across.
11:04India is imposing costs on Pakistan's military terror network,
11:09like it did with this Operation Sindur,
11:13which marks a paradigm shift in dealing with Pakistan's state terror, Puja.
11:18So, Gaurav, as we stay on with these visuals,
11:21remember this has brought the civilians, the citizens, the residents of the city out on the streets
11:25because they heard explosions.
11:27Gaurav, can you tell us possibly about the number of sound of explosions that was heard?
11:34You also are telling us that there was a drone that was,
11:37as the police locally are claiming,
11:39that there has been sounds that have been heard.
11:42I request you to please stay on with me.
11:44More news coming in.
11:45Let's take a look at that.
11:46Pakistan hits Indian civilians with artillery guns.
12:00That's what Pakistan is doing.
12:02The ceasefire breach, that has happened.
12:04Full freedom for the armed forces to hit back.
12:08Indian Army monitoring what is unfolding by Pakistan military along the line of control.
12:14Army chief is in touch with local military units.
12:21Remember Pakistan, military, remember this viewer,
12:23Pakistan military is using shelling and firing against innocent people along L.O.C.
12:30India is set to use, in return, heavy weapons as if required.
12:34Gaurav Sawant continues to be with us.
12:36Gaurav, just to imagine this,
12:38that India, despite all the distress and anger,
12:41targeted only the terror hubs, nine in total.
12:45Pakistan is targeting innocent civilians, villagers on the border.
12:48This is very painful and this is the most painful aspect of the line of control,
12:56hotting up the way it does.
12:58Pooja, you know, after the Targil war of 1999,
13:02we had reported this and very extensively and multiple border villages
13:06either had to be evacuated or build bunkers in their homes
13:11because there was relentless pounding.
13:13Pakistan also very carefully chooses areas south of Pir Panjal
13:18because, you know, they do not want to hit or they try initially,
13:22at least in the first round, not to hit the Kashmiri Muslims on our side
13:25but they want to hit the Gujjars.
13:27They don't mind hitting the Gujjars and the Bakarwals
13:29and others, you know, non-Kashmiri Muslims on the southern part
13:34of the Pir Panjal in Punch, Rajauri, Krishna Ghati, Mender, that belt
13:39and they're okay to hit Hindus in Rajauri town.
13:43So, it's very carefully calibrated by the Pakistan army
13:46that this is where they open up,
13:48this is where they target civilians initially
13:51as punitive action the moment LOC opens up
13:55in terms of the use of heavy artillery,
13:58including 155mm housers
14:00and India, when India retaliates,
14:02it only chooses Pakistani military sites to respond to.
14:06So, that's one big difference between our army
14:09and their establishment, you know,
14:11when this LOC hots up
14:13but civilians bear the worst brunt of it, Pooja.
14:16But Gaurav, in many ways,
14:17doesn't this expose Pakistan as much?
14:20You and I know how Pakistan would go on these global platforms
14:22as say, we stand with Kashmir, we fight for Kashmir
14:25but in reality, Pakistan military does not shy away
14:29from even targeting Kashmiris,
14:31people from Jammu, in Punch, in Rajauri
14:34and other areas including Uri as much.
14:36We are getting ground reports by multiple team of reporters
14:39who are telling us
14:40how civilians have had their houses bombed,
14:43how innocent children have been killed by Pakistan military.
14:47You know this better than most Pooja
14:50you've reported from ground
14:51on both sides of Pir Panjal,
14:54whether it's Punch, Rajauri, Krishnagati,
14:56Bimbar, Mender,
14:57south of Pir Panjal
14:59or the Uri, Baramula, Kuppara,
15:01access north of Pir Panjal
15:02and Kashmir proper.
15:04Even now, when Pakistani terrorists
15:06targeted Hindu tourists in Pehelgaam,
15:09they destroyed Kashmir's tourism.
15:12More than 2.4 crore tourists had gone to Kashmir
15:16just the previous year.
15:18Imagine the money that was flowing into Kashmir.
15:20Now that tourism season has been adversely impacted
15:23to a very large extent.
15:24Who's bearing the brunt of Pakistani terror?
15:27The people of Jammu and Kashmir.
15:29Pakistan doesn't care.
15:30It's only the Pakistan army
15:32that wants to make money
15:34in the name of Kashmir.
15:36And even Pakistani analysts now very openly say
15:40that the Kashmir cause in Pakistan
15:42is restricted from Raiwind to Rawalpindi,
15:45Rawalpindi, which is a Pakistani Punjabi Musulman cause
15:48to make money.
15:50Sindh doesn't care.
15:51Balochistan doesn't care.
15:52Khyber Pakhtunkhwa doesn't care.
15:54And people in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir
15:56see the prosperity in India
15:58and they'd rather be a part of India
16:00than be a part of the terror state Pakistan.
16:02So it's only a Pakistani military cause
16:04of talking about Kashmir
16:06and making money on their own.
16:08Thank you for your perspective and updates
16:11on what's precisely happening in Lahore
16:13and also at the line of control.
16:15I hope the world is watching this.
16:17This is exposing Pakistan.
16:20Targeting innocent villagers,
16:22border town areas
16:23for a nation that claims to have
16:25harbored terrorism for Kashmir,
16:28for Kashmiris.
16:29But when it came to shelling,
16:31it didn't shy away from targeting
16:33and killing even people of Jammu Kashmir.
16:38Meanwhile, this time is evidence
16:41Pakistan cannot deny.
16:42Whether from the ground
16:43or now satellite images
16:44that India Today has accessed,
16:46this even corroborates further
16:47about what exactly happened
16:49with the precision strikes.
16:50Look at that, ladies and gentlemen.
16:51The images received
16:52and this is accessed by India Today
16:55reveal substantial damage
16:57at the terror hubs
16:57captured by the Maxar Technologies,
17:00the satellite visual show
17:01before and after.
17:01Look at that.
17:02This is Bahawalpur,
17:03Jaish-e-Mohammad
17:04and Muridke,
17:06Lashkar-e-Taiba's
17:07outfits hideout.
17:08Exclusive images accessed
17:09by India Today
17:10confirmed direct hits.
17:12Indian missiles
17:13pierced through the dome
17:15of Subhanallah Mosque
17:16in Bahawalpur.
17:17A mosque, so to say,
17:19but basically an indoctrination
17:20training center.
17:22This precision strike
17:23to know exactly
17:23where Jaish-e-Mohammad
17:24headquarters is,
17:26where Masood Azhar
17:26precisely at this location
17:28barely in November 2024
17:29had addressed an event
17:31which was attended
17:32by hundreds
17:33from the Kader
17:34and his family members.
17:35Some of them
17:36have lost their life
17:37in this precision strike.
17:38The dome of the mosque
17:39stands destroyed completely.
17:41The Markas compound
17:42has also been destroyed.
17:43All of this
17:44found in the images
17:45look before the strike
17:46and after.
17:48It is a direct hit
17:49then comes in
17:50after Bahawalpur,
17:51Muridke,
17:51Lashkar-e-Taiba's
17:52hideout, Hafiz Saeed.
17:54India's precision strike
17:55on LET headquarters
17:56again clearly visible.
17:57Again, look at the
17:58precision strike
17:59that has come in.
18:00But to also ensure,
18:01remember when we talk
18:02about a strike
18:03on the Markas
18:04or on the area,
18:05it's not just one building.
18:06It's a compound
18:07of 80 to 100 acres.
18:09For an organization
18:10allegedly,
18:11supposedly banned
18:12by Pakistan,
18:14how are these compounds
18:15flourishing?
18:16Structures have been
18:17destroyed in this.
18:19Ankit Kumar
18:19gets us these images.
18:21Ankit,
18:21as we look at
18:22the before and the after,
18:23I can look at locations
18:25where you can see
18:26craters,
18:26you can see holes
18:27on the roof.
18:28Is that the Subhanallah
18:29mosque that we are looking at
18:30of Jais-e-Muhammad?
18:32There is more
18:34to just greater,
18:34there is more
18:35to just symbolism.
18:37One compound,
18:39multiple targets
18:40and two kind of signatures,
18:42two kind of signatures
18:43because likely
18:44there are two kind
18:45of weapons used.
18:47You know,
18:48this is Jais-e-Muhammad
18:50headquarter
18:50in Bahawalpur.
18:52You see,
18:52this is the central part,
18:54the central hall.
18:55This is,
18:56of course,
18:56before the attack happened.
18:58You see,
18:59this part,
18:59this part
19:00is the residential part
19:02where the associates
19:04of Masood Azhar,
19:06they used to live here.
19:07This is where
19:07they gathered,
19:08this is where
19:09they used to gather
19:09and this part,
19:11which we will highlight,
19:12this is where
19:13they used to live.
19:14Now,
19:14you have to,
19:15you have to
19:16look at these images now.
19:19Let's come to this place,
19:20right?
19:21This is the after imagery.
19:23If you see the signature,
19:24if you see the kind of impact,
19:26you will understand
19:27that there are two kinds
19:29of signatures
19:29that we can visually observe.
19:32See,
19:32this is very precise.
19:34This is very precise.
19:36It's not that
19:37the entire roof
19:38has been taken down.
19:39This is very precise.
19:41Likely,
19:41likely a hammer.
19:43This residential part,
19:44on the other hand,
19:45you see,
19:46this part of the building
19:47has been completely wiped.
19:48This part of the building
19:49has been completely wiped.
19:51This is signature
19:53of a different kind
19:54of weapon system.
19:55So,
19:55one compound,
19:57multiple targets,
19:59but different kind
20:00of weapons used.
20:01This is a testimony
20:03to the precision,
20:04the ability
20:05of the Indian armed forces,
20:07the Indian air force,
20:08because,
20:09again,
20:10if you see this target,
20:13the target,
20:14the target of this strike,
20:17if you see this part,
20:19see,
20:19see,
20:19you can see
20:21three domes,
20:22three domes
20:23that have gone,
20:25but the roof
20:26is still intact.
20:27This is much of a symbolism.
20:29This is the residential part.
20:31You see,
20:31Masood Azhar,
20:32the chief of Jashri Muhammad,
20:34issued a statement
20:34that he has lost
20:36at least 14 people.
20:38Ten of them
20:38are from his family.
20:40They were likely living
20:42in this part
20:43of the compound.
20:44This is for gathering.
20:46This is for living.
20:47Different kind
20:48of weapon systems
20:48used
20:49on both the targets.
20:52Remember,
20:53it's a very large compound.
20:54Very large compound
20:55just beside the highway.
20:57But,
20:57again,
20:58these pictures show
20:58the kind of precision,
21:00the kind of capability
21:01that Indian armed forces

27:01The situation remains fragile.
27:03It's a developing story right now because control rooms have been also set up across Kashmir
27:08Valley's 10 districts to monitor the situation.
27:11Of course, the focus is on what happens next.
27:13Strategic experts globally agreed that a full-scale war looks unlikely.
27:18But there are possible scenarios we are looking at.
27:21Pakistan could escalate hostilities by intensifying shelling along the border, which already it
27:27is doing.
27:28In response, India is expected to carry out, if required, further precision strikes in
27:32Pakistan territory.
27:33If Pakistan chooses to retaliate with airstrikes, India will have to respond with a broader
27:40military strategy, including more operations on Pakistan's Western Front.
27:44We are looking at some of the scenarios that could come in.
27:47If Pakistan offers talks to de-escalate, India is likely to remain firm in the stance, insisting
27:53on irreversible, verifiable action against terror groups, and not just words this time, but
27:59clearly action on the ground.
28:00The world is watching these developments coming in between India and Pakistan.
28:30Remember, India has sent out a message.
28:32They will target terror hubs, and to ensure that it would be precision strikes.
28:36Pakistan, in turn, is targeting innocent people.
28:39Where does the world stand at this juncture?
28:41Here's a report.
28:42One move, nine targets.
29:02Terrorists on terrorized.
29:05India avenges Behelgaam.
29:13And this one is for Sindur.
29:19On the 7th of May, while India slept and the West watched, India's security forces executed
29:26a multi-pronged precision strikes on Pakistan's terror hubs.
29:31From the sky, the Indian Air Force unleashed missile fire.
29:37And from the ground, the Indian Army responded with thunder, launching surface-to-surface missiles.
29:44The message was clear.
29:46Pakistan will pay for its sins.
29:49This strike was not just military.
29:51It was diplomatic.
29:53It was strategic.
29:54India is now telling Pakistan that its land can no longer be a breeding ground for terror.
30:02And if Pakistan dares to retaliate, India stands ready with a befitting response.
30:08This wasn't an escalation.
30:16It was a response, a calculated and measured one, to what happened on April 22nd in Behelgaam.
30:28And India garnered global support before taking this decisive step.
30:33Pakistan's support for terror was discussed with UNSC member nations.
30:41Russia, the US, the UK and France openly backed India.
30:46As expected, China tilted towards Pakistan.
30:51Gulf nations stood with India while Pakistan had just Turkey by its side.
30:57Now even China's tone is softening.
30:59It is regretting the action, but not condemning it.
31:05Post-strike, India has briefed 13 foreign envoys, reaffirming that this is a war on terror.
31:12Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was given a detailed briefing.
31:19Among the global leaders, Donald Trump was the first to react.
31:23He said he saw it coming.
31:25But he also called for caution from both sides.
31:29My position is, I get along with both.
31:33I know both very well.
31:35And I want to see them work it out.
31:36I want to see them stop.
31:38And hopefully they can stop now.
31:40They've gone tit for tat.
31:42So hopefully they can stop now.
31:44But I know both.
31:45We get along with both the countries very well.
31:47Good relationships with both.
31:49And I want to see it stop.
31:50And if I can do anything to help, I will be there.
31:53The courage of our border villagers is for all to see.
32:13Pakistan military is targeting temples, gurdwaras, other places of worship and residential areas.
32:20A long line of control.
32:22The worst hit is Ponch in Jammu and Kashmir.
32:24Look at that.
32:26Ground report coming in from the gurdwara that has been hit by Pakistan shelling.
32:31It has immediately reopened.
32:33Devotees have immediately flocked to the gurdwaras.
32:36This is less than 24 hours after that shelling.
32:39The Ponch gurdwara where there is a sizable Sikh community population as well has reopened for devotees.
32:44This is while there is still destruction around.
32:47Ardaas started and our ground reporters who are telling us how even remember a gurdwara was targeted by Pakistan which has led to the loss of life as well.
32:58This was a place of worship gurdwara where the Sikh community is grieving for the civilian deaths.
33:04Let's take a look at this ground report.
33:09In the morning when Pakistan resorted to firing heavy artilleries on the civilians in Ponch
33:15and one of the shells that fell exactly here in the gurdwara, Ponch.
33:20When we know the casualty gone more than a dozen in Ponch, there was one shell that fell right here
33:26and the magnitude of that explosion that took out almost everything around
33:30and the sprinters, the sharp nails that fell all over here in Gurdwara.
33:35And look at these marks of the sharp nails.
33:38So all these glasses were broken.
33:40They deep penetrated even the metal windows here in the gurdwara
33:44and the piece of the sharp nails can be visible, seen, visibly seen here in the gurdwara premises.
33:50And just 24 hours of the Pakistan's provocation, indiscriminate shelling in Gurdwara,
33:57it is the faith of the people, it is the patriotism of the people, of the Ponch.
34:02They are giving tough response to Pakistan that they are not going to deter.
34:06It's the sense of patriotism.
34:08The gurdwara this morning yet again opens for the prayer, for the people.
34:12A vaheguru chanting, people with their faith and belief have come back to Gurdwara,
34:18showing that Pakistan's any unintentional such kind of provocations will not deter us,
34:24will not deter the armed forces.
34:26It's a faith of the people that have brought them all here to this Gurdwara in Ponch,
34:33which came under the attack of the heavy shelling of Pakistan just 24 hours ago.
34:37Kamaljeet Sandhu also sent us this ground report from different locations,
34:43whether a gurdwara, a cremation ground, residential areas that have been targeted,
34:48especially Ponch, Pakistan military hitting civilians.
34:53The entire town of Ponch is in mourning.
34:56What you see around here is funerals, not one, but many.
35:00At least 10 people have died here.
35:03Over 33 are injured.
35:04This is a personal loss for Ponch town.
35:08The country's seen loss in the form of Pehelgam terror attack,
35:12and then thereafter what we saw is Pakistan barbatory,
35:17especially if you're talking about the line of control attacking innocent civilians.
35:23This is where the entire town has come together.
35:26But there is uncertainty right here.
35:28What lies next for them,
35:30even as there is a persistent threat of shelling from across the border?
35:34With Cameraperson Girish, this is Kamaljeet Sandhu in Ponch for India Today.
35:38So remember, at this juncture, because it's the 14th consecutive day of the Pakistan unprovoked shelling that's coming in at the LOC,
35:48the Indian Armed Forces have been given a free hand to retaliate against the shelling and artillery fire.
35:54Villages near the LOC are on high alert.
35:56Evacuations have taken place in many areas, and the BSF army are on high alert.
36:00But remember, even Gurdwaras, temples, houses have been bombed and hawed by Pakistan.
36:05Several towns in the region have faced the shelling as well,
36:08but it speaks also about incredible valour,
36:11especially along the line of control where these villagers have been bracing this barbarism by Pakistan for decades now.
36:18The border towns that I mentioned are in Uri, Ponch, Rujauri, Tangdar, Karna,
36:24LOC, IB Borders area, and homes have been reduced to rubble.
36:28Look at these images and ground reports coming in on your screen.
36:31The sharpness marks on these walls reminds me the picture that I witnessed in 2019 post-Bala Kote strike by Indian forces
36:41on the terror camps in Pakistan.
36:44What I see here, that how Pakistan used long guns, the long barrels, to target the civilian areas,
36:52and these are the documented evisions.
36:54The footprints of their act is quite visible in Ponch,
36:58and this is exactly what unfolded during 2019 when they targeted civilian areas.
37:05As in Ponch, what is known for that Pakistan having advantage of the height,
37:08they often target civilian areas after 29,
37:11and this creates literally a panic and sense of fear amongst the people.
37:15They're targeting civilian areas with the long guns,
37:19and this shows how scared Pakistan was after the airstrike carried against the terror camps,
37:26which was in response of the Pahlgaam terror attack.
37:32In retaliation to avenge the deaths of the Pahlgaam victims,
37:37India ensured that terror hubs, nine targets in 25 minutes, will be hit.
37:42In turn, Pakistan is targeting innocent civilians in Jammu and Kashmir.
37:47Pakistan is now in panic mode.
37:48Visuals accessed by India today from Lahore, for example, now show,
37:52people are seen panicking.
37:53They're rushing out on the streets.
37:55Now, there's no clarity about the source of the explosion
37:57and the reason for the blasts that people say they've heard,
38:02but there are air raid sirens that are being heard too.
38:05Prime Minister Shehbar Sharif, instead of trying to de-escalate the situation,
38:09is threatening India, saying India will have to pay.
38:12The Defence Minister Khwaja Asif is also playing a nuke threat card against India.
38:17That's what their top ministers are saying right now.
38:20Islamabad, meanwhile, is on the edge.
38:22An emergency has been declared across the capital city.
38:25Pakistan Air Base is our own alert.
38:26Pakistan Air Base is near the end.
38:34I spoke to you for all.
38:37and 40% of them are in their homes and children.
38:44The people are doing their job.
38:48And the whole Pakistan is along with these children.
38:54And they are doing a good job for them.
38:59We are very happy.
39:02Maybe it is a good time, but today, we have a meeting of the National Security Committee,
39:09and we have prepared a decision to make a decision on the Pakistanis.
39:12We are prepared to make a decision on the Pakistanis.
39:15We will be prepared to make a decision on the Pakistanis.
39:24So, Allah, God bless you.
39:28Inshallah, there is no such death in the evening.
39:31Even in the evening, we have had a lot of trouble.
39:34We have had nothing to do with it.
39:36So, we can do that.
39:38Then, we can do something like that.
39:40We can do something like that.
39:42We can recover it.
39:44We can do something like that.
39:49Inshallah, we will open the eyes of Pakistan.
39:54And we will show them that we are not in war.
39:59We are not in war.
40:02But now, you have been attacked.
40:05You have been attacked on our children.
40:11We have been attacked on our planet.
40:15Now, they will keep their love and love.
40:19That's why the answer is the answer to Pakistan.
40:22My colleague Shivani Sharma has been reporting from the line of control
40:26where basically Pakistan military is targeting Indian civilians in JNK.
40:30Shivani, tell me about the panic that you sense from Pakistan's side.
40:35The statements coming in from their opposition or ruling party leaders.
40:39Panic on the streets in Lahore as we are putting out these visuals
40:42from the blast and the explosions that have been heard.
40:46What are you picking up?
40:47What is happening at the border and in the establishment in Pakistan?
40:51See, the aftermath of Operation Sindur in Pakistan is quite evident.
40:59And there's a combination of panic, false narrative and the attack on civilians from Pakistani posts.
41:05So, this is what is happening right now in Pakistan where Pakistan remains agitated
41:10after the Operation Sindur strikes were successful.
41:13They destroyed the terror outfits out there.
41:16And in Pakistan right now, what we are seeing are reports of certain blasts in Lahore.
41:21There are three locations where these blasts have happened in Lahore.
41:25And since past midnight, Pooja, we've been witnessing a lot of news that was there on Pakistan media
41:31that was saying that some drone has been downed, the Indian drone has been downed.
41:36But all these reports remain unconfirmed and unverified because no such attack,
41:43there's no official confirmation of any kind of strike from India's side so far after Operation Sindur.
41:50And remember, after Operation Sindur also, within minutes, India had released the official information about what it had done.
41:57So, there's no strike that's happening from India.
42:00But whatever we are witnessing inside Pakistan seems to be its internal blast, internal bombs.
42:06What we have also picked up from the sources in Pakistan that there were some mock drills that were going on
42:12or some operational drills that were going on inside Pakistan conducted by its own forces,
42:17some mishap or some flaw or some kind of explosion must have happened.
42:22It can be related to that because no other action from India has been reported so far.
42:27So, this is what we are picking, that there's a lot of panic.
42:31And on the LOC, we've been reporting how Pakistan has been hitting innocent civilians.
42:35I hope the people of Pakistan start to question their establishment.
42:39That this panic that they have to face is because of the harbour and support to terrorism
42:45that Pakistan establishment and military have done for decades.
42:48India always wanted better relationship with Pakistan.
42:50But look what Pakistan has become, even for its civilians, because of support to terror outfits.
42:55Thank you very much, Shivani. Stay safe. I'll keep coming back to you in a short while.
42:59I have some big news coming in. Let's take a look at that.
43:01Because at this juncture, remember, India also has to be on the high alert.
43:06Again, Indian railways will have to be on high alert.
43:17Remember, at a juncture like this, there is vigil coming in for possibly Pakistani intelligence
43:24and nefarious elements that will want to snoop on the trains.
43:28And that is why there has been high alerts that government has sounded as a grave national security alert
43:34that do not reveal military trade movements.
43:39This is as much, of course, when it comes to the railways or the viewers watching right now
43:44have to be very cautious in the information that is being put out with regard to any movement.
43:49Remember, the advisory has come out already.
43:51But this is reiterating.
43:53Because Pakistan will want to hit India in ways as you can already see.
43:59If the Pakistan military is targeting our civilians at the border,
44:02there is no differentiation that it does when it comes to civilians or military when it comes to India.
44:08Center warning the railway staff against Pakistan plot.
44:13Do not reveal military trade movements.
44:17Pakistan will want to spy on the military trade movements specifically.
44:21So every caution has to be observed when we talk about any sort of security detail
44:26and have to be very cautious.
44:29Piyush Mishra joins me for the latest on that.
44:32Piyush, right now I understand India will be on a high alert in different areas.
44:37What are you picking up about specifically with regard to why railways has this advisory?
44:42How it must be followed?
44:44Well, Pooja, we have spoken to our sources in railways and they have told us that this advisory is always there in place.
44:55But this time it has again been issued.
44:59Looking at the current situation, the sources in railway believe that the radical Islamists sponsored by Pakistan could attack the military movement.
45:09And that is why they have asked all the railway employees not to reveal the plan or movement of armed forces if they are going from one place to another using the mode of transport as strain.
45:22And this has come in the wake of the operations also.
45:26Those have been carried out by Pakistan, the successful operation Sindhur.
45:29Looking at that, Pakistan could play some sort of dirty tricks.
45:33And Pakistan intelligence people could ask few vital information from railway employees about the movement of Indian armed forces.
45:43And that is why this advisory has been issued asking the railway employees not to reveal any kind of information to anyone who asks about that except the official railway staff.
45:53Piyush, keep tracking the latest on this.
45:56So, any information that you may have, be very cautious.
46:00Do not share because Pakistan intelligence agencies will want to spy and we do not want any hit that comes into our military.
46:07Piyush, thank you very much for now.
46:10All right, the final report of this bulletin I bring to you about response that has come in from across India and especially from our film stars.
