00:21Is it just precautionary?
00:22Because it had happened, viewers, yesterday, last night as well,
00:27where there were air raid sirens in Chandigarh and a complete blackout,
00:31everybody was asked to remain indoors and even do not go on rooftops.
00:36But the latest news that is coming in right now seems to suggest that either there is a warning
00:41or it is just precautionary.
00:44But in Chandigarh, air warning sirens are blaring from Air Force stations of a possible attack.
00:53Sirens are being sounded.
00:54All have been advised to remain indoors and completely away from balconies.
00:59This piece of information we are getting in from Chandigarh.
01:03Chandigarh was on the radar of Pakistan yesterday as well.
01:09Through the course of the night, multiple times air raid sirens blared in Chandigarh.
01:15And also there was a complete blackout where Chandigarh was concerned.
01:19Having said that, right now, just about five minutes ago, information just coming in, viewers,
01:24that once again air sirens are blaring through Chandigarh.
01:29And a possible, there is a tip-off that there could be a possible drone attack.
01:35Everyone has been advised to remain indoors, completely away from balconies.
01:40Pakistan concerted in its effort.
01:43Each of those have been neutralized till now.
01:46They've sent in drones to Jalandhar, where Punjab was concerned.
01:49Many drones were intercepted in Jalandhar and neutralized viewers.
01:54Right now, it seems it's just a precautionary warning just yet.
01:58But an air warning has been sounded from Air Force station of a possible attack.
02:04Sirens are blaring in Chandigarh.
02:07Everyone has been advised to remain indoors and completely away from balconies
02:12because it does seem Pakistan is escalating the situation.
02:17I want to cut across to our battery of reporters.
02:20We are definitely not giving out their exact locations
02:23because this is an ongoing conflict, an ongoing operation.
02:27And we do not want to compromise any strategic location
02:32and also to safeguard the location of our reporters.
02:35My colleague, Aseem Basi, who watches Punjab, studies Punjab very closely,
02:40is joining us for larger details that are coming in.
02:43Aseem, what are you hearing where people from Chandigarh are concerned?
02:48I believe, all right, we seem to have lost Aseem Basi.
02:56We're going to cut across to him in just a short while.
02:58I will take you through the latest news break that is coming in right now.
03:02An air warning siren has been sounded in Chandigarh.
03:05It had happened last night as well.
03:07There were no attacks, but there is maybe a possibility or a tip-off
03:13that the Air Force has received.
03:15The Air Force station have sounded air sirens.
03:18Everyone has been advised to remain indoors and away from balconies.
03:21Yesterday, there were parts of Punjab that did come into attack.
03:25Amritsar did come into attack where there were sirens that were sounded,
03:30Jalandhar, there were drones that were intercepted and neutralized viewers.
03:35None of those drones actually hit Punjab.
03:38I want to cut across to our reporter, Aseem Basi, once again,
03:40not giving out their locations.
03:42We do not want to compromise what is an ongoing operation.
03:46Aseem, you know, air sirens blaring in Chandigarh.
03:51What are your sources telling you from there?
03:53What's the update?
03:55Well, last night also Chandigarh was in a blackout,
03:57and this morning also the warning came out.
03:59But now a serious warning has come up from the air base in Chandigarh.
04:02And the district administration has themselves released it,
04:07that sirens are hit in Chandigarh.
04:08An air attack warning has come up in Chandigarh.
04:11And this is the reason that the people are advised to stay indoor.
04:15And this is officially coming from the air base.
04:17And the district administration ruled an information.
04:20It publicized, and sirens were hitting all over the city.
04:23And people are advised not to come to the balconies, not to come out outdoor.
04:26And especially when Pakistan has done a lot of misadventure in Jammu, in Pathankot, in Punjab.
04:32Now the latest is that air attack warning signals have come in Chandigarh from the air base.
04:38And the administration has asked the people to be careful and stay indoors.
04:42So this is really big coming from Chandigarh ever since the India-Pakistan escalation has come up.
04:49All right, so that's the big news.
04:51Viewers, once again, we don't want to sound alarmist.
04:53There is no need to panic at all.
04:54It is precautionary, but there has been a tip-off with what my colleague Asim Bassi tells us
05:00that seems to suggest that there could be a possible drone strike.
05:05Now, all of this right now is just precautionary.
05:10However, an air warning has been sounded in Chandigarh from the Chandigarh Air Force Station.
05:16Everyone in Chandigarh has been advised to remain indoors and away from balconies.
05:20There was a similar warning that had been sent out yesterday.
05:23As well, Chandigarh had a complete blackout yesterday.
05:27A similar air siren warning was also sounded late last night.
05:30The same thing repeating right now.
05:32Asim, what more can you add?
05:35What is being anticipated?
05:37Is there a drone strike being anticipated?
05:39What are you picking up?
05:40Well, the note which has been released by the administration clearly says that an air attack warning is that this is an air attack warning.
05:47So, this is what kind of a mentioning is being given in that note.
05:52So, promptly, reacting properly to the air attack warning released by the air base, the Chandigarh administration released it for the media, released it for the public so that they can be indoors.
06:03And the sirens were blown.
06:04So, because the Punjab was on the radar last night, Jammu was there, Pathan court was there.
06:10So, Chandigarh also was under a lot of precaution.
06:13Blackouts were done.
06:13Schools were closed.
06:14Colleges were closed.
06:15And now, this kind of a warning coming definitely left the people on toes.
06:20And the administration has totally swung into action and even the armed force is there.
06:25Alright, you know, once again, viewers, not to sound alarmist, not to panic, but if you're in Chandigarh, remain indoors, away from balconies.
06:35This could all very well just be precautionary.
06:38In any case, schools and colleges and all education establishments have been shut in Chandigarh for the next two days.
06:44But air sirens right now are blaring where Chandigarh is concerned.
06:50Chandigarh is important.
06:52We don't want to give out strategic details in terms of why Pakistan is looking to target Chandigarh in terms of India's military installations.
07:02We are not going to get there.
07:03But sirens being sounded in Chandigarh right now as I speak.
07:09If you are in Chandigarh, the advice is to remain inside, away from balconies.
07:14Do not venture on your rooftops.
07:17It, in all probability, is only but precautionary.
07:21So, till now, just sirens being sounded in Chandigarh.
07:27Aseem Bassi telling us that there is, by the local administration, there is a note, press note that has been sent out.
07:35It's a warning that has been sent out to the citizens of the local administration that there could possibly, possibly is a big word right now, could be an air attack where Chandigarh is concerned.
07:48It could be through drones.
07:49But this is what we've been given to understand.
