Speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield

00:00More than we can ask for, 3-0, it's an unbelievable result, you don't get many games like that,
00:06especially in the playoffs where you can take a comfortable lead into the second game.
00:11It was tough, the first half was tough, the goal disallowed, we thought it should have stood,
00:15but we've not seen it back yet, but we carried on from there.
00:19Harrison took the pen away and then in the second half we got the second goal early on
00:22and you could see it just deflated them and we went on to score another one, 3-0, take that all day.
00:27Yeah, clearly some decisions going against both sides in the first half,
00:31but the red card changed things, didn't it, from a tactical perspective and asked some different questions?
00:37Yeah, I think in the second half they definitely sat in a lot more, we had to try and break them down
00:42and I think we'd done that really well, created the chances for the third goal and could have had many more chances as well.
00:49And yeah, it affects them, obviously you don't want to go down to 10 minutes, it's going to be tough from there,
00:53especially 1-0 down as well, but we took our chances and we're going to that second game with a good lead.
00:59How important was it that you took advantage of that man advantage?
01:02Because we've seen many times in football how difficult it can make it.
01:06Yeah, especially I think it helped us a little bit, they didn't really drop in in the first half,
01:11after they went down to 10 men, obviously in the second half they dropped in,
01:16but you never want to go in to the second game 1-0 because it's hit or miss then,
01:22one goal swings it again, but I think with a 3-0 lead, it's more comfortable,
01:29but we still have to perform, cannot drop off now in the second game,
01:33and we want to go on to win it more than comfortable and we'll try and keep another clean sheet.
01:38And that's the point now, isn't it? Because you can't take your eye off the ball at all,
01:41football does strange things, doesn't it, if you do that?
01:44Yeah, I mean, anything can happen in the play if you've seen it over the years.
01:49And yeah, it's on us at the end of the day, we just have to focus now,
01:51we've got three days, two days, Friday, Saturday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, isn't it?
01:57And game Monday, so we've got three days to prepare now,
01:59sure we will recover and we're going to that game, heads held high.
02:02And I suppose one of the things that tonight's shown is the kind of strength in depth
02:06and the squad that's been put together, particularly in the second half of the season
02:09with Brooks and O'Hare coming on and getting the goals.
02:13Yeah, we've had a couple of lads come back from injury at good times,
02:16Tom Davies is back now, gives us that midfield.
02:20And yeah, it's a really strong squad, you know, we've got people who can come on
02:25who should be starting as well and that's obviously a benefit to us
02:28because we're able to change when obviously we've got injuries
02:31and a bit of fatigue there.
02:33So yeah, as I say, just going into that second game now full of confidence.
02:38Was there always that belief going into the tie that you are the third best team
02:42in the Championship and it's just a case of going out there and showing that?
02:47You can say that, yeah, but a play-off game is totally different to a league game.
02:53We knew it would be a really tough game tonight and we knew we had to start well
02:56and we did, we started really well.
02:57We had chances early on, could have gone one or two nup, we obviously had the goal disallowed
03:01and then Ty's had the chance after that, but he should have finished.
03:04But we knew it was going to be a tough game, this is a tough place to come in the league
03:07and we knew the atmosphere would be rocking and it was, but I think we just produced our
03:11best tonight and that was more than good enough.
03:13It's a great away-end as ever, but you'll need them fans, won't you, at home on Monday night
03:17to take you all the way to Wembley?
03:18Yeah, need that, they need the Bramall Lane rocking.
03:22It's going to be a big benefit to us if they can get behind us, keep that confidence nice
03:25and high and obviously we can see the game out.
