00:00:00Welcome to Match of the Dead.
00:00:30The final Saturday of the Premier League season, five games on the way.
00:00:53Ashley Williams and Shea Gibbon have an eye on Europe, not to book their holidays, I hasten to add.
00:00:58Shall we go through the permutations?
00:01:02The top five earn a place in the Champions League.
00:01:05The winner of the Europa League final between Manchester United and Tottenham will also qualify.
00:01:11The two Europa League places go to sixth place and the FA Cup winners.
00:01:15But if Manchester City win the FA Cup and finish in the top six, then the team in seventh will take the Europa League spot.
00:01:22If Crystal Palace win the FA Cup, they'll be in the Europa League.
00:01:27The Conference League spot is held by Newcastle for winning the League Cup.
00:01:31But if Eddie Howe's team finish in the top six, the Conference League place goes to the highest placed team that hasn't reached Europe,
00:01:38which could be one of four teams chasing eighth if Manchester City win the FA Cup.
00:01:44If Chelsea finish outside the top six and win the Conference League, there'll be three Europa League places and no Conference League slot.
00:01:52I'll just run through that again.
00:01:55No, I won't.
00:01:56We begin with two teams who still have European ambitions.
00:01:59Aston Villa's target was the Champions League.
00:02:02Bournemouth were chasing eighth place.
00:02:04Jonathan Pearce was at the Vitality Stadium.
00:02:06Bournemouth already have a club Premier League record points tally for just two league wins in the last ten,
00:02:14albeit one of those at Arsenal last week.
00:02:16That's hurt their dream of a first European campaign.
00:02:19Villa start the day, three points are fourth.
00:02:21A win is a must for them.
00:02:23Adam Smith makes his 400th Bournemouth appearance as one of their three changes from last week's win at Arsenal.
00:02:29Alex Scott and Antoine Semeny also come back in.
00:02:32Raul Joe and Kluivert go to the bench.
00:02:34Uttara is missing with a groin injury.
00:02:37Tyrone Ming's had four years as a Bournemouth player and gets his first filler start since April the 19th in there.
00:02:42Four changes.
00:02:44Dinya, Onana and Ramsey come back in.
00:02:46Torres, Mattson and McGinn go to the bench.
00:02:48Tillemans is sideline.
00:02:50Oli Watkins needs one goal to become their record Premier League scorer outright.
00:02:56Bournemouth's home record this season is worse than their away record.
00:02:59They fit at 25 points here, 28 points away.
00:03:04Bournemouth had an opportunity perhaps to switch it to Tavernier.
00:03:07They went narrow through the middle for the run of Scott.
00:03:10We use a foul Tyrone Mings.
00:03:11It was a crunch of a blow.
00:03:22The referee saw nothing untoward.
00:03:25And he had a quick chat with Chris Cavanaugh and the VAR.
00:03:28Irola is claiming there there was a definite elbow.
00:03:41Here's Tavernier.
00:03:42Back to him.
00:03:46Evan Nielsen's trotted into the edge of the six-yard area.
00:03:50Scott in support.
00:03:51Little dinked cross.
00:03:52Looking for Evan Nielsen.
00:03:53Well, come on, Mings.
00:03:55Can't have had to spring to his right-hand side to make the save.
00:03:59Evan Nielsen's glancing ahead.
00:04:00It deflected off Mings.
00:04:01All right, Emery since joining us.
00:04:06Sevilla has 74 wins in 137 games.
00:04:10He's had a 51% or higher record of victories at five clubs in a row.
00:04:17That is a magnificent achievement.
00:04:20Ascensio.
00:04:21Off the post.
00:04:23That's the best moment of the first half by some way.
00:04:27Crisp drive.
00:04:30Good strike here by Marco Ascensio.
00:04:33Cut across the ball.
00:04:34Hit the base of the post.
00:04:36Didn't really catch it properly.
00:04:38But it would have beaten Kepa.
00:04:42Banana.
00:04:44Back to Ascensio.
00:04:46Little step over.
00:04:47Turning on the charm there.
00:04:50Dinu with the cross in.
00:04:51Kamara arrives.
00:04:52Splendid save by the feet of the goalkeeper.
00:04:54And a double save as he thwarts the catch header.
00:04:57Best move of the game.
00:04:59Decent goalkeeping by Kepa Arithabalaga.
00:05:03Lovely play by Ascensio in the build-up.
00:05:05Really good cross.
00:05:07Kamara should have scored.
00:05:08And then the double save.
00:05:10This is a classic anywhere but there moment.
00:05:13Bubakar Kamara should have scored.
00:05:15Look at the amount of goal he has to aim at.
00:05:17Straight at the goalkeeper.
00:05:18It is a good save.
00:05:19The second one I think was better.
00:05:28Zidane had caught in two minds.
00:05:29Villa can counter here.
00:05:31This is a strong run by Ramsey.
00:05:33And he's brought down.
00:05:35And Adam Smith will get a yellow card.
00:05:37And the reaction from Jacob Ramsey was rather immature.
00:05:42He'll get caution.
00:05:43Sancho's free kick for Aston Villa.
00:05:52Ming's reached for it.
00:05:53Ascensio looks to clear it away.
00:05:59Got to be a bit fortunate.
00:06:02Still holds the ball though.
00:06:03In the end dispossessed by Cash.
00:06:07Played into Watkins at the near post.
00:06:09The faintest of touches in Villa League.
00:06:11Right at the end of the half.
00:06:12Well they've been getting stronger and stronger and they've been creating.
00:06:16And five minutes into stoppage time.
00:06:18Oli Watkins scores.
00:06:20He's now Aston Villa's record Premier League scorer outright.
00:06:24Moving one ahead of Gabi at Bondahor.
00:06:26And it was just a touch.
00:06:29A striker's finish.
00:06:30Semenyo held on too long really.
00:06:32But he didn't get any help.
00:06:34One bat by Cash.
00:06:35Quality early ball in.
00:06:37Just onside.
00:06:38It is being checked.
00:06:40The delicate little flick beyond Kepa though.
00:06:43Would delight all Bourne goalscorers.
00:06:47The check is complete.
00:06:48Goal 17 of the season for him.
00:06:55Ming's.
00:06:56It's a depth of the pass down the line.
00:07:01Digna.
00:07:03Cuts it back here.
00:07:05He nearly came through to Ramsey and did.
00:07:08Kamara shoots.
00:07:10Master Villa nearly 2-0 up right at the start of the second half.
00:07:14Too much room at the Valverde.
00:07:16Look at that space.
00:07:17So he stepped to his left hand side.
00:07:20Found more space.
00:07:21He was allowed to get the shot off.
00:07:23Hasn't scored since September.
00:07:26Of his first season.
00:07:28I think it was a lead cup card against Everton.
00:07:30He hasn't scored in 68 games.
00:07:32Here's Semenya.
00:07:34Going all the way through.
00:07:35Opportunity here for Klaiver.
00:07:36That's clever play.
00:07:37And it's a good save there.
00:07:38by Martinez who's claiming that Klaiver died.
00:07:47I think Martinez has a point here.
00:07:49He definitely dropped too easily.
00:07:50And the Villa players let him know it.
00:07:53And here's Brooks.
00:08:01Was he tripped here by Jacob Ramsey?
00:08:04Because he's going to get sent off if he was.
00:08:07It's a second yellow.
00:08:09And Jacob Ramsey who was booked in the first half for a silly confrontation is dismissed.
00:08:14Now he can rue his petulant retaliation in the first half when he was fouled, do you remember, by Adam Smith and rounded on him.
00:08:25And Aston Villa will play the last ten minutes with ten.
00:08:30Here's Semenya on the half turn.
00:08:31And the game very nearly turned horribly against Aston Villa in a matter of moments.
00:08:37That's the best we've seen from Bournemouth in the second half.
00:08:44And it's Tavernier.
00:08:48Eight and a half minutes to go plus stoppage time.
00:08:50And the ten men Villa hold on.
00:08:53Brooks spins the passing for Everton.
00:08:55Nielsen.
00:08:57Pushed away by Martinez.
00:08:59And Bournemouth have suddenly found a fluency.
00:09:01And they've lacked for 80 minutes.
00:09:11Here's Tavernier.
00:09:12This one isn't done yet.
00:09:15Brooks.
00:09:18Tavernier.
00:09:21It's a great cross.
00:09:24Oh, and it's missed at the far post.
00:09:25How was that missed?
00:09:28Semenya got up so very, very well.
00:09:30Heading it back across goal.
00:09:31Jefferson was there.
00:09:33Oh, the goalkeeper did brilliantly.
00:09:35And it didn't nestle in the back of the net.
00:09:38Martinez did brilliantly to save from Semenya.
00:09:40And Jefferson coming in.
00:09:44Couldn't head it home.
00:09:47Great last chance for Bournemouth to level it.
00:09:49It's been a terrific season for you.
00:09:52You've got a record number of points in the Premier League.
00:09:55How much of a pity will it be if you don't have anything concrete to show for it at the end?
00:09:59It's very difficult to get to Europe.
00:10:00You have to be really, really good.
00:10:02We saw against Villa today how they manage the small things, the moments of the game.
00:10:09And we have to continue.
00:10:11We don't know where we are going to finish, but we have to finish it, finish the best we can.
00:10:17You move ahead now of Gabi Albonahor.
00:10:19You're the outright Premier League top scorer in history of Aston Villa.
00:10:22I said from the start when I joined the club that that's what I had my eyes on.
00:10:26Obviously, it's taken a while to do it.
00:10:28And it's a big achievement.
00:10:30So, yeah, a really good day.
00:10:31You're in Europe.
00:10:32You know that now, again.
00:10:34But how massive was this for the Champions League top five places?
00:10:38Yes, it's the best.
00:10:39It's the best competition in the world.
00:10:41And through Premier League, it's very difficult because there are other teams really competing very well
00:10:47and being contended, and they have more points than us.
00:10:50We are going to fight for it.
00:10:51But the first objective, clearly, is to play in Europe again, and we achieved it today.
00:10:55How we compete, how we defend, how we get the commitment, everybody,
00:11:00to do the big effort like we were planning before.
00:11:03I think I am so, so proud of them.
00:11:07Yeah, they didn't have it all their own way, but it was a vital win for Aston Villa.
00:11:11Amadou Anana came in for Tielemans, and he did a really good job, actually.
00:11:15Yeah, I was really impressed with him from the start today.
00:11:18As you say, he came in for Tielemans, and it was a really strong, powerful,
00:11:22defensive centre-midfield performance from him.
00:11:26As a centre-back myself, it's exactly what you want in front of you.
00:11:29He's just breaking up play, and then he has the ability,
00:11:32so this is early on in the game, to drive, and this is such a relief
00:11:35if you're his team-mate, that he can drive your team up the pitch
00:11:38and start off an attack.
00:11:40That one doesn't come to anything.
00:11:42But you see him here in the correct position, breaks up play,
00:11:46and then he's also got the composure to do this.
00:11:49Little step over, and he's gone again.
00:11:51Wins his team a foul in a really tight game.
00:11:55What he does, he just sits in the middle of the pitch.
00:11:56He did that all game, just starting off attacks, breaking up play for Aston Villa.
00:12:02This actually ends up with a chance for Kamara at the back stick.
00:12:05Great save from Kepa, and then another double save, which was brilliant in itself.
00:12:10Big and strong on corners, which is what they needed.
00:12:13You know, Bournemouth had numerous corners, and he was always there.
00:12:17And then this is brilliant centre-midfield play, just mopping up.
00:12:20You can see his defenders applauding his positioning there.
00:12:23I thought he was brilliant from the off.
00:12:25In a really massive game for Villa as well.
00:12:27Big win, big performance coming in for Tielemans.
00:12:30You can see here, he ranks high.
00:12:33He ranks first for Villa in a lot of categories.
00:12:35He had a really, really strong performance today.
00:12:37Certainly did.
00:12:38Huge goal, too, for Oli Watkins.
00:12:41Well, not just for the team, but for him personally as well.
00:12:44Yeah, obviously broke Gabby Agbon-Lahor's record at Aston Villa.
00:12:47Yeah, it's a brilliant goal.
00:12:48It's an important goal, as you say, as well, Gary.
00:12:49You know, the Champions League race is what it's all about for Aston Villa.
00:12:53Great press from Aston Villa, high up the pitch.
00:12:54See Cash here.
00:12:55He's all over Semenya.
00:12:57And then can Rodgers deliver the cross?
00:12:58Too right he can.
00:12:59He's had a brilliant season as well.
00:13:00But every good striker, Gary, you'll tell me better than anyone,
00:13:03gets across the centre-half.
00:13:04And it's a fantastic touch from Watkins.
00:13:07You just see a little nick here, and gives Kepa absolutely no chance at all.
00:13:10It's a brilliant finish inside the post there.
00:13:11What a finish for him.
00:13:12As you say, it's a big goal on a personal level,
00:13:15but a big goal for Aston Villa as well.
00:13:17Of course, and there's confirmation there.
00:13:19And then you look at the games as well, Gary.
00:13:21You know, 182 games, yeah.
00:13:23There's some big names on there, yeah.
00:13:25And Dion Dublin.
00:13:26Dion Dublin, yeah.
00:13:27Sorry, Dion, just kidding.
00:13:2995th minute at the other end.
00:13:31Bournemouth pushed, didn't they?
00:13:32But, boy, it looked like they'd equalised.
00:13:34But for a great piece of goalkeeper from Martinez, backed up by Cash.
00:13:38They do.
00:13:38Well, goal scorers get all the credit, don't they?
00:13:39But sometimes the goalkeeper comes up trumps.
00:13:41And you say, Gary, 95th minute, both Emi Martinis.
00:13:44You see him celebrating, but let's not forget Cash at the back.
00:13:46That's a fantastic save.
00:13:47And I love that from defending as well.
00:13:49Brilliant save from Emi Martinis.
00:13:51Watch this.
00:13:51Never give up, Gary.
00:13:52He's a defender.
00:13:53Go all the way.
00:13:5495th minute.
00:13:55That's as good as saving your team two points as much as Watkins' goal.
00:13:58Brilliant, brilliant clearance from Cash.
00:13:59Yeah, certainly was.
00:14:00Bournemouth have confirmed tonight that Alex Scott has fractured his jaw.
00:14:06The midfielder was substituted at half-time.
00:14:08He had a collision, didn't he, with Tyrone Mings.
00:14:11And, well, let's say that Emery's not happy.
00:14:14He says the elbow was very, very violent.
00:14:16What do you think, Ashley?
00:14:17You start.
00:14:18Yeah, I think it's the height difference in this.
00:14:21I think we're going to see from the other angle that Tyrone Mings does have a little look to see where the pressure's coming from.
00:14:26Just about there.
00:14:28So he knows he's under pressure, and he puts his arm out to protect the ball.
00:14:32Unfortunately, it hits him in the jaw, and obviously that's a nasty collision.
00:14:35I don't think he means it.
00:14:37Only Tyrone Mings knows if he means that.
00:14:39Yeah, I mean, Irel is obviously saying he's moved the elbow.
00:14:42I'm not sure he's actually moved the elbow towards him.
00:14:44He's just put his arm out.
00:14:45It seems like he's trying to protect the ball.
00:14:47And also, Scott's running it quite hard.
00:14:49You think it's a bad one, don't you?
00:14:51I kind of disagree a little bit.
00:14:52I think he knows what he's doing.
00:14:53Ashley's right.
00:14:53He does have a look at him, and he straight arms.
00:14:55I know he doesn't swing the elbow, but he straight arms him across the jaw.
00:14:58And, as you say, a fractured jaw for Alex Scott.
00:15:00He had to go off at half-time.
00:15:01It's a nasty one.
00:15:02Well, either way, let's hope he recovers quickly.
00:15:05Pep Guardiola said yesterday it's been the toughest season of his managerial career.
00:15:10Manchester City could still finish second and win the FA Cup.
00:15:13If that's tough, imagine being a Southampton fan.
00:15:16The two sides met at St Mary's.
00:15:18Simon Brotherton was watching.
00:15:21James Bree and Wellington come into the Southampton side with Kyle Walker-Peters Unwell and Ryan Manning on the bench.
00:15:28Tyler Dibbling also starts in preference to Ross Stewart as they look for a record-avoiding 12th point of the season.
00:15:34Erling Haaland returns from injury for Manchester City for his first appearance since the FA Cup quarter-final at Bournemouth at the end of March.
00:15:43It's one of five changes made by Pep Guardiola, with Rico Lewis and Manuel Akanji in at the back, and starts two for Phil Foden and James McAtee.
00:15:51Not a fixture that Southampton have enjoyed at the best of times in recent years.
00:15:58Just one win from the last 15 meetings in the league with Manchester City.
00:16:04City winning 4-1 13 months ago on their last visit.
00:16:07Gugachukwu, the loaning from Chelsea, gives it away.
00:16:12Too short for Suleimane.
00:16:16Now, referee had a little think about that before rewarding the free kick for the challenge on Kevin De Bruyne.
00:16:23Southampton's captain, Jack Stephens, leads the protest, but there it was an untidy one.
00:16:29Upending the Manchester City player.
00:16:33Here's De Bruyne, floats it across, and Guardiola was almost there at the far post.
00:16:38Good defensive interception there by Flynn Downs.
00:16:42And there will be a check by the video assistant referee for a challenge inside the penalty area, I think, by Taylor Harwood-Beles on Manuel Akanji.
00:16:52It has been checked and cleared.
00:16:54Well, there's the man in interim charge at St Mary's, Simon Rusk, in for the final few matches, coming in after they were already relegated.
00:17:03To take over from Ivan Juric, who departed the club the day after relegation was confirmed.
00:17:11Foden.
00:17:11The non-awarding of a free kick from referee Robinson, but here comes Kevin De Bruyne, a challenge by Ubertuk.
00:17:24That will be a free kick, though.
00:17:28Foden's back on his feet, so is Kevin De Bruyne.
00:17:30Manchester City have a free kick just outside the Southampton penalty area.
00:17:36This is where it's come from.
00:17:37De Bruyne and Foden, the two players either side of the ball.
00:17:44It's going to be plan B.
00:17:46It's just over the top from Kevin De Bruyne.
00:17:50Up and over the wall and down again, but not quite enough to send it underneath the crossbar.
00:17:57Here's Kovacic.
00:17:59And Lewis.
00:18:00Harlem Waits in the middle.
00:18:03Akanji staying up on the edge of the six-yard box as well.
00:18:07And once more, nothing for Manchester City to get on the end of.
00:18:12They're asking the officials to take a look at a challenge inside the penalty area as the ball came over.
00:18:19But the video assistant referee, Matt Donoghue, has backed the on-field decision of referee Robinson.
00:18:25Yes, go Guardiol.
00:18:35Slightly misjudged.
00:18:37Hasn't gone out of play, though.
00:18:39And Doku's won it.
00:18:40Brilliant play from Jeremy Doku, but cleared.
00:18:43Only as far as Kovacic, the block made by a re-boat.
00:18:45Manchester City almost creating something out of what seemed to be nothing as the ball originally headed over towards the corner flag.
00:18:55And the shot deflecting away off Joe Uribo's backside.
00:19:03This is a kanji.
00:19:07Foden trying to get away from Fernandes.
00:19:12Referee Robinson had a little think about it for a moment, but it will be a Manchester City free kick.
00:19:17Rites Fernandes for upending Phil Foden.
00:19:23Diving in.
00:19:24And an opportunity to cause a real problem for the hosts now from just outside the area.
00:19:31Goalless at St Mary's.
00:19:34Foden tries to change that.
00:19:36Stretching, trying to meet it at the far post.
00:19:39But on this occasion, no joy for Erling Haaland.
00:19:41Just under half an hour to go.
00:19:46The atmosphere is currently better than the game.
00:19:54Here's Jeremy Doku.
00:19:55Great ball in.
00:19:57Right across the face of goal and behind.
00:19:59Jack Stephens.
00:20:00Right place at the right time.
00:20:03Bernardo Silva denied.
00:20:06It's the closest Manchester City have come to taking the lead.
00:20:11De Bruyne.
00:20:21Foden.
00:20:22Nice to settle for a corner.
00:20:28De Bruyne feeling the love from the travelling fans right behind him there in that corner of the stadium.
00:20:33Down the header down.
00:20:38Flapped away by Ramsdale and then cleared.
00:20:45The header from Akanji.
00:20:47Beaten away by Aaron Ramsdale and cleared by Joe Eribo.
00:20:52Inside the final 15 minutes.
00:20:55Here come Manchester City.
00:20:56De Bruyne.
00:20:57Into Haaland.
00:20:59Held up by Bednarak.
00:21:00Here's a chance.
00:21:01Oh, Nico O'Reilly.
00:21:03It would have been his first touch, having come off the bench.
00:21:09Well, he hasn't had much by way of goal-scoring opportunity so far in this match.
00:21:13His first game since the end of March.
00:21:15But Haaland almost providing the opportunity for Nico O'Reilly.
00:21:19It's with Jeremy Docku once more.
00:21:22Manchester City remaining on the front foot.
00:21:25De Bruyne.
00:21:27Held up by Downs.
00:21:29It's a valiant, stubborn resistance here from the Premier League's bottom club.
00:21:35As the minutes tick by.
00:21:37Haaland at the far post.
00:21:38Here's a chance.
00:21:41Saved by Ramsdale.
00:21:42To deny Savino.
00:21:48Manchester City still probing patiently, hoping to make the breakthrough.
00:21:57To De Bruyne's corner.
00:21:59A header away by Wellington.
00:22:06Bernardo Silva.
00:22:07This is Mateo Kovacic.
00:22:13Bernardo Silva again.
00:22:15Looks inviting.
00:22:16Over the top.
00:22:18Via the glove.
00:22:19Of Aaron Ramsdale.
00:22:22Nicely flighted ball.
00:22:24Met by the head of Ruben Diaz.
00:22:26That Diaz sees his effort.
00:22:28Pushed over the top by Ramsdale.
00:22:29Doesn't quite fall for Savino.
00:22:38Good play by Fernandes.
00:22:40He has conceded it though.
00:22:41Marmouche!
00:22:43The crossbar continues to rattle.
00:22:46Docku.
00:22:47Good interception.
00:22:48James Bree.
00:22:49Manchester City so close in added time.
00:22:52Omar Marmouche with a thunderous shot.
00:22:55Smacking the crossbar.
00:22:57Small boat.
00:23:06In towards Cameron Archer.
00:23:09Archer with Stewart there and it's Edison at the near post.
00:23:13The stadium was rocking there at the prospect of a late winner perhaps for Southampton.
00:23:19Flynn Downs challenges for it.
00:23:28It's a result that nobody saw coming.
00:23:31A point game for Southampton.
00:23:34Two points dropped for Manchester City.
00:23:36Southampton avoid the all-time low points record for the Premier League season.
00:23:45But Manchester City dropped two big points in the race for Champions League football.
00:23:50It's finished at St Mary's.
00:23:53Southampton 0-0.
00:23:54Manchester City 0-0.
00:23:57Going into the game I think it was really important.
00:23:59I want to be clear and I wanted to be clear with everyone that we're fighting for an immense amount of pride.
00:24:04For the football club in general.
00:24:05And we wanted to aspire to be as strong as possible towards the end of the season.
00:24:11And put in the best possible performances.
00:24:13And we've done that today in an abundance.
00:24:15So I think we can be really pleased with that.
00:24:16And nice to see the supporters enjoy that.
00:24:17It was difficult having players in the penalty spot.
00:24:20First half we did a little bit of creativity for the sides.
00:24:23We then played with the winger.
00:24:24Second five years better.
00:24:24And we had our chances but unfortunately we could not have scored.
00:24:28A team like Heathrow like EDIT.
00:24:31And yeah, play to defend and defend and defend and waste time.
00:24:35And we miss to, you know, to take the rhythm.
00:24:39It's frustrating to play a team like them.
00:24:41They don't even try to play.
00:24:42They're just wasting time the whole game.
00:24:44I don't even know.
00:24:45I don't even feel like they want to play the game or win the game.
00:24:48They're just sitting around.
00:24:49But it is what it is.
00:24:50We're not happy at all of how the season's gone.
00:24:53But we're definitely happy with the fact that we've managed to avoid that record.
00:24:59We're certainly under no illusion that it's still not a great points tally.
00:25:03But it's that one off our back.
00:25:06The fans are obviously very happy in the sun, smiling.
00:25:11As Aaron says there, Southampton have avoided the ignominy of the lowest points tally in Premier League history.
00:25:17That still is Derby's pleasure.
00:25:20Southampton, though, tweeted the following.
00:25:24Sorry if we got your hopes up, Derby, which is slightly cheeky.
00:25:28Ruben Diaz wasn't exactly complimentary about Shea, about the way that Southampton approached the game.
00:25:34But they needed that point.
00:25:35I mean, if they'd gone gung-ho, they would have lost one.
00:25:37It's up to City to break them down.
00:25:39It is. And especially, you've conceded 82 goals in the Premier League this season, which is horrendous.
00:25:43Obviously, that's why they had 11 points before the start of today's proceedings.
00:25:46So, for Southampton, this is the heat map.
00:25:48This is where most of the game took place.
00:25:50We'll show you a couple of examples, Gary, of how Southampton set up.
00:25:55You know, they're really compact in the middle, of course.
00:25:57They tried to send them wide and send them back.
00:25:59They left them space on the wings and left Diaz and Akanji have plenty of the ball.
00:26:02But if you look at the Southampton players, they're all so compact in the middle, forcing them back, forcing them back, and frustrating them.
00:26:09And I take Diaz's point, but at the same time, when you're lacking confidence, when you're down there conceding too many goals,
00:26:15this will give them some sort of a boost in the sense we've kept out the champions.
00:26:18We've kept it tight at the back.
00:26:20Then they give up space.
00:26:21They play with no wingers first half, Guardiola down the left.
00:26:24And again, look at the many Southampton bodies around the box, getting to the ball, getting tight, picking up in the box.
00:26:29Just there's no room, Gary.
00:26:30You could stick a blanket nearly around the whole Southampton team.
00:26:33But as you say, Gary, it's up to Man City to break them down.
00:26:36Again, down, steps out onto Diaz, forcing them back, getting them up the pitch.
00:26:40Yes, they didn't leave the 18-yard box too much during the game.
00:26:43But again, they were quite happy to let City have the ball.
00:26:46And then when they did cross it, again, watch the squadron all around the back.
00:26:49And look at the many bodies in the box.
00:26:50When Haaland's there, what, six Southampton players and one in a dangerous goal-scoring area.
00:26:55It's not good enough.
00:26:55You've got to commit bodies into the box if you want to score a goal.
00:26:57Again, second half, probably very much of the same, really.
00:27:00You know, Foden mishits a shot.
00:27:02Again, Silva, bodies on the line, getting blocks in, getting their bodies away, clearing it, squeezing the box again.
00:27:08I mean, we could have copied and pasted this, no joke, on 10, 15 times.
00:27:11It was the same the whole game.
00:27:13Again, this comes to Silva, which is for clearance of Jack Stephens off the line.
00:27:16I love that as a defender, as a goalkeeper, never give it up.
00:27:19Defend the goal for your life.
00:27:20I'll bet you did.
00:27:21Nice to see Haaland back as well today.
00:27:23He's been out for seven weeks, of course, every cup next week.
00:27:26And look at this, Wellington getting himself back.
00:27:28Wellington just getting his boot to that.
00:27:29Brilliant clearance from that.
00:27:32But watch, it's a brilliant defender because he could have given that up.
00:27:34Look, he just gets a touch, takes it away from Riley for a tap-in for him.
00:27:37And again, you know, the frustrating thing for me is maybe from a Guardiola point of view,
00:27:40could he have made the subs clear or sort of sooner in the game, perhaps, you know?
00:27:45This time, a bit of communications between Kovacic and Servinho.
00:27:47If Kovacic gives him a shout, he comes on to that and has an easier chance.
00:27:50And this is really into the last kick-ins of the game.
00:27:53Look, Marmouche in the picture comes in the shot.
00:27:55Marmouche came on in the 85th minute, Gary, and probably done more in five minutes
00:27:58than sort of most of the other team.
00:28:00I just think it's frustrating from a Manchester City point of view
00:28:04that they could have done more.
00:28:05Yes, it's frustrating, and Diaz and Guardiola are unhappy after the game.
00:28:09But I think they could have done more.
00:28:10They break them down.
00:28:10It's interesting, isn't it?
00:28:11You know, of the six games where Manchester City have had the most shots
00:28:15without scoring, three of them were against Southampton.
00:28:19A bit of a bogey side in that sense.
00:28:21It was the first game back, as Shea said, for Haaland after a few weeks.
00:28:26How do you think he looked?
00:28:27Because the cup final coming up next week.
00:28:29Yeah, I think it was a frustrating afternoon for him.
00:28:32Disappointed, really.
00:28:33I think he'll be, and with the service as well, you see straight away,
00:28:37that's a great run in between the centre-backs.
00:28:39That ball's got to go into him early.
00:28:41He lives on balls like that, and it's not come.
00:28:44You can see he has to readjust and try and get around the back stick.
00:28:48He looked hungry.
00:28:49He looked like he wanted the ball.
00:28:50This is off a corner.
00:28:51Obviously, he puts it back into a dangerous area.
00:28:53No one really there at the end of it.
00:28:57Here, you see his positioning.
00:28:59That's brilliant from a centre-forward.
00:29:01He's in between the two centre-backs again.
00:29:03He wants the ball earlier.
00:29:04He needs the service.
00:29:05In the end, when he gets it, he can't really do anything with that.
00:29:10The quality's not there for him, so there's not much he can do.
00:29:13Here, this is good defending.
00:29:15I think, as Shea's just pointed out from Southampton,
00:29:17he has to reset and start again back to Kovacic.
00:29:20And it was like that all afternoon for him.
00:29:23This time, they get a little bit of a break,
00:29:25and then you see his speed and his power.
00:29:26That's what we're used to seeing.
00:29:28Just when you need to slide him in,
00:29:29just put the ball in the area and he'll tap it away.
00:29:32Bad pass from Daku behind him.
00:29:34He can't do nothing.
00:29:35He punches the crossbar in frustration.
00:29:37He looks sharp there, though, ready for the cup final.
00:29:38Yeah, yeah, he looks sharp.
00:29:41So, if that ball goes in on the first run from Foden,
00:29:43I think he probably scores that goal.
00:29:45Because he's only as good as the service he's got.
00:29:48Yeah, it's tightening up.
00:29:50If you can see, there's City with 65.
00:29:52And then if Newcastle and Chelsea draw tomorrow,
00:29:55they go to 64.
00:29:56If Forrest beat Leicester, which is likely,
00:29:58they'll go to 64.
00:29:59Villa on 62.
00:30:01I mean, it's incredibly tight now, isn't it?
00:30:03I mean, the big game, as you mentioned there, Gary.
00:30:06Newcastle, Chelsea, 12 o'clock tomorrow.
00:30:08If Newcastle with home advantage can get that,
00:30:10then it gives them a huge lift going into the last couple of games.
00:30:12Last game of the season.
00:30:13It's all tight, isn't it?
00:30:14Yeah, Forrest, Chelsea, that could decide things.
00:30:17Fulham still harboured hopes of a Europa Conference League place.
00:30:20Everton have won just one of their last ten
00:30:22since moving clear of the relegation places.
00:30:25Steve Bauer was at Craven Cottage.
00:30:28After six defeats in their last ten Premier League games,
00:30:32it's all about winning now for Fulham
00:30:33to keep their European dream alive.
00:30:36They're without six first-teamers today, though,
00:30:39including injured captain Anthony Robinson,
00:30:41Smith-Rowe and Pereira both return.
00:30:44Everton, who've lost only two of their last ten league visits
00:30:48here to Craven Cottage, make four changes.
00:30:51Jake O'Brien is injured, so Michael Keane starts,
00:30:54as do to Corey Harrison and 39-year-old Ashley Young.
00:30:59Marco Silva runs in charge, of course, of Everton,
00:31:05and able to influence matters from the technical area today
00:31:08whilst he serves that touchline ban.
00:31:13Good shot, I said, between Bassi and Beto.
00:31:17Smith-Rowe able to find Iwobi.
00:31:19Sessegnon flying on the overlap.
00:31:23It's created the space for Iwobi.
00:31:25Fairly routine stop for Pickford in the end.
00:31:30He's in fine form at the moment, Alex Iwobi.
00:31:32Confidence sky-high.
00:31:37They've only lost four games since he came back to the club,
00:31:41and only four teams have been beaten on fewer occasions in that period
00:31:45and much more difficult to play against.
00:31:49Now the challenge is to make them more potent at the other end.
00:31:53Everton this season, only 21 goals from open play.
00:31:59Sessegnon.
00:32:01Smith-Rowe.
00:32:02He's able to lift that in.
00:32:04What's Raul Jimenez?
00:32:05Who attacked it and headed Fulham in front.
00:32:13Well, it's dream service as far as the Mexicans are concerned.
00:32:18And no doubt there that Jimenez wanted that the most.
00:32:24It's his sixth Premier League career goal against Everton,
00:32:27created here by Smith-Rowe.
00:32:29But watch Jimenez get a jump on Mikhelenko.
00:32:33And from that moment on,
00:32:34there was only one outcome.
00:32:37And that was his 13th goal of the season.
00:32:43Burke.
00:32:49Wilson.
00:32:54We've seen him do that on a number of occasions.
00:32:57He knew exactly what he was trying to do,
00:32:59and very nearly executed it.
00:33:03Mikhelenko.
00:33:04There's a slip there by the Ukrainian.
00:33:10And Raul Jimenez is onto it.
00:33:12He's got Wilson in support here.
00:33:15Trying to guide it through.
00:33:16Back to Jimenez.
00:33:18Iwobi!
00:33:18Well, it was half a chance.
00:33:23Mikhelenko's the most relieved man.
00:33:25He's trying to guide that into the top corner.
00:33:28Wilson quite dipping anywhere near enough.
00:33:31Alcaraz, he's been robbed by Pereira.
00:33:41Jimenez back to Wilson.
00:33:44Important moments, these for Everton just before half-time.
00:33:47Wilson looking for the room for a shot.
00:33:48He got it!
00:33:49And Pickford denied him.
00:33:51And Pickford denied him.
00:33:53Decent stop from Jordan Pickford.
00:33:55And you knew when he cut in what he wanted.
00:33:58Oh, and that was arrowing in as well.
00:34:01Bramfway.
00:34:11Early from Mikhelenko.
00:34:14Passy won the aerial duel.
00:34:17Pereira didn't make that, though.
00:34:18This is Alcaraz.
00:34:21Went for goal himself.
00:34:22Tried to squeeze that past lane over his near post.
00:34:26Gave him the eyes.
00:34:27Didn't work.
00:34:30Pereira should have done better.
00:34:32Initially.
00:34:33A little bit of hesitation.
00:34:36That was nervous from Fulham's point of view.
00:34:39Decore.
00:34:41That's deflected and in.
00:34:42Mikhelenko.
00:34:47Right on the stroke of half-time has levelled it up for Everton.
00:34:52With just his fourth ever goal for the club.
00:34:56With a huge slice of luck that deceived Bert Leno.
00:35:00But it's got Everton level.
00:35:02From nowhere, really.
00:35:04With almost the last kick of the half.
00:35:12Lovely ball from Anderson.
00:35:14And the layback from Smith-Rowe.
00:35:16Sessegnon.
00:35:17Iwobi.
00:35:18Sessegnon!
00:35:21Pigford improvised.
00:35:25The left-hand side triangle.
00:35:27That's it again here for Fulham.
00:35:28All involved.
00:35:30Sessegnon's effort.
00:35:32And Pigford saw that late as well.
00:35:34Tete.
00:35:46Wilson.
00:35:46He saw Pickford off his line.
00:35:49And Pigford produces one right out of the top draw.
00:35:54And he's hurt himself as well the way he landed.
00:35:58But Harry Wilson here.
00:36:01Look at the awareness here.
00:36:02But Pigford recovered brilliantly.
00:36:05Fingertips.
00:36:06Full stretch.
00:36:08Rodacious effort from Wilson.
00:36:13McNeil.
00:36:15Alcaraz.
00:36:16Went for the return.
00:36:20And there's just a slight deflection of Joachim Andersson there.
00:36:24For an Everton corner.
00:36:26Now can they conjure anything up from the corner?
00:36:30In from McNeil.
00:36:31Oh, they can!
00:36:32Michael Keane!
00:36:36Came in unnoticed.
00:36:39And powered that header home.
00:36:42Back in the team today.
00:36:44And back with a goal.
00:36:47His 16th for Everton.
00:36:49His third this season.
00:36:51And from one down.
00:36:53They lead 2-1.
00:36:55Brilliant movement from Keane.
00:36:58Excellent delivery.
00:36:59Well, that is a 14th set-piece goal this season for Everton.
00:37:05And this is a huge 18 minutes for Fulham.
00:37:09Beto.
00:37:10Now,
00:37:19Beto.
00:37:21Beto.
00:37:21Beto.
00:37:21Beto.
00:37:21Beto.
00:37:21Alcaraz
00:37:25suddenly three on three here for Everton
00:37:27here goes Beto
00:37:29oh
00:37:31Bernd Leno
00:37:32with a moment he won't want to see again
00:37:35and how big a moment could that be
00:37:38in Fulham's
00:37:39potential European charge
00:37:41because Fulham
00:37:43have conceded two
00:37:45very quick goals
00:37:47Beto with this one
00:37:49and they're 3-1 down
00:37:51delight for Beto
00:37:54who's into double figures for the season
00:37:56the man who got a late
00:37:58equaliser against Fulham
00:38:00at Goodison earlier in the season
00:38:02and Everton suddenly
00:38:04have a 3-1 lead
00:38:06at Craven Cottage
00:38:07Mikhelenko with Traora
00:38:13Mikhelenko recovered that
00:38:18Fulham corner
00:38:20although
00:38:21Fulham were
00:38:23appealing for more than that
00:38:24was his arm out here
00:38:27it was
00:38:29and then the proximity of
00:38:33the ball has to come into play as well
00:38:35so Michael Salisbury
00:38:40is
00:38:42sending Darren England
00:38:44to the screen to have a look at this
00:38:47this is what Darren England is being shown
00:38:54for him to make his decision
00:38:57in front of the watching Fulham gallery
00:39:00now Darren England
00:39:03has overridden
00:39:06Michael Salisbury in VAR
00:39:08and he has stuck
00:39:10with his on-field decision
00:39:13and you can see David Moyes
00:39:14with his hands above his head
00:39:16applauding that decision
00:39:17and this could be
00:39:19potentially damaging
00:39:22for those dreams of playing in Europe next season
00:39:25David well done
00:39:27that was some turnaround
00:39:27terrific three points
00:39:28it was
00:39:29it didn't look that way
00:39:30after the first 20-25 minutes
00:39:32I could say that
00:39:33I thought we were
00:39:33terrible on the ball
00:39:35and gave the ball away
00:39:36and actually
00:39:37maybe on another day
00:39:39if they'd get another go
00:39:40it would have made it really difficult for us
00:39:41but look
00:39:42we stuck at it
00:39:43we're a resilient crew here
00:39:45and the players done a really good job in the end
00:39:48the main things in football
00:39:49that is about focus
00:39:50and concentration
00:39:50we cannot lose
00:39:51and we lost the last few games
00:39:53and we have to react
00:39:54the week is going to be important for us
00:39:56to see
00:39:57to analyse
00:39:58and to work with the players
00:39:59because it will come
00:39:59to be games for us
00:40:00I want to keep getting better and better
00:40:03playing better
00:40:04holding the ball better
00:40:05passing better
00:40:06scoring more goals
00:40:07and I feel that
00:40:09as long as I'm playing
00:40:11I've kept myself improving
00:40:12and I'm really pleased
00:40:15I'm really pleased
00:40:15he's done great
00:40:16I was just saying
00:40:17if he was a 19-year-old striker
00:40:19you'd be saying
00:40:19hey
00:40:19he's got a bit to go
00:40:21and he's going to keep going
00:40:22he's not quite 19
00:40:23but he's certainly improving
00:40:24that's what he is doing
00:40:25and he's given us something
00:40:27since we've come in
00:40:28goals
00:40:29you know
00:40:29and like I said a few weeks ago
00:40:32I hope that
00:40:32if he could get 10
00:40:33I would think it would be
00:40:34a great achievement for him
00:40:35at the moment
00:40:36we saw a VAR decision
00:40:37at the end there
00:40:38with the referee
00:40:39have a good look
00:40:40take his time
00:40:41and stick
00:40:42with his on-field decision
00:40:44but isn't it great
00:40:45that we get someone
00:40:46who makes a decision
00:40:47and sticks with it
00:40:48because he thinks
00:40:49it was correct
00:40:49and he's had a chance
00:40:50to go and see the screen
00:40:51and still chose
00:40:53to make the correct decision
00:40:54and we want referees
00:40:55to go by their own decisions
00:40:57at the right time
00:40:58but I do think
00:40:59that from what I've seen
00:41:01I think it was the correct decision
00:41:02and the correct call
00:41:03I'm more disappointed
00:41:04VAR called him now
00:41:05to the screen
00:41:06in the first place
00:41:06we'll come to that
00:41:08Beto scored again today
00:41:10didn't he Ashley
00:41:11lots of talk of changes
00:41:13at Everton
00:41:14coming up this summer
00:41:15can you see him
00:41:16leading the line next season
00:41:17I think David Moyes
00:41:19will want somebody else
00:41:20but I think he's a very
00:41:21very good second option
00:41:22he's proved that
00:41:23since David Moyes
00:41:24has come in
00:41:24he works so hard
00:41:25for the team
00:41:26and his movement
00:41:27is actually quite good
00:41:28as you see here
00:41:29that's a good run
00:41:30just off his defender
00:41:32and he tries to play
00:41:34in the opposite wide man
00:41:35here again
00:41:36that's a good run
00:41:37in between the centre half
00:41:38down into the channel
00:41:38he does that ever so well
00:41:40and then now he's trying
00:41:41to find somebody in the box
00:41:42and he does this all game
00:41:44for his team
00:41:45and that's what you want
00:41:46from your striker
00:41:47just making that
00:41:47into out run
00:41:48which is difficult to mark
00:41:50centre backs
00:41:50don't want to go out there
00:41:51sometimes yes
00:41:52he lacks a little bit of quality
00:41:53with his end product
00:41:54but he's seen
00:41:55picking up the ball
00:41:56on the halfway line
00:41:57holding it up
00:41:58which he's very good at
00:41:59which is
00:41:59you know
00:42:00if you've got someone
00:42:01at the front that can do that
00:42:02it's always good for your team
00:42:04gets his shot away early
00:42:06I think
00:42:07as we see it
00:42:08Bert Leno will
00:42:09will be disappointed
00:42:10Shea with that
00:42:11he should have done better
00:42:12but with better
00:42:13I think he's been brilliant
00:42:14since David Moyes has come in
00:42:16they needed someone
00:42:16who was powerful
00:42:17and strong up front
00:42:18you see
00:42:19he's amongst good company
00:42:20in the stat
00:42:21in the graphic
00:42:22that we're showing you
00:42:23he only had one goal
00:42:24before David Moyes come in
00:42:25so he's done really well
00:42:26he's certainly found something
00:42:27isn't it
00:42:28once again
00:42:28Jordan Pickford
00:42:29played an important part
00:42:31he's a very consistent
00:42:32goalkeeper
00:42:33isn't he Shady
00:42:33I think that's a sign
00:42:34of a good goalkeeper
00:42:35at least amount of mistakes
00:42:36you know
00:42:36sort of does what it says
00:42:38in the tin
00:42:38makes big saves
00:42:39and important moments
00:42:40him and Wilson
00:42:40had a bit of a 1v1 today
00:42:42in a sense
00:42:42they were a battle
00:42:43all afternoon
00:42:44this is a brilliant save
00:42:45you know
00:42:45Wilson reverses it
00:42:46into the sort of near post
00:42:47takes a little deflection
00:42:48on the way through as well
00:42:49Gary
00:42:49and that's a brilliant save
00:42:50around the post
00:42:51this save is probably
00:42:52more basic
00:42:53but he does save it
00:42:54a wee bit late
00:42:54from Sessionjohn
00:42:55and the good thing
00:42:56about this save
00:42:56he manages to shove it
00:42:57away from danger
00:42:58you know
00:42:58see keepers parrying
00:42:59into the danger zone
00:42:59he bangs it away
00:43:00with his left hand
00:43:01has he improved that side?
00:43:03I think it has
00:43:03because sometimes
00:43:04you see keepers
00:43:04coming away from him
00:43:06and going into their body
00:43:06but this is a brilliant save
00:43:08this is probably
00:43:08the pick of the bunch
00:43:09actually
00:43:09and the reason is that
00:43:10he's probably made
00:43:10the wrong decision
00:43:11he's come through there
00:43:12he realises then
00:43:13he's coming in no man's land
00:43:15so he has to move
00:43:15his feet so so quick
00:43:17and get back in
00:43:17to get that away
00:43:18watch this brilliant
00:43:19you know effort
00:43:20from Harry Wilson
00:43:20and look at that
00:43:21for a save
00:43:21that's the pick of the bunch
00:43:22at the end
00:43:23the pick foot of the bush
00:43:24oh I like that
00:43:25great save
00:43:25good stuff
00:43:27an unusual occurrence
00:43:29he mentioned that
00:43:30David Moyes
00:43:30delighted by it
00:43:31as well he would be
00:43:32referee Darren England
00:43:33went to the screen
00:43:35and didn't actually
00:43:36change his decision
00:43:38first time I think
00:43:39this season
00:43:40just about
00:43:40that's happened
00:43:41it is quite refreshing
00:43:41we were watching
00:43:42obviously the games
00:43:43this afternoon
00:43:43and we said
00:43:44that's very harsh
00:43:45Michael Enkel's
00:43:45running back into position
00:43:46we say when defenders
00:43:47put their hands
00:43:47behind their back
00:43:48it's not natural
00:43:49he's just running
00:43:49into position
00:43:50he's trying to get
00:43:51his hand out
00:43:51Michael Salisbury
00:43:52calls him over to the VAR
00:43:53and David Moyes
00:43:54I love David Moyes
00:43:55his reaction
00:43:55he's clapping
00:43:55him as well
00:43:56but great credit
00:43:57to Darren England
00:43:57he said no
00:43:58it's not a penalty
00:43:58and for me
00:43:59it's the right decision
00:44:00agreed
00:44:00five games
00:44:01and match of the day
00:44:02two
00:44:03and that is the Premier League one
00:44:08he wasn't going to miss that one
00:44:11for the run
00:44:13and a finish to match
00:44:14that means a lot
00:44:16to the boys in blue
00:44:18and there's the goal
00:44:19Harry Maguire
00:44:21this is the FA Cup final

00:45:23who'd won their last three
00:45:25at Molyneux
00:45:25John Rohder
00:45:26watch this one
00:45:27Gonzalo Guedes
00:45:30makes his first start
00:45:31since mid-February
00:45:32in the only change
00:45:33for Wolves
00:45:33the Portuguese striker
00:45:34hasn't scored in
00:45:3514 appearances
00:45:36in all competitions
00:45:37Wolves have earned
00:45:3932 of their 41 points
00:45:40this season
00:45:41under Vito Pereira
00:45:42named this week
00:45:43as April's
00:45:44Premier League
00:45:45Manager of the Month
00:45:45Adam Webster
00:45:47comes into central defence
00:45:48for Brighton
00:45:49Lewis Dunk
00:45:50is ruled out
00:45:50because of injury
00:45:51Jan-Paul Van Hecker
00:45:53Brighton's player
00:45:54of the season
00:45:54says that although
00:45:55Fabian Herzler
00:45:56doesn't want to talk
00:45:57about a challenge
00:45:58for a European place
00:45:59it is definitely
00:46:00a subject for discussion
00:46:01amongst the players
00:46:02with three matches
00:46:03remaining
00:46:04before kick-off
00:46:08we pay tribute
00:46:09to two former
00:46:10Wolves players
00:46:10who have recently
00:46:11passed away
00:46:12Dave Woodfield
00:46:13and Peter McFarlane
00:46:15Wolves defeat
00:46:19at Manchester City
00:46:20last time out
00:46:21ended a run
00:46:22of six successive
00:46:23Premier League victories
00:46:25Brighton have won
00:46:27only once
00:46:28in the Premier League
00:46:30of late
00:46:31beating West Ham
00:46:323-2 at the Amex
00:46:34a fortnight ago
00:46:35that's a wall three kick
00:46:37Tarek Lamptey
00:46:41Cunha's delivery
00:46:48that's a really good one
00:46:50and it's only just over
00:46:51Ranguedes
00:46:52and it maybe
00:46:54should have been
00:46:54the first goal
00:46:55of the afternoon
00:46:56Cunha spreads it wide
00:47:02Totti rising
00:47:06it's over a year
00:47:09since Totti Gomez
00:47:10last scored
00:47:11in April of last year
00:47:13in a victory here
00:47:14over Luton
00:47:15Cunha curls it
00:47:19into the middle
00:47:19UEFA gets it away
00:47:20Munetze
00:47:22and again
00:47:25the Zimbabwean
00:47:26international
00:47:27Saar
00:47:30that was a dangerous
00:47:31ball
00:47:31O'Reilly
00:47:32goalkeeper's out
00:47:33of his goal
00:47:34great chance
00:47:35here
00:47:35can't be taken
00:47:38though
00:47:38well yet
00:47:40Kuba Minte
00:47:40well that was
00:47:43a very anxious
00:47:44moment at the back
00:47:45there for Wolves
00:47:46and Minte
00:47:48couldn't do the rest
00:47:50Brighton haven't lost to Wolves
00:47:54in their last six
00:47:55Premier League meetings
00:47:57four victories for the Seagulls
00:47:59and two draws
00:48:00including earlier this season
00:48:01problem there for Belieber
00:48:04free kick taken quickly
00:48:06Lamptey
00:48:07what a deflection on the way through
00:48:10might help right now
00:48:11it's been squeezed in
00:48:12by Danny Welbeck
00:48:13a moment of
00:48:16personal satisfaction
00:48:17for Danny Welbeck
00:48:18except
00:48:20his smiles
00:48:22are going to soon
00:48:23disappear
00:48:24the flag
00:48:25raised on this
00:48:26near side
00:48:27it's not Danny Welbeck
00:48:29whose positioning
00:48:30is being questioned
00:48:31it's the
00:48:33Ancuba Minte
00:48:34this is taking
00:48:36quite some
00:48:36time
00:48:37the check
00:48:39has been completed
00:48:40and Danny Welbeck
00:48:42is not
00:48:44going to get
00:48:44his 10th Premier League
00:48:46goal of the season
00:48:47it's an obvious
00:48:49action to try
00:48:50and play the ball
00:48:51from Minte
00:48:52which might have
00:48:53affected
00:48:54Jose Saar
00:48:55Welbeck's physicality
00:49:03means he comes away
00:49:04with possession
00:49:04O'Reilly
00:49:06arriving late
00:49:08there was
00:49:08Ayari
00:49:09yes
00:49:12in Ayari
00:49:13who got his first goal
00:49:14for Brighton
00:49:15in the win over West Ham
00:49:16a fortnight ago
00:49:17under pressure
00:49:23from Wiefer
00:49:23it's Mats Wiefer
00:49:24was he fouled?
00:49:26he was
00:49:26by Matthias
00:49:29Cunha
00:49:30and just moments
00:49:32after having a goal
00:49:33ruled out by VAR
00:49:34Brighton have the
00:49:35opportunity
00:49:36to take the lead
00:49:37from the penalty spot
00:49:38Cunha
00:49:39when he picked up
00:49:41the ball
00:49:41Wiefer was on him
00:49:42in a flash
00:49:43there's the challenge
00:49:44that sends Wiefer
00:49:46tumbling
00:49:46Welbeck
00:49:51up against Saar
00:49:53to give Brighton
00:49:54the lead
00:49:54Danny Welbeck
00:49:56scores
00:49:57and now
00:50:00he does get
00:50:00ten Premier League
00:50:02goals in a season
00:50:03for the first time
00:50:04in his career
00:50:05and Brighton
00:50:06and Brighton are in front
00:50:07and those supporters
00:50:08will feel
00:50:09perhaps that
00:50:10they were due that
00:50:11will be due that
00:50:18loses out to Andre
00:50:19Jal Gomez
00:50:21still going
00:50:22Gomez
00:50:23plays it wide
00:50:25to Semedo
00:50:26in towards Munetzi
00:50:28Munetzi has scored just once for Wolves
00:50:33since joining in February
00:50:35from Reims
00:50:37in France
00:50:38Totty comes forward
00:50:43ignore it
00:50:46Totty's stayed down
00:50:48Michael Oliver says
00:50:49play on
00:50:50ball into the middle
00:50:52away by Estupinian
00:50:53it's been a very subdued performance from Wolves
00:51:03so far this afternoon
00:51:04Wolves still alive
00:51:07Totty is down
00:51:09Lapte is down for Brighton
00:51:12Michael Oliver's having none of it
00:51:16play continues
00:51:18Kunja with the shot
00:51:22and pushed wide
00:51:23by Verbruggen
00:51:24Wolves best chance of the match
00:51:26lovely interplay
00:51:28Kunja's shot
00:51:30might well have just been going wide
00:51:33Verbruggen made sure
00:51:35but Rupel change
00:51:38Larsson
00:51:39Rodrigo Gomez
00:51:40Sarabia and Belgaard
00:51:42all coming on for Wolves
00:51:44Bruder and Adinga
00:51:46for Brighton
00:51:47work wide by Sarabia
00:51:50ignore it
00:51:51Larsson's in the middle
00:51:52just away by Estupinian
00:51:55who was first to react
00:51:56after Verbruggen got that touch
00:51:58great chance this
00:52:00for Wolves to draw level
00:52:01the interception from Brad Hecker
00:52:03and then away
00:52:05from Estupinian
00:52:06the tempo of Wolves play
00:52:10has increased significantly
00:52:12since that
00:52:13mass substitution
00:52:14forward by Agbado
00:52:18Strand Larsson
00:52:19took it down wonderfully
00:52:21Reionite-Nore
00:52:22can he get the shot away?
00:52:23he can't
00:52:24maybe Belgaard can
00:52:27but over
00:52:29from the substitute
00:52:31and the frustration
00:52:33amongst the Wolves supporters
00:52:34intensifies
00:52:36time is running out for those
00:52:39in old goal
00:52:40Sarabia
00:52:44Rufa is there
00:52:47Adinga
00:52:51little gap opened up
00:52:54Brian Gruder
00:52:552-0
00:52:56it's his first goal
00:52:59it's his first goal
00:52:59for Brighton and Hove Albion
00:53:00and what a moment
00:53:02for the German
00:53:03under-21 international
00:53:05and it's a deft finish
00:53:09over Jose Sarabia
00:53:11Brighton's European ambitions
00:53:15very much alive
00:53:16Wolves nil
00:53:18Brighton
00:53:182-0
00:53:19Brian Gruder
00:53:20with his first goal
00:53:21for Brighton
00:53:22you could see
00:53:23how much it meant for him
00:53:24how pleased are you for him?
00:53:25it's always
00:53:26I just said it in the locker room
00:53:27it's always difficult
00:53:28when a German
00:53:29tries to make a compliment
00:53:30to a German
00:53:31so
00:53:31I had to give him one
00:53:33because he sacrificed a lot
00:53:35he suffered a lot
00:53:36in his first year
00:53:37in the Premier League
00:53:38defensively
00:53:39it was a really good performance
00:53:40in possession
00:53:40we could do it better
00:53:42but
00:53:42I was happy
00:53:44that we used the chance
00:53:45to make the second goal
00:53:46we play a lot
00:53:47with our heart
00:53:49in the second half
00:53:49but
00:53:50without intelligence
00:53:52to control the pace
00:53:54when the match
00:53:58goes to this kind of match
00:54:01transitions and transitions
00:54:03and counter transitions
00:54:04we win ball
00:54:06we lose ball
00:54:07and this is not
00:54:09the game that I like
00:54:10because it's unpredictable
00:54:12and in the end
00:54:14they punish us
00:54:15and they deserve to win
00:54:17I think it's
00:54:19five or six wins for them
00:54:20so
00:54:20we knew he was going to be up
00:54:21against a really tough opponent today
00:54:24we had our game plan
00:54:25and we
00:54:26played it out well
00:54:27we still could have done better
00:54:28in certain moments
00:54:29but
00:54:29we got the result
00:54:30and that's what matters most
00:54:31yeah
00:54:32they got the result
00:54:33and double figures
00:54:34for the first time
00:54:36in his career
00:54:37Premier League career
00:54:38for Danny Welbeck
00:54:39ten goals
00:54:41that is of course
00:54:41actually
00:54:42yeah
00:54:43and
00:54:43let's just break this
00:54:44first one down there
00:54:46because
00:54:46Danny Welbeck scores
00:54:47he's not offside
00:54:49so
00:54:50when we were watching it
00:54:51straight away
00:54:51we didn't know
00:54:52but Minta
00:54:53coming in
00:54:53just there
00:54:54at the back stick
00:54:55is offside
00:54:56as you can see here
00:54:57and he does impact
00:54:59the ability
00:55:00of Samedo
00:55:01or Jose
00:55:02look at this
00:55:03virtual graphic
00:55:04that we've got here
00:55:05blimey
00:55:05what's this
00:55:06it's lovely isn't it
00:55:07as the ball comes in
00:55:08does Samedo get
00:55:09if he's not there
00:55:10can Samedo clear that
00:55:11probably yes
00:55:12I think so
00:55:13but that doesn't look
00:55:15anything like him
00:55:16this is
00:55:18this is Cugna
00:55:18I think Cugna's had a couple
00:55:19of suspensions this year
00:55:20I think he's very lucky
00:55:21not to have a third one
00:55:22for me this is
00:55:24this is a red card
00:55:24Weaver's about to pull the trigger
00:55:26there's double jeopardy
00:55:27but that only applies
00:55:28doesn't it
00:55:29if you make a genuine
00:55:30attempt to play the ball
00:55:31and he's clearly not
00:55:32the ball's a bit lower
00:55:32than where he contacts
00:55:33his knee nearly
00:55:34I think it's a red card
00:55:36Michael Oliver should have
00:55:37sent them off
00:55:38I think Cugna is very
00:55:39very lucky
00:55:39and of course
00:55:39have we got a virtual reality
00:55:41thing of that
00:55:41no
00:55:41not yet
00:55:42no
00:55:42that's
00:55:43disappointing
00:55:4423 starts this campaign
00:55:49which is also the most
00:55:50he's ever made in one season
00:55:52Danny Welbeck
00:55:53so well done Danny
00:55:55three straight wins
00:55:56had put Brentford
00:55:57in the mix
00:55:58for the top eight
00:55:59they faced Ipswich
00:56:00who'd lost seven straight games
00:56:01at Portman Road
00:56:02the worst run in their history
00:56:04your commentator
00:56:05Chris Wise
00:56:05Portman Road was meant to be
00:56:09Ipswich's fortress this season
00:56:11but it's turned into an open house
00:56:13they can't stop the drop from here
00:56:15but they can cushion the fall
00:56:17in these final two home games
00:56:18but for Brentford
00:56:20the party just doesn't stop
00:56:21emerging from the pack
00:56:23they're now close to the front of the queue
00:56:24and waiting to see if there's a ticket
00:56:26to the continent
00:56:27for the first time in their history
00:56:29one Ipswich alteration
00:56:31Axel Tuunzebi returns
00:56:32so he might be tasked with
00:56:34entangling with his DR Congo
00:56:35international teammate
00:56:37Johan Wisser
00:56:38who scored goals
00:56:39in each of his last four games
00:56:40Brentford unchanged
00:56:42after that humdinger
00:56:43against Manchester United
00:56:45absolutely glorious afternoon
00:56:50at Portman Road
00:56:51the sky is blue
00:56:52as the Ipswich town shirts
00:56:54now Omari Hutchinson
00:56:57Ipswich's chief creator
00:57:00there's the lad
00:57:00and there is the
00:57:02first test for Mark Flecken
00:57:04in the Brentford goal
00:57:05this is a very good
00:57:10Brentford team
00:57:11they're facing today
00:57:11and a Brentford team
00:57:12that are
00:57:13as in form as anyone
00:57:14right now
00:57:15in the Premier League
00:57:16Tamsgaard
00:57:19and
00:57:20away by O'Shea
00:57:22and Boumo's just going to make sure
00:57:24that does go for a corner
00:57:25Boumo's corner
00:57:30Palmer's
00:57:31and the referee amongst it all
00:57:34has seen a foul
00:57:35by
00:57:36Seth Vandenberg
00:57:37who I think
00:57:39when he heard that whistle
00:57:40might have
00:57:41thought the decision
00:57:43might have been going
00:57:43his way there
00:57:44that's not great
00:57:47from Greaves
00:57:48he does have a bit of a tug
00:57:49at Vandenberg there
00:57:50Jared Gillet
00:57:52the VAR
00:57:52is having a look at this
00:57:53the decision is
00:57:55that no further action
00:57:56is required
00:57:57I think to an extent
00:57:59there
00:57:59Jacob Reeves
00:58:00is a little lucky
00:58:01I hope they're getting
00:58:04as touched tight
00:58:05to Vandenberg
00:58:06from this corner
00:58:07and there's now more
00:58:11problems inside
00:58:12the penalty area
00:58:13and indeed
00:58:13a yellow card
00:58:14as well
00:58:15two of them in fact
00:58:19Christian
00:58:20Norgard's been
00:58:20cautions
00:58:21there's an Ipswich player
00:58:23booked in there
00:58:24as well
00:58:24was it Jack Taylor
00:58:25perhaps
00:58:26and here we go again
00:58:30we might eventually
00:58:30get this corner
00:58:31coming in you know
00:58:32and it comes from
00:58:33Mbumo
00:58:33and the flick on
00:58:34is in
00:58:34and after all of that
00:58:36the opening goal
00:58:37is scored by
00:58:38Kevin Sharder
00:58:39that's four
00:58:42and his last three
00:58:43for the Brentford man
00:58:44and it really is
00:58:47a tremendous finish
00:58:48by Sharder
00:58:49just peeled away
00:58:52towards that near post area
00:58:53but he had it all
00:58:54to do from there
00:58:55and judged it
00:58:57all perfectly
00:58:57that's 11 for him
00:59:00in this Premier League
00:59:01campaign
00:59:02this man's AB
00:59:06this is De Lape
00:59:09who has
00:59:09only really
00:59:10marginally been
00:59:11in this game
00:59:12and Wisser
00:59:12and it's all
00:59:13opening up
00:59:14for Mbumo
00:59:14who's got that chance
00:59:15well that's not like
00:59:19him in recent weeks
00:59:20Brian Mbumo
00:59:22probably should have had
00:59:23Premier League
00:59:24goal number 19
00:59:25of his season
00:59:26Coyote
00:59:29Mbumo
00:59:31Norgaz
00:59:32Mbumo
00:59:33in towards Sharder
00:59:37that first touch
00:59:37was good
00:59:38was he hauled over
00:59:39by Tuanzevi
00:59:40a shake of the head
00:59:42from the referee
00:59:43no team
00:59:47has taken
00:59:47more points
00:59:48away from home
00:59:49or scored
00:59:50more goals
00:59:51away from home
00:59:51in the Premier League
00:59:52in 2025
00:59:53than Brentford
00:59:54here's Damsgaard
00:59:55it's Wisser
00:59:56and Parma
00:59:58didn't need
01:00:00to plunge
01:00:00too far
01:00:01to his left hand side
01:00:02to save it
01:00:03well Johan Wisser
01:00:04very nearly had
01:00:05yet another goal
01:00:06against Ipswich
01:00:06this season
01:00:07he got to
01:00:08in the reverse
01:00:08between them
01:00:09back in West London
01:00:10it's going to be
01:00:11a Brentford throw
01:00:12Coyote
01:00:14that's an unbelievable
01:00:15throw into the box
01:00:16Mbumo
01:00:17not the easiest
01:00:18one to hit
01:00:19and to keep down
01:00:20Coyote
01:00:23Wisser wants a corner
01:00:25and he's going to
01:00:26get one as well
01:00:27now there's
01:00:28more than a few
01:00:29Brentford players
01:00:30around the referee
01:00:31here
01:00:31because there was
01:00:33plenty going on
01:00:33inside that box
01:00:34Collins and
01:00:36Tuanzevi
01:00:37the main two
01:00:38players to keep
01:00:39an eye on
01:00:39that time
01:00:40and at the end
01:00:41of it
01:00:42all
01:00:42Tuanzevi is the
01:00:43one who is
01:00:43hanging on to
01:00:46Nathan Collins
01:00:47and Jared Gillis
01:00:49having a good
01:00:49look at this
01:00:50now finally
01:00:50has decided
01:00:52that they don't
01:00:54need to look at
01:00:54that anymore
01:00:55mutual holding
01:00:56is the word
01:00:57that has come
01:00:58in the air
01:00:58digging deep
01:01:03here Ipswich
01:01:03to keep themselves
01:01:04in the game
01:01:05Mbumo
01:01:06has landed
01:01:08that perfectly
01:01:09for Shada
01:01:09Collins and
01:01:11Vandenberg
01:01:12are still inside
01:01:13that Ipswich
01:01:13penalty area
01:01:14the Brentford
01:01:14defenders
01:01:15Mbumo and
01:01:16Whisser are in
01:01:17there as well
01:01:17Lewis Potter's
01:01:19cross
01:01:19there's the chance
01:01:20Palmer with the
01:01:21save
01:01:21Whisser with the
01:01:22follow-up
01:01:22and then he
01:01:24tried something
01:01:25which would have
01:01:26been outrageous
01:01:27and it's going to be
01:01:30booked for his
01:01:31bicycle kick there
01:01:33Johan Whisser
01:01:34because it's ended
01:01:36up clattering
01:01:37an Ipswich
01:01:37defender in the
01:01:38face
01:01:38brave stuff
01:01:41from Jacob
01:01:42Greaves
01:01:43Ke Uster
01:01:48for Clark
01:01:50this is
01:01:51Nciso
01:01:52he's on the
01:02:20delivery as
01:02:20well
01:02:21behind
01:02:23Sam
01:02:23Barron
01:02:23out of his
01:02:24view
01:02:24as Jacob
01:02:25Greaves
01:02:26has gone
01:02:26to ground
01:02:26here's
01:02:28Hutchinson
01:02:29away as far
01:02:31as Greaves
01:02:32who has
01:02:32struck it
01:02:33wide
01:02:33but immediately
01:02:35the complaints
01:02:35from him
01:02:36are
01:02:36more about
01:02:38what happened
01:02:39just a few
01:02:39seconds prior
01:02:40get a better
01:02:42look here
01:02:42as to
01:02:43how much
01:02:43Yarmaluk
01:02:44was
01:02:44clinging on
01:02:46to Jacob
01:02:46Greaves
01:02:47not enough
01:02:47according to
01:02:48the VAR
01:02:48just had that
01:02:50word in our
01:02:51ear again
01:02:51mutual holding
01:02:52is the phrase
01:02:53of the day
01:02:54oh Vandenberg
01:02:55an error
01:02:56and an opportunity
01:02:58for George
01:02:59Hurst
01:02:59who has
01:03:00scuffed his
01:03:01effort
01:03:01perhaps under
01:03:02some contact
01:03:03from Vandenberg
01:03:04does he
01:03:06click Hurst
01:03:07and then Hurst
01:03:08ends up
01:03:08kicking his
01:03:09own heel
01:03:09I don't
01:03:12think
01:03:12Ipswich are
01:03:13going to
01:03:13get too
01:03:13many golden
01:03:14opportunities
01:03:14like that
01:03:15one
01:03:15and in fact
01:03:17they might
01:03:17have just
01:03:17presented
01:03:18Brentford
01:03:18the chance
01:03:18to win
01:03:19it here
01:03:19Yarmaluk
01:03:20Wisser
01:03:21and Damsgaard
01:03:23marched out
01:03:24of the way
01:03:24by Morsi
01:03:25he showed
01:03:26lovely fleet
01:03:27of foot
01:03:27and now
01:03:28Inciso's
01:03:28off again
01:03:29and he
01:03:30knows that
01:03:30Clarke is
01:03:30coming
01:03:31Jack Clarke
01:03:33Brentford
01:03:36have got
01:03:37bodies back
01:03:37now
01:03:37but can
01:03:38they stop
01:03:38Hutchinson
01:03:39Omari
01:03:40Hutchinson
01:03:41is off
01:03:41the post
01:03:42I think
01:03:43Flecken
01:03:43might have
01:03:44got fingertips
01:03:44to it
01:03:45on the way
01:03:45as well
01:03:46and they
01:03:46are having
01:03:47a late
01:03:47Portman Road
01:03:48rally
01:03:48here
01:03:49had a
01:03:52much better
01:03:53last 20
01:03:54minutes or
01:03:54so
01:03:54Ipswich
01:03:55I've already
01:04:00had two
01:04:00of the five
01:04:01minutes of
01:04:01stoppage time
01:04:02here
01:04:02so Ipswich
01:04:04are running
01:04:05out of time
01:04:05here's Burgess
01:04:06that could
01:04:07have been
01:04:07it
01:04:08Flecken's
01:04:10made the
01:04:10biggest save
01:04:11of the
01:04:11entire game
01:04:12because Cameron
01:04:13Burgess
01:04:14just needed
01:04:14to keep it
01:04:15down and
01:04:15get it on
01:04:16target
01:04:16he did
01:04:16both of
01:04:17those things
01:04:17the Australian
01:04:18and in
01:04:19his way
01:04:20the extended
01:04:22leg of the
01:04:22Dutchman
01:04:23Flecken
01:04:23and have been
01:04:25beaten in 12
01:04:26league fixtures
01:04:26at Portman Road
01:04:27this season
01:04:27Kieran McKenna's
01:04:28team
01:04:28is it about
01:04:30to be
01:04:30number 13
01:04:31that's brilliant
01:04:34from Amari
01:04:35Hutchinson
01:04:35that's Hurst
01:04:36and that's
01:04:36right at
01:04:37Flecken
01:04:37and that's
01:04:38the latest
01:04:39late
01:04:39Ipswich chance
01:04:40that is also
01:04:42spurned
01:04:42it has
01:04:43finished at
01:04:44Portman Road
01:04:45Ipswich
01:04:450
01:04:45Brentford 1
01:04:47I think today
01:04:48Ipswich
01:04:48were making it
01:04:50very difficult
01:04:50for us
01:04:51I knew
01:04:51they would
01:04:51come with
01:04:52everything
01:04:52and they
01:04:53just
01:04:53they
01:04:54definitely
01:04:54went
01:04:55for it
01:04:55I think
01:04:55the way
01:04:56we started
01:04:56the game
01:04:57the first
01:04:5710
01:04:57very happy
01:04:58with that
01:04:58we're like
01:04:58coming out
01:04:59there
01:05:00let's
01:05:00get on top
01:05:01of this
01:05:01game
01:05:01I think
01:05:01we controlled
01:05:02and dominated
01:05:02the first
01:05:03half
01:05:03and got
01:05:041-0
01:05:04up
01:05:04the second
01:05:05half
01:05:05was a little
01:05:05bit more
01:05:05hectic
01:05:06would love
01:05:06us to
01:05:07control
01:05:08a little
01:05:08bit more
01:05:08we didn't
01:05:09and then
01:05:10the last
01:05:10five
01:05:10they got
01:05:11a big
01:05:11chance
01:05:11where Mark
01:05:12needs to
01:05:17play goal
01:05:17at this
01:05:18level
01:05:18can be
01:05:18especially
01:05:19the first
01:05:19goal
01:05:19can be
01:05:20really
01:05:20decisive
01:05:20and it
01:05:20was today
01:05:21and did
01:05:21it make
01:05:22a difference
01:05:22the way
01:05:22it came
01:05:23about
01:05:23I don't
01:05:23know if
01:05:24that affected
01:05:24concentration
01:05:25at all
01:05:26I don't
01:05:27know
01:05:27I don't
01:05:28think so
01:05:28I think
01:05:29the VAR
01:05:30was a
01:05:31problem
01:05:31in the
01:05:32game
01:05:32to be
01:05:32honest
01:05:32and the
01:05:33usage
01:05:33of it
01:05:33was a
01:05:33problem
01:05:34in the
01:05:34game
01:05:35as it
01:05:35has been
01:05:35plenty
01:05:36of times
01:05:36but
01:05:36that's
01:05:37not my
01:05:39main concern
01:05:40now
01:05:40but
01:05:40it was
01:05:41certainly
01:05:41a frustrating
01:05:42period
01:05:43in the build
01:05:43up to
01:05:43the goal
01:05:44there was
01:05:44a few
01:05:44other ones
01:05:45like it
01:05:45yeah
01:05:46perfect
01:05:46cross
01:05:46the Guffer
01:05:48said before
01:05:48it could
01:05:48be that
01:05:49we went
01:05:49over the
01:05:50set pieces
01:05:50and yeah
01:05:51we did
01:05:51strange
01:05:52situation
01:05:53though around
01:05:53that set
01:05:54piece
01:05:54because I
01:05:54think it
01:05:55took more
01:05:55than three
01:05:55minutes
01:05:56eventually
01:05:56for that
01:05:56corner
01:05:57to come
01:05:57in
01:05:57yeah
01:05:58I think
01:05:58every
01:05:59corner
01:06:00was a bit
01:06:01like
01:06:01a foul
01:06:02or not
01:06:03I don't
01:06:03know
01:06:04I haven't
01:06:04seen
01:06:04anything
01:06:04but
01:06:05yeah
01:06:05we just
01:06:06stayed
01:06:06focused
01:06:06and
01:06:07tried
01:06:07to
01:06:07score
01:06:07yes
01:06:09indeed
01:06:09look at
01:06:10this
01:06:10the away
01:06:11table
01:06:11since the
01:06:12turn of
01:06:12the year
01:06:13Brentford
01:06:13are top
01:06:14of that
01:06:14and the
01:06:15goal came
01:06:16from
01:06:17well we just
01:06:17saw him
01:06:17there
01:06:18a player
01:06:18in great
01:06:19form
01:06:19Shea
01:06:19yeah
01:06:20it's a
01:06:20brilliant
01:06:20goal
01:06:21well worked
01:06:21set play
01:06:22I think
01:06:22Keith
01:06:22Andrews
01:06:22is a
01:06:23set play
01:06:23coach
01:06:23of
01:06:23Brentford
01:06:24deserves
01:06:24a mention
01:06:25we look
01:06:25at
01:06:25Sharda
01:06:26he starts
01:06:26in the
01:06:26goalkeeper
01:06:26no one's
01:06:27near him
01:06:27at any
01:06:28stage
01:06:28we've got
01:06:28Morse
01:06:28in the
01:06:29lap
01:06:29in the
01:06:30near post
01:06:30area
01:06:30and the
01:06:30rest
01:06:30are going
01:06:31man
01:06:31for
01:06:31man
01:06:31you see
01:06:32Morse
01:06:32having
01:06:32luck
01:06:32if anybody
01:06:32is
01:06:33coming
01:06:42there's no
01:06:45Brentford
01:06:45player in
01:06:46his area
01:06:46but he gets
01:06:46sucked out
01:06:47of the
01:06:47goal
01:06:47he walks
01:06:48away
01:06:48from
01:06:48that
01:06:48post
01:06:48look at
01:06:51the
01:06:51hang
01:06:51time
01:06:52that's a
01:06:52brilliant
01:06:53hitter
01:06:53Gary
01:06:53wouldn't you
01:06:53be proud
01:06:54of him
01:06:54sure
01:06:54proud of
01:06:55any of
01:06:55look at
01:06:57this for a
01:06:57stat
01:06:57only three
01:06:58teams in
01:06:59Europe's
01:06:59top five
01:07:00leagues
01:07:00have got
01:07:01three players
01:07:01in double
01:07:02figures
01:07:02for league
01:07:03goals
01:07:04Bayern
01:07:05Barca
01:07:05and the
01:07:05B's
01:07:06sounds like
01:07:07a band
01:07:07there was
01:07:09a lot
01:07:09of holding
01:07:10going on
01:07:10Kieran
01:07:11McKenna
01:07:11wasn't
01:07:12happy
01:07:12with the
01:07:12delays
01:07:13yeah
01:07:13it was
01:07:14every
01:07:14single
01:07:14corner
01:07:15there's
01:07:15so much
01:07:16going on
01:07:16here
01:07:16this is
01:07:17Greaves
01:07:18on
01:07:18Vandenberg
01:07:19and as
01:07:20as the
01:07:21they're having
01:07:22it's all over
01:07:23the place
01:07:23everyone's
01:07:23wrestling
01:07:24now this
01:07:24one for me
01:07:25would be
01:07:26a penalty
01:07:26but it's
01:07:27before
01:07:28the players
01:07:29restarted
01:07:30so it
01:07:30actually
01:07:31doesn't
01:07:31count
01:07:31anyway
01:07:32you can
01:07:32see that
01:07:33he's all
01:07:33over him
01:07:33he's pulled
01:07:34him down
01:07:34but the
01:07:35official line
01:07:36is that
01:07:36the ball
01:07:36hadn't
01:07:36ended
01:07:37the pitch
01:07:37anyway
01:07:38at that
01:07:38point
01:07:39now this
01:07:39one is
01:07:39a penalty
01:07:40I don't
01:07:40understand
01:07:41how that's
01:07:42because
01:07:42Tuanzebi
01:07:43is all
01:07:44over
01:07:44Collins
01:07:44it just
01:07:45wrestles him
01:07:45to the
01:07:45floor
01:07:46that's
01:07:47a stonewall
01:07:47penalty
01:07:48yeah that's
01:07:49like
01:07:49listen I'm
01:07:50all for
01:07:51defending
01:07:51close to
01:07:52your man
01:07:52but that's
01:07:52a little
01:07:53bit too
01:07:53much
01:07:53I think
01:07:54he's just
01:07:54dragged
01:07:54him down
01:07:54so
01:07:55that's
01:07:56that one
01:07:57this is
01:07:57Yarmoluk
01:07:58on Greaves
01:07:58I don't
01:07:59think that
01:07:59this one's
01:08:00a penalty
01:08:00this is
01:08:01just
01:08:01both of
01:08:02them have
01:08:02got hold
01:08:02of each
01:08:03other
01:08:03here we
01:08:04see
01:08:04they've
01:08:05both
01:08:05got hold
01:08:05of each
01:08:05other
01:08:06that's
01:08:06not
01:08:06enough
01:08:06for me
01:08:07but it
01:08:08was
01:08:08every set
01:08:09piece
01:08:09every corner
01:08:10we're running
01:08:10out of time
01:08:11chaps
01:08:11let's get
01:08:12the league
01:08:12table for
01:08:13you
01:08:13Manchester
01:08:14City
01:08:14missed the
01:08:14chance to
01:08:15go level
01:08:15on points
01:08:16with second
01:08:16place
01:08:17Arsenal
01:08:17after their
01:08:180-0 draw
01:08:19at Southampton
01:08:19a seventh
01:08:20winning eight
01:08:21for Aston Villa
01:08:21keeps them
01:08:22firmly in the
01:08:23mix
01:08:23while victories
01:08:24for Brentford
01:08:25and Brighton
01:08:25strengthened
01:08:26their dreams
01:08:26of European
01:08:27football
01:08:27Southampton
01:08:28can no longer
01:08:29become the
01:08:30worst team
01:08:30in Premier League
01:08:31history
01:08:31after recording
01:08:32their 12th
01:08:33point
01:08:33so after
01:08:3426 years
01:08:35of Saturday
01:08:35nights
01:08:36I think that
01:08:36was probably
01:08:37one of the
01:08:38worst
01:08:38no offence
01:08:39lads
01:08:39time to
01:08:40move on
01:08:41I reckon
01:08:41goodbye
