Transcript
00:00Enjoy your flight.
00:02That was a great four days.
00:04I think it was a historic four days.
00:08The jobs and money coming into our country has never been anything like it.
00:13You see that?
00:14And the companies, our American-based companies, are doing work that wouldn't have been available to them, except for November 5th.
00:23November 5th was a big day for our country, so I just want to thank you.
00:27You have great stamina also.
00:29We all have stamina.
00:30As you needed it, that was a test.
00:32I think they were giving us a test.
00:34But it was amazing what they've done.
00:37In all three countries, you can't speak more highly.
00:41The job they've done is, in a fairly short period of time, is just outstanding.
00:46They're great people.
00:48Great leaders.
00:49Great leaders.
00:49Three great leaders.
00:51So it's an honor.
00:52Now we'll go back to D.C.
00:55I have a nice grandchild waiting, which I'll see soon.
00:58But this was a fantastic moment for our country.
01:02I really believe that.
01:03Everyone's talking about it.
01:05And the respect shown to our country was incredible.
01:09Because nobody's treated like that.
01:11Nobody's treated well like that.
01:13So thank you all very much.
01:15Thank you very much.
01:16Mr. President, you arrived here with a big victory.
01:18Nice to see you.
01:19Thanks for bringing us.
01:20You arrived here with a big victory, getting Edan Alexander out, working directly with Hamas,
01:25the last remaining American.
01:27Do you think the Israelis and Bibi Netanyahu can get his hostages out?
01:33I don't know.
01:33We're going to find out pretty soon.
01:35We're going to know pretty soon.
01:36They're not in good shape, as you know.
01:39And different places.
01:41You know, it's not one place.
01:42It's different places.
01:43Some of them are in better shape than others.
01:46A little bit depends on the place where they are.
01:48But we'll be working with them to get them out.
01:50The Israelis didn't want the U.S. to be recognizing the new Syrian government.
01:55Is there a message that that...
01:56I don't know.
01:57I didn't ask them about that.
01:58I thought it was the right thing to do.
01:59I've been given a lot of credit for doing it.
02:02Look, we want Syria to succeed.
02:04It's been a mess for 10 years and much longer than that.
02:08It would not have been...
02:09These were very biting.
02:10When you look at the sanctions, these were really brutal.
02:14And they would have, I would say, zero chance of success.
02:17In this way, they have a chance.
02:18Their leader is a strong person.
02:21But young and a lot of energy.
02:24And wants to do a good job.
02:26Mr. President, the IDF was planning to send in tens of thousands of more troops
02:31and expand the war in Gaza,
02:33especially if there wasn't a ceasefire while you were here.
02:36Do you support that?
02:38Well, we're going to see what happens.
02:39I think a lot of good things are going to happen over the next month.
02:43And we're going to see.
02:44We have to help also out the Palestinians.
02:45You know, a lot of people are starving on Gaza.
02:48So we have to look at both sides.
02:49But we're going to do a good job.
02:53We're very happy with what happened with...
02:55I hope it continues, and I think it will.
02:58But what happens with India and Pakistan, that was a big success.
03:02If you would have seen the level of anger between the two,
03:08that was not a good thing.
03:09Yes.
03:09A senior Hamas leader said that they might be willing to give up power,
03:13an Egyptian proposal, in order to bring peace.
03:16Is that a step that you...
03:17We're going to look at everything, but we want to get the hostages back.
03:20I've gotten a majority, a big majority back.
03:23But we want to get the hostages back.
03:25So we'll see how that works out.
03:27Okay?
03:27Mr. President, are you planning to call Vladimir Putin?
03:29How do you think you can get those talks on track?
03:31No, I may.
03:32We have to meet.
03:33He and I will meet.
03:34I think we'll solve it.
03:35Or maybe not.
03:36But at least we'll know.
03:38And if we don't solve it, it'll be very interesting.
03:41And then did Austin Tice come up when he talked to the Syrian president?
03:44I always talk about Austin Tice now.
03:46Austin Tice hasn't been seen in many, many years.
03:48You know that he's got a great mother who's just working so hard to find her boy.
03:55So I understand it.
03:56But Austin has not been seen in many, many years.
04:00You were joking about the endurance that it takes to do this.
04:03This was a lot to do in a short period of time.
04:05Conversations about endurance often focus now on Joe Biden and his endurance and his abilities.
04:10The Her tapes right now, there's a lot of discussion about it.
04:12When will they be released?
04:14Will you release them?
04:15How soon do you think it's made of it?
04:16Well, I haven't looked into that.
04:16That's up to Pam and the group.
04:18I haven't really looked into it.
04:20Look, everybody understands the condition of him.
04:25I know people that are 89, 90, 92, 93 years old that are literally perfect.
04:31But Joe was not one of them.
04:34And they did a lot of hiding.
04:35They were really playing games.
04:37And, you know, you can't do that.
04:39Our country's just saying, you see, even a thing like this, there's so many decisions for
04:43billions and billions.
04:44But then you have even more important decisions.
04:47You have decisions for life.
04:49And you can't have a man in that condition.
04:52And everybody was holding back, including the press, including the media.
04:56So you're welcoming white South Afrikaners into the country as refugees when you've closed
05:01off that door to a lot of other refugees from other parts of the world.
05:05What message does that send to those who say it isn't?
05:08Why is that fair?
05:09Well, I think if I see people in distress, I don't care what color, what they look like,
05:14what anything, their size, their height, their eyes.
05:17I don't care.
05:18But I think that, from all evidence, the farmers in South Africa are being treated brutally.
05:27And it's been reported.
05:28And nobody wants to cover it.
05:30But they happen to be white.
05:32And if they were black, I'd do the exact same thing.
05:35And we treat people very well when we see there's a genocide going on.
05:39So if it's a genocide, that's terrible.
05:42And I happen to believe it could very well be.
05:45South Africa is out of control.
05:47And it's been out of control for a long time.
05:49And the media doesn't report it.
05:50And I'm not looking for reporting because, believe me, it's easier for me not to do anything.
05:56It's because I don't get nasty questions like that.
05:58But the fact is that we're about saving lives.
06:01And we're going to do that.
06:02So we've made a home.
06:04And we'll make a home for other people that are treated badly, no matter what their color.
06:07Will you go to the G20?
06:09Will you go to the G20 there?
06:10I'm not sure.
06:11Not sure.
06:11I'm really not sure.
06:11On Iraq, has the U.S. given them a formal proposal?
06:14Has Steve Wyckoff handed that over?
06:16Yeah, they have a proposal.
06:17But more importantly, they know they have to move quickly.
06:20Something bad is going to happen.
06:22Thank you very much.
06:23How's Tiffany doing?
06:23She's well.
06:24Good.
06:24It's good to go.
06:25Congratulations on your advance.
