After years of abuse by agriculture and industry, the forests surrounding Mount Aigoual ( South of France), had been reduced to a fraction of its former size, but through dedicated work, 68 million trees were planted in 35 years to try and bring the forest back. This remarkable film follows the 19th century story of a mountain’s reforestation, and of those who were committed to it despite many challenges, often from their fellow man.
