This good-looking, powerfully-built daredevil now pilots the high-speed AK1 helicopter. He was born in the former East Germany and there made it to the rank of major in the air force. Later, he worked as a test pilot for the West German airline industry and was one of the West German Air Force's leading air safety officers in Lower Saxony. What's more, he has several times become world champion in helicopter stunt flying. But after a child was killed at one of his air shows, he gave it all up and moved out into the country.
