Pakistan's gross human rights violations in Balochistan

Balochistan, April 19 (ANI): Brutal torture, illegal detention and exploitation of natural resources mark Pakistan’s occupation of Balochistan. The Balochs, who have been leading a life of misery since 1948, when the free and sovereign state was forcibly annexed by Pakistan, are victims of gross human rights violations and abuses by the Pakistan army and its intelligence agencies. The situation worsened after the Musharraf regime launched a military operation in Balochistan in 2004. Today arrests, kidnappings, disappearances and illegal detention of Baloch students, political workers and leaders by Pakistani police and military intelligence have become common.
