This one arrived in the shop in a box. Previous owner had run it on a 50:1 mix - not good. It had knocked the bushings out of the wrist pins and galled the bronze babbit center main bearing. I had another powerhead from a '63 10hp that had good pistons, rods and block. Some mixing and matching produced a good running motor - sort of. First time I ran it I discovered a rhythmic chunking sound - turns out the gears were shot due to running with water in the lower unit. Found a set of gears from another parts motor, replaced the hogged out lower unit bushings and now it runs sweet!
