Girl with the Flaxen Hair (Debussy-Pollen)

La fille aux cheveux de lin is a musical composition by French composer Claude Debussy. It is the eighth number from the composer's Préludes, Book I. The title is in French and translates roughly to "The Girl with the Flaxen Hair". The piece is about 38 bars long and has a running time of about two and a half minutes. It is considered to be one of Debussy's greatest pieces, and is one of the most recorded, both in its original version and various arrangements. It was written right before Debussy went to war in 1910. This version was arranged for orchestra by George Pollen. The girl is Jemma Collyer.
