The Juel festival in Aarhus. A very big celebration. Here Christmas is taken very seriously still, and is a big family occasion. Not unlike, a money making market. Here Calenders with the numbers 1 to 25 and Candles are bought,. The candle is lit each night at dinner, till it is burnt down to 25. Blown out after each night. The calender is pulled off by number, and inside is a little box, with a surprise in. From chocolates to sweets, etc. Marzipan is bought and stars etc are cut out, left to dry then hung on the tree with other decorations. Dinner is held on Xmas Eve, with a few Presents opened at midnight and others the next day, with family gathered around the tree sining. drinking Mull and eating cookies. It's wonderful and I wish back home, it was still held so precious as it is here.
