The Lotus Elite has been unveiled at the Paris Motor Show.

On sale in 2014, the Elite is a 2+2 hardtop convertible which measures 4.60m long, 1.90m wide, and 1.32m tall. Styling is virtually identical to the Eterne four-door coupe, but there are minor differences including revised taillights and a sportier dual exhaust system.

Power comes from a front-mid mounted 5.0-liter V8 engine which produces 620 PS (456 kW / 612 hp) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the Elite to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 315 km/h (196 mph).

A hybrid variant will also be offered and it will use a Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) and a transmission with two integrated electric motors. While the company is staying mum on details, Lotus said the hybrid will have CO2 emissions as low as 215 g/km.
