A teacher in western India has come up with unique ideas to recycle electronic waste products. The E-scraps can be turned into items with endless design possibilities.

In an effort to conserve the environment, a computer science teacher in India's Ahmadabad City has come up with unique ideas for recycling electronic products.

Things like a cell phone stand have been made from a floppy disk, a flower vase out of a computer monitor and wind chimes out of computer hard disk components, and more.

[Suchi Patel, Student]:
"We throw old mobiles and computers. Sir (Raval) taught us, what new things can be developed out of them. We can be creative and design new things to decorate our homes with them."

The possibilities are endless to design unique items out of the common gadgets like computer screens and hard disk components.

[Bhakti Bhatt, Trainee]:
"The first item that I was taught to design was a computer monitor that can be reused as a flower vase, which is washable and can be kept in home, or office, or anywhere else."

Electronic waste management is fast becoming a new business trend.

It includes the reusing of discarded, surplus, obsolete, or broken devices like audiovisual components, televisions, VCRs, stereo equipment, computers and mobile phones.
