The world's premier Chinese classical dance company, Shen Yun Performing Arts, continues its worldwide tour today. At a recent show in the U.S. city of Indianapolis, it left a powerful impression on one U.S. congressman. Here's more.
Shen Yun presents 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture, from the times of the great emperors through to the present day.
Dan Burton is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Indiana's 5th district. He saw Shen Yun Performing Arts at Clowes Memorial Hall of Butler University, in Indianapolis.
[Dan Burton, Congressman]:
"Everything's perfect. It's like somebody came out of the heavens and put a perfect program together. It can't be any better than this. It's just great."
[Dan Burton, Congressman]:
"I just think that all the training that they've gone through and the coordination and the music. I mean it's just indescribable. I've never seen anything as beautiful as this. And the men and the women in the show, and the orchestra, everything's fantastic. I mean, I can't find anything wrong with it. I've been to Broadway. I've been to great plays, and performances, and I've never seen anything quite like this. Just fantastic. Everybody, everybody, ought to see it."
