Pakistan has arrested 26 Indian fishermen for straying into Pakistani waters. Pakistan and India frequently arrest fishermen illegally entering their oceanic border in the Arabian Sea.

On Thursday, Pakistan's Maritime Agency arrested 26 Indian fishermen for illegally fishing in Pakistani waters.

The fishermen were handed over to the docks police station in the port city of Karachi.

The South Asian rivals frequently arrest each other's fishermen for illegal trespassing... they are subsequently released and sent back to their respective countries.

Last year Pakistan and India released hundreds of detained fishermen.

India shares an expansive oceanic border with Pakistan without any clear demarcation.

Fishermen from both countries frequently stray into each other's territory and end up spending years in jail.
