In This video I ask the important questions! What do you watch on youtube, and what keeps you from watching a web series (or does it?) once again a Web Series is defined as a show in which an actor constantly plays the same character in a story. Anthologies are what most youtubers who do scripted material are doing, shows like blackbox TV, Shane Dawson, Olgakay, the Station are producing anthologies NOT web series. For a more in depth definition check out: http://bit.ly/whatisawebseries Wikipedia states: A web series is a series of episodes released on the Internet or also by mobile or cellular phone, and part of the newly emerging medium called web television. A single instance of a web series program is called an episode (the term webisode has been largely deprecated). HOWEVER – based on the terminology set in motion by Television this definition is not specific enough. Just because we’re in a new medium does not change the definitions. An actor is still an actor (not a Web Actor), a writer still a writer (not a WebTer).
