Why god created us?

Dear Gurumaa, I am Hindu and I was brought up with the fact that the purpose of human life is to attain Moksha. I was brought up in Kenya where I am constantly in touch with people from different religious faith & I realize that no matter what religion they are from, they seek the answer why God created us? What was his purpose and idea of Moksha? According to me there is really no answer to this question as Moksha is something we wish to attain through our lives but what was Gods reason behind giving us our life? Gurumaa Ji :- Preeti, you might be startled with my answer but I am going to give you factual, realistic answer and the answer is that whole nature & your being is not created for accumulation & for attainment of certain divine purpose like Moksha or anything similar to that. This life is a boon but because of the ignorance people have changed this life into a curse and thus they are squirming & working hard somehow so that they can come out of this torturous cycle of life & death. People who could not understand life they think that this life is a hell & we do need a salvation from it. This life is certainly not a hell... and this life is certainly not even a haven. It is what we make out of it. So there is as such no purpose given by God. Regarding what we should do or what should we strive for, it is we human beings who give a description and we make the selection that this would be the purpose of my life and if they cant understand what is the purpose then they begin to wonder that may be God has some purpose in creating us. Well, I cant speak on behalf of God, I do speak on my own behalf & my understanding & my experience says that this life is meant to celebrate, this life is meant to evolve, this life is an opportunity given to us, to know who we are, what is our source and what this nature is. So it is all upon your individual capacity how far you wish to go. But there is no end to learning, so you can say life is learning, life is celebration, life is evolvement.
